i'm not the target audience for this type of venue - city, trendy, on Polk. But personally I was underwhelmed. I got the Pork Chop which was $26 and while humongous and yummy, honestly 20%-30% of it was fat that I cut off and left on the plate.

delicious food, and great service! This place is a butcher shop with a bistro attached to it. Clean, nice place! just a few thing though: (1) portions are very small, and (2) dishes are quite oily. They use a lot of lard. But it makes everything tasty! definitely a must go for people who enjoy meat! :)

We enjoy eating food that we knew is sourced as local and as high quality as possible. The menu options show that they use the entire animal in their culinary creations and it was fun to venture out and try the beef heart meatballs which were delicious. Our entrees of mutton and bone in pork chop were exceptional. Only complaint about the food was the smashed potatoes that was served as a side. They looked like they may have been left over from brunch and that is fine but they were just barely warm. Smash those spuds a little more, serve them up hot with a nice dollop of that house made butter and some creme fraiche, maybe a sprig of fresh herbs on top and you'll have a winner.

I can't believe that this place isn't swarming with more people. I'm almost afraid to post my rave reviews because I don't want other people to discover how awesome it is. But Belcampo deserves it. I'm not even a big fan of meat, but the food here is absolutely AMAZING. This was our third time at Belcampo since it opened a couple of months ago and the whole menu is mouthwateringly excellent. I recommend the squash & zucchini salad and the bone-in pork chop. My husband had the mutton chops and loved them. (He's Persian, very picky about his lamb, and complains about lamb at every restaurant EXCEPT for Belcampo.) I've also had the New York steak before and it was good... you really can't go wrong.

Belcampo doesn’t have their liquor license yet, so dinner felt lacking without wine to go with it. You can’t bring your own wine either. The food was disappointing. I had the beef navel confit. The dish was tiny! Not worthy of an appetizer serving. My husband had the cheeseburger, which was good, but you really can’t go wrong with a cheeseburger. Our friend had the pork chop. Unfortunately, it was still raw towards the inside. Service was fine. The dessert menu was uninspiring. Excepted so much more from this place. Sadly, we won’t be going back.

The food was tasty, however, the plates were really small. Also, they did not serve beer or wine! I took my husband there for his birthday but it's hard to feel like you are celebrating without a little wine! Kind of disappointing. Also the place was completely empty, not a very festive environment.

A wonderful restaurant where you can eat the meat of animals that had happy healthy lives and were not tortured. When animals are tortured it puts adrenaline into the meat and we eat that adrenaline. The food was creative, flavorful, they use all parts of the animals and offered some unique offerings. The flavor of the meat is of course excellent and all of the food was very good. The service was very professional and friendly. It was a very enjoyable meal. The only down side is that the menu is a little limited, but maybe in time they will expand it.

Server had no knowledge of menu or cuts. She had no idea of how items were prepared or could the cuts pf meet be described. Expensive for the quality. No wine or beer license - would have been notified when restaurant confirmed reservation m

Our experience was mediocre at Bel Campo, not because of the service but the food. The food portions were skimpy, the fried chicken was tough and the cabbage salad was too tangy, not chopped enough. Seems like they don't have the secrets down and practice of preparing great food ...maybe their concept is too new. The staff was very friendly. Suggest they put up pictures of the ranch at Shasta around the restaurant rather than pictures of meat cuts.
