  • "Yummy as always! Steaks are always done just right and we enjoy the old school style of crackers, salads, and ambiance."

  • "It was our anniversary and my husband wanted to take me somewhere special. We drove an hour and a half from Kershaw County , nothing like I remembered. We had an 8 0'clock reservation (and it was closer to 845 when we were seated) (lots of available tables, but they seated three couples before us that came in after us. Great waitress. I ordered the lobster tail ($45). The salad was the best part of the meal. The steak was a nice size but overcooked for medium rare and the lobster tail was good. The drawn butter was cold and tasted terrible. I agreed everything was good not wanting to embarrass my husband which ate only a hamburger steak ($14) but was determined I was going to order what I actually ordered. You asked so I told you!"

  • "My wife and l have lived in Charlotte for almost 20 years and have been meaning to try Beef & Bottle. We finally went for our anniversary. Despite our loud table right next to the kitchen, we will definitely be going back. Salads and sides are included with most of the entrees & extra sides are only $5. We each had a filet and they were as perfectly cooked and flavorful as you could hope for in any of the well known, high end steak houses. Our waitress brought me my A1 as requested but with the (polite) demand that I also try the steak without it. I'm glad she suggested that, because the steak was fabulous. The place did get quite loud ("energetic" as noted above) but the value and fantastic food more than make up for any of that."

  • "Service was very good but my steak was mostly gristle."

  • "Great time here. The oysters were huge and the meal flavoursome. Tried a few different reds of the wine list that fell a bit short but it was made up for by the atmosphere and beautifully medium rare steak."

  • "I live in San Francisco and have been coming here for years. I never miss the opportunity to dine at beef and bottle, especially when my Hogle valet driver will bring us back and forth. This restaurant is the culmination of all that is needed... A great owner/ manager., great steady food, old fashioned customer service and a welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere."

  • "The food & service was amazing!! A little dark for my liking - had a hard time reading the menu with no lights but will definitely go back."

  • "This noise level would be my only issue. Hard to carry on conversation at own table... Everything else great!!!!!!!!!"

  • "The steaks are good, in this remarkable time warp rabbit warren of odd, small rooms. The only thing changed since they opened in 1958 is the prices, which approximate those of the big name steakhouses. We sat in the Doris Day booth, which we're told is the most often requested, perhaps as it's mid-room, away from the front and kitchen doors. If you want to experience the kind of place where Doris might have eaten, along with big family and work-related groups, go there. Next time I feel the need for beef, I'll probably opt for one of the big chains, which offer a more upscale feel."

  • "You won't experience an upscale atmosphere at Beef & Bottle. It's not for the froufrou or faint of heart. You go for the rich delicious food and personal attentive service. After you visit once, you'll know you have found a hidden treasure. You can't beat the steak, and the crab dip appetizer was worth every calorie. The wine list is not overwhelming but has enough choices for the expert vino connoisseur or everyday wino. The people are great, and personable. The food is served in due time no matter how busy they are. They got this down! Go."

  • "This is only my 2nd time going to Beef 'N Bottle and it definitely will NOT be my last! I love that it is a local spot, it's not stuffy like some of the other steakhouses in Charlotte, it's great food and great service in a relaxing atmosphere! There were 5 of us and every single person raved about their meal that night and even the next day! "

  • "The B 'n B hits a home run every time. Another great meal served by wonderful people. My wife and I love going here and feel welcome and at home each visit. Delicious food at fair prices equal great value. And the servers are almost all long term employees who really know their business. A powerful combination that delivers every meal."

  • "At a special place like this one would like to have you feel more special. Hurrying from one table to next makes you feel like an after thought."

  • "For those who want really good food..and great service...this is it! My husband had the NY Strip..and I had the shrimp.....YES, the shrimp was great (as well as his "strip"). Salad dressings are homemade... grilled bread....sorry can't report on dessert....we didn't save room! If you like "back in the day" ambiance and people who really care about their customers (not to mention the good food)...you'll be a fan! "

  • "I have been to all of the "big name " steakhouses in Charlotte and the steak at the beef and bottle is the best tasting by far. They are consistently great. Sides are great. Try it."
