A word from Bedford & Burns
In the heart of Beverly Hills’ Golden Triangle, the Burns Family welcomes you to their fresh take on the American bistro. In a warm residential setting, punctuated by great contemporary art, or on the heated sidewalk patio, guests dine on a menu of personal favorites drawing upon the abundant resources available to us in Southern California. Fresh oysters, wood-fired pizzas and meats, and classic fare, including the famous Bob Burns Caesar salad, offer cuisine that is one part solid tradition and the other part fresh inspiration. California wines, craft beers and classic cocktails round out the dining experience.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "The food and selection were both good. Our mushroom pizza with truffle oil was delicious. Have had better banana cream pie but was still quite good. A great place for a large group since it wasn't loud and there's a large selection on the menu. If you're looking for a scene-y restaurant, perhaps not the place as the crowd seemed to skew older. I prefer food over club-y vibe and if you do too, you may want to check this restaurant out."

  • "My request for a quiet table was honored and even the arrival of a party of 14 nearby was handled adroitly. My companions had not been there before and commented on the comfortable ambiance and look of the dining room. Cocktails and meals were delicious and the peach cobbler was a standout."

  • "We love this restaurant - great staff and a menu from which I want to have everything - straight forward and well prepared food attractively presented. This, like Porta Via on Canon is a real neighborhood gem"

  • "always very good food and service .We were five for lunch and had different things from fish tacos to heuvos rancheros and soups and chicken curry salad and everything was delicious including their berry crumble.I look forward to going back."

  • "we went back for our 4 th dinner experience with different friends… this place can do no wrong… we all came away with our tummies filled with yummy, food… and you couldn't ask for better staff or host/hostess people to round out a great evening.."

  • "Double date at Bedford & Burns on a Saturday night was just "okay". Some food items were BAD (key lime pie, NY Steak) -- and some food items were BETTER --(artichoke appetizer, lamb chops)... but nothing was BEST. Service was good. Atmosphere pretty but not terribly memorable. Just so-so all around. Sort of like you want to say nicely at the end of evening, " that was okay but come on... you can do better than this..."."

  • "I always love the food, quality and vareity that the restaurant offers. However, we were seated in the main section at a table in the middle and it was virtually impossible to hear my dining companions. I eat at B&B often, so in the future I will request a booth or a table at the far end of the restaurant."

  • "The bar staff know their stuff. This is mixology quality. Service staff are polite, efficient, know when to approach and when to serve the main course (thank u Annie!) Food is reasonable in price and excellent. The hostess treats you like a old time customer and you feel good eating there. Check it out!"

  • "I asked for crispy bacon in my breakfast sandwich, but it arrived with no bacon at all. My companion had a salad and its avocado was left off! Both were brought quickly on the side and both completed dishes were delicious. The manager then brought us a wonderful berry crumble a la mode as an apology and we left satisfied and happy. This well-handled incident was appreciated particularly because I had recently had a problem at a different restaurant that was so poorly handled I'll never go back to that one. I'll definitely go back to Bedford and Burns, though."

  • "this restaurant is consistently good. From the warm greeting at the door to the excellent food and service I always enjoy my time there "

  • "The decor is nice but the food mediocre. This relatively new restaurant must be in financial trouble already since they charge $1 for bread (which was mediocre). I won't be returning."
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "Slow service, tight quarters(people bumping into your chairs the whole time), two uni-sex bathrooms for entire restaurant and you could barely hear the people at your table."

  • "here is a good opportunity to have a great bar & drink selections, wines and beers on tap, very good food selection from Exotic and Interesting specials to their great Burger and the Pizza, fabulous.... in a comfortable contemporary designed setting- the owner walks around and seems to truly care about your satisfaction with the experience- quiet enough to talk, hear and be heard- lovely evening......we'll be back-"

  • "Fairly extensive menu but difficult to discern the chef's intent or theme - just da ya want meat or fish kind of menu. Caesar salad didn't cross the Rubicon of excitement, the cheeseburger was less memorable than In n Out and the prices were unjustified save for the establishment being in the price belt of Beverly Hills."

  • "A group of us went out to dinner after work. The location was perfect. The server was knowledgeable and helpful. The food was delicious and presented nicely. The overall experience was pleasant."

  • "This is a very nice restaurant conveniently locate on the corner of Brighton and Bedford in Beverly Hills. Although the noise level made conversation a bit challenging, both the food and excellent service make it a go-to place for lunch. The meals were quite good; there are a number of choices and the service was excellent. I recommend Bedford & Burns as a nice place for both comfort food and more exotic tastes."

  • "Bedford and Burns delivers a consistent food experience. I would like to see them bring up the food just one notch. The salads are OK, but not amazing. The fish tacos, cheddar bisquits, and burgers are always great."

