Caesar salad didn't cross the Rubicon of excitement, the cheeseburger was less memorable than In n Out and the prices were unjustified save for the establishment being in the price belt of Beverly Hills."

  • "This is a very nice restaurant conveniently locate on the corner of Brighton and Bedford in Beverly Hills. Although the noise level made conversation a bit challenging, both the food and excellent service make it a go-to place for lunch. The meals were quite good; there are a number of choices and the service was excellent. I recommend Bedford & Burns as a nice place for both comfort food and more exotic tastes."

As much as I love the spot & the owners & staff ... service needs to improve there are some terrific dishes; Calamari salad , gazpacho, burger, tuna tartare , caesar salad, fish tacos, and more ... but - more salads are needed ... clean simple salads. The Italian chop is far far too cumbersome & has too many ingredients ... 4 different meats !?!!? ... zucchini, corn, lettuces, and more. ....TOOOOOO MUCH ! Glad to see a restaurant in this location make it for a year !! Lunch is PACKED .. I recommend reservations !"

  • "Food was pretty good although the cheddar biscuits were disappointing - no cheddar flavor. The weakest thing was the service. The waiter did the very minimum, not offering a second drink, wine with dinner, or dessert. The busboy left finished plates on the table until he brought the next course although he wasn't busy. It was an adquate but entirely forgettable experience. To make matters worse, the restaurant reported to Open Table that we had failed to show up! We had to straighten out that misunderstanding."

  • "We have been to Bedford & Burns several times. The drinks and appetizers have been much better than the entrees every time. This last visit, my swordfish was cool, not hot and the curry sauce was served on top, not on the side as requested and it was thick and pretty bland. Couldn't eat the sides, either. I want to love this place. The soups are delish and the salads good. Have been underwhelmed with the entrees. A few times, the food was so salty, I could not eat it. Beverly Hills really needs a great neighborhood place that's easy to fall into, like the Hamlet on Sunset used to be. I appreciate that the noise level is comfortable and you can talk to each other at the table."

  • "I was excited to try this restaurant, but it was a underwhelming. The restaurant was very nicely designed, but I thought the food was only mediocre. The service was below par, unfortunately, and I was overall very disappointed. I had roasted duck which was their special, but it was totally overdone, and too sweet with the sauce. I also thought most of the textures of the side courses, and the soup were basically the same. Their menu ranged from a variety of options, so I thought I would be able to find some good options, but alas... :( I would try this one more time to make sure my experience was not wrong, but I'm hoping this will improve over the next few months before I try it again."

  • "Great meeting place for friends at lunch. Staff was very attentive without hovering and surroundings are pleasant but not overstated. We shared the tuna tartar to start and both had very crispy and fresh house salads to accompany our entrees. My friend had the salmon and found it to be quite good. I had the trout. It was surrounded by a nice selection of roasted veggies. While it was moist and flavorful it had a little too much oil on the fish and the veggies for my taste. (same could be said of the won ton chips with the tuna) Dessert menu was inviting but not in the post holiday diet period for us, so we skipped. Overall quite pleasant but a bit on the noisy side."

My favs are the brussel sprouts, kale salad, cheeseburger, margherita pizza and ALL of the soups are good. The kale salad is SO good. I think everything is priced well.   • "Went for an early new year's eve dinner, but ordered off the regular menu. Started with two excellent cocktails -- the Griddle is just phenomenal...rye bourbon, maple syrup, egg whites, and a piece of bacon. Yum! Girlfriend had the pear-infused vodka. Tasty, too. Shared the shrimp pesto pizza and butternut squash burrata as appetizers, then we each ordered the Channel Island sea bass with broccolini and tapenade, which was cooked perfectly, sharing a side of Brussels sprouts. I hadn't been to this restaurant site in decades, but will absolutely be back to eat again. And soon."

  • "My wife and I had dinner here on Friday night with another couple. I can say it was a very enjoyable evening. The waiter was very knowledgable and attentive ( but did not hover) , the food was excellent - 2 of us ordered the steak frites, one had the spaghetti and chicken meatballs and one had the special pork chops- all very good. My steak melted in my mouth before I could chew! Desert was fruit cobbler with ice cream , very nice! I recommend this restaurant, and will go back and try it for lunch also"

Bonnie Burns, the hostess and co-owner could not have been more helpful and kind....a very rare experience to find these days. Prices were reasonable and the menu was homey.   • "My date and I hit Bedford on a Saturday night at 7:30p. The bar was full but the tables were mostly empty. The place was much more full by the time we left. Our waiter was top notch in very way. They had 5 or more soups on the menu, and the two we ordered were very tasty, very good. Same with our salads, nicely done. They had a steak on special and I ordered it, and it was nice, tasty and cooked just right, with nice veggies on the side. My date ordered a couple veggie dishes and she was pleased. We'll go back."

  • "Our friends are always raving about the incredible lunch spot they found, well, we tried it for dinner on a Friday night. Party of five (we brought our five year old with us). We all agreed it blew us away. Incredible food, everything we tried was exceptional. The menu description doesn't begin to convey how great the food is.... we consider ourselves foodies and this hit every mark. Great wine list, not overwhelming but solid choices. Starters, awesome. My kale salad was the best I have ever had. Entrees were out of this world (we all had something different and agreed it was exceptional). Menu really hits all tastes, wonderful family owners were all in the house and service was attentive. Truly pleased - we will be back!"

  • "I took my husband here for his Birthday. It was our first time and turned out to be a perfect evening. The Caesar Salad is one of the best in town and the chicken meatballs were incredible. The evening ended with a good old fashioned hot fudge sundae. My husband and I look forward to returning to try the thin-crust pizza and homemade soups!"

  • "We ate at Bedford and Burns for the first time last Saturday night. It will be a new go-to spot for us. The comfortable but chic ambiance with all of the Burns (of Bobbie Burns fame) family in evidence was reminiscent of Suzanne Goin's restaurants. We started with calimari, their famous over-the-top bruschetta, and grilled artichokes. These are fun to share and simply delicious with a signature flavor to each that set them apart. We enjoyed the kale and Caesar salads and the mushroom soup was diviine. My husband had the special short ribs, I had the special chicken with morels and our guest enjoyed his Steak Frites. Everything was tender and artfully seasoned. The dining room was packed when we left at 8:00 p.m. Enjoy!"

  • "Be prepared for it possibly being VERY loud inside, depending on how busy and how many parties are in the restaurant. For the first half of our meal it was so loud inside that I almost couldn't stand it - yes I am a little bit sensitive to noise. Once a few of the more boisterous groups left, it was just fine though. The pureed Market Vegetable soup was really great. The roasted chicken was juicy and perfectly prepared, but it's just a breast and wing, I believe. All of our food was very good."

  • "My husband and I weren't terribly hungry and decided that B&B would offer the right mix of options for us, if we didn't want to have A main course. It was perfect. They have great soups, for one thing. My tomato bisque was yummy. My husband loves the onion soup. He says its as good as it gets. I had the ahi tartare appetizer for my "meal" and it was almost more than I could finish. He had the Bouillabaisse and it was a huge bowl of seafood in a delicious broth. More food than he probably wanted, but it was finished nonetheless. The cocktails are always good here. We like the variety of the menu, with comfort food as well as "foodie" fare. So regardless of what we might be in the mood for, we can usually find something just right."