  • "Bedford & Burns is a terrific lunch spot . As much as I love the spot & the owners & staff ... service needs to improve there are some terrific dishes; Calamari salad , gazpacho, burger, tuna tartare , caesar salad, fish tacos, and more ... but - more salads are needed ... clean simple salads. The Italian chop is far far too cumbersome & has too many ingredients ... 4 different meats !?!!? ... zucchini, corn, lettuces, and more. ....TOOOOOO MUCH ! Glad to see a restaurant in this location make it for a year !! Lunch is PACKED .. I recommend reservations !"

  • "Not a bad experience, but nothing to make me run back...noise was deafening, even at lunch. Food was good, server attentive. Host accommodating and friendly."

  • "Food was pretty good although the cheddar biscuits were disappointing - no cheddar flavor. The weakest thing was the service. The waiter did the very minimum, not offering a second drink, wine with dinner, or dessert. The busboy left finished plates on the table until he brought the next course although he wasn't busy. It was an adquate but entirely forgettable experience. To make matters worse, the restaurant reported to Open Table that we had failed to show up! We had to straighten out that misunderstanding."

  • "The food was graat, especially the salads and the torte desserts. The service was also excellent. I liked that they offered a lot of comfort food. All in all we thought the food was excellent and our server was very attentive. We would certainly go back!"

  • "food consistently good, service always attentive. Portions generous and prices on most items moderate. Pleasant dining experience each time... have eaten there over 20 times since it opened. a tad noisy for serious conversations."

  • "We had a delicious dinner. Our waiter was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable and also very attentive. This was our second time eating dinner at Bedford & Burns and I will certainly go back."

  • "We have been to Bedford & Burns several times. The drinks and appetizers have been much better than the entrees every time. This last visit, my swordfish was cool, not hot and the curry sauce was served on top, not on the side as requested and it was thick and pretty bland. Couldn't eat the sides, either. I want to love this place. The soups are delish and the salads good. Have been underwhelmed with the entrees. A few times, the food was so salty, I could not eat it. Beverly Hills really needs a great neighborhood place that's easy to fall into, like the Hamlet on Sunset used to be. I appreciate that the noise level is comfortable and you can talk to each other at the table."

  • "I was excited to try this restaurant, but it was a underwhelming. The restaurant was very nicely designed, but I thought the food was only mediocre. The service was below par, unfortunately, and I was overall very disappointed. I had roasted duck which was their special, but it was totally overdone, and too sweet with the sauce. I also thought most of the textures of the side courses, and the soup were basically the same. Their menu ranged from a variety of options, so I thought I would be able to find some good options, but alas... :( I would try this one more time to make sure my experience was not wrong, but I'm hoping this will improve over the next few months before I try it again."

  • "Great meeting place for friends at lunch. Staff was very attentive without hovering and surroundings are pleasant but not overstated. We shared the tuna tartar to start and both had very crispy and fresh house salads to accompany our entrees. My friend had the salmon and found it to be quite good. I had the trout. It was surrounded by a nice selection of roasted veggies. While it was moist and flavorful it had a little too much oil on the fish and the veggies for my taste. (same could be said of the won ton chips with the tuna) Dessert menu was inviting but not in the post holiday diet period for us, so we skipped. Overall quite pleasant but a bit on the noisy side."

  • "It's not often in LA that one can actually enjoy a business lunch beyond the business aspect. This lovely restaurant brings back the simplicity and necessity of elegance. Not overdone, not trying... it just is. The Burns sisters are a welcoming force that still maintain dining as culturally essential. Gathering for a meal as a vitally sensual way of life - whether doing business or effortlessly enjoying a moment with friends. This gem is a must. Enjoy."

  • "I live down the street so I come here quite often. The decor and ambience is quite nice. Food is good too. My favs are the brussel sprouts, kale salad, cheeseburger, margherita pizza and ALL of the soups are good. The kale salad is SO good. I think everything is priced well. Service is friendly and prompt, solid dinner spot."

  • "Went for an early new year's eve dinner, but ordered off the regular menu. Started with two excellent cocktails -- the Griddle is just phenomenal...rye bourbon, maple syrup, egg whites, and a piece of bacon. Yum! Girlfriend had the pear-infused vodka. Tasty, too. Shared the shrimp pesto pizza and butternut squash burrata as appetizers, then we each ordered the Channel Island sea bass with broccolini and tapenade, which was cooked perfectly, sharing a side of Brussels sprouts. I hadn't been to this restaurant site in decades, but will absolutely be back to eat again. And soon."

  • "Had a great dinner here. The manager Charlie was excellent and service staff very nice. There is a nice round table for 2-3 that is nice for a romantic dinner or more private experience. Food was good. Amazing French onion soup...salads were excellent. The restaurant is not pretentious for its location."
