Excellent chicken, perfect vegetables & flavorful stuffing. The sea bass looked wonderful and a great presentation. The salmon was a little strong on "fish Flavor" and the least favorite of the meals. The service was terrific. I gave 4 stars, instead of 5, because our server didn't tell us the daily specials. He never mentioned a special main dish or the special dessert. I happened to overhear another server telling his table about the peach cobbler (which sounded divine) so that's how I knew to ask our server about it. Glad I did because it was delish! Never found out if there was a main dish special was that night. I ordered the fork tender ribs and the meat melts in your mouth! My friend had the pork chop and she loved it. We also had their bacon cheddar biscuits which were warm and delicious. This restaurant provided both in a fun atmosphere that utilizes local suppliers for its food. My wife had the chicken which was outstanding, full of flavor and very moist. I cannot emphasize enough the fantastic service that was provided not only by our server but by every staff member at this restaurant. The place was packed. The noise level was very loud, it was hard to hear ourselves talk. The food was just ok, I was hugely disappointed since it cost me $40 with a tip. The entrée, grilled shrimp over cowboy caviar was good, but the shrimp were very small and I did not feel that was an entrée, it felt more like an appetizer. The soup was pureed and too sweet and the desert (pineapple upside down cake with cherry ice cream) was nothing special. The cake was dry. Over all, it was over priced and disappointing. The food is fabulous, but not fussy, and the waitstaff is excellent. That combination of assets is enhanced by the fact that you can really relax at Beckett's Table. I never feel hurried or anxious or underdressed or intimidated by the menu. The feta cheese appetizer we had was absolutely delicious. I'm Greek so I have had my share of feta cheese growing up but never have I tasted such a delicious version as they prepared. This is the best I have ever had. My wife and I are going to try to duplicate this at home. The deep fried deviled eggs were also delicious.

The food was great, the service was great, and the restaurant held our reservation an extra 10 minutes, even though it was Restaurant Week and they were BUSY. Only 2 downside comments: we were pretty much right in the center of the dining area and it was NOISY. I think next time we will ask for a corner where it won't be so loud. One of our party ordered the short ribs. They were quite tasty, but were a little dry even though there was a sauce. More sauce was needed. We will be back. Other comments: although there is outside dining, it borders street or parking lot, so not too scenic. We'd heard many good things about Beckett's and we were not disappointed. The menu was varied with some great twists on some "common" food items - how about deep friend fried deviled eggs with aoili sauce - amazing!! Split pea pasta with corn broth & spring greens was to die for as were the grilled BBQ glazed shrimp. Desserts were spot on - especially the pineapple upside down cake - without being sugary sweet. Service was very good. Our server was very personable & efficient and knowledgable about the menu items. The room was quite crowded with people enjoying their Friday night out. Our waitress, Pamela was completely knowledgeable about the menu, and the matching wines. I had the Pork Osso Buco and my wife had the Beef Short Ribs. Both were fall off the bone tender, and the meal was a complex blend of wonderful tastes, meaty, sweet, and savory. Competent, creative, but doesn't inspire that "I can't live without..." compulsion in me. Saw it on Check Please! Arizona. Tried the AZ Restaurant Week menu. Hubby had a delicious smoked onion & potato soup followed by the green chile stew. Loved both: stew a 9. Dessert was deconstructed S'More. Not a big hit. I had the deep fried deviled eggs which were okay. My main course was barbequed shrimp over Texas caviar with an avocado crema. The shrimp were large but a bit dry. Liked the Texas caviar & loved the avocado crema. Dessert was pineapple cake with cherry ice cream. Cake was dry but the ice cream was fantastic. Overall my husband would definitely go back but I wouldn't drive from North Scottsdale for the food I had. We will try again someday. Our waiter, Drew, was great! We arrived early to participate in the Social Hour where we sat at the huge community table. The abiance was perfect! Gorgeous table, fun view of the bar and the kitchen, fresh flowers, friendly and prompt service. Hip and happening place yet we had no trouble with noise level.Excellent service, the food was so flavorful and unique. Had to try the bacon s'mores and was pleasantly surprised. As always, we enjoyed our dinner very much, as did our friends who we introduced to Beckett's on this trip. Four different entree's at our table, each with it's own profile and done to perfection. Wine and beer options are spot on and as is expected, our service was exceptional. Distance was a factor but I had plans to be in that area and it was restaurant week so I made reservations.I love that they bring you cold water in a bottle so you can refresh your own glass. I was dining alone so opted to sit outside, there are misters and I sat in the shade so was very comfortable. Not everything on the Restaurant Week menu is on Beckett's regular menu so I will just give a shout out to the items that are. Fried deviled eggs were yummy. Add a bit of the peppers to give a little heat. The Green Chile Pork Stew had such great smoky flavor and is very filling. I know that Chocolate Dipped Bacon S'mores sound a little weird but the combo of flavors work. A must from the bar is Miss Katie's Pimms Cup. It might be even a little better than the ones from Napolean's House in New Orleans. Chef Beckett has assembled a 1st class staff who are very knowledgeable and attentive. Great, lively vibe with excellent service and very good food. Appetizers were good , and while the green chile stew was good, it missed the mark just a little for me personally. Those of us growing up on New Mexico chile have a different expectation when chile hits the palate... not just from a heat perspective, but the flavor is unique as well. But it was good none the less. The pasta dish was unique and very flavorful. Desserts were the weakest link, in my opinion. They either tried too hard to be creative, or didn't try hard enough. The "S'more's" effort required a bit too much imagination, and the pineapple upside down cake had zero imagination. We arrived for our reservation, and the host gave us the choice of inside or on the patio, warning us that they had a graduation party of 27 coming in, and it might get pretty loud inside...we opted for the patio, and it was good advice! Our server was excellent and well-versed on the menu. Our party of four ordered 4 appetizers and 3 entrees, along with 2 desserts and shared everything, since everything sounded so good...and every bite WAS delicious! We can't wait to go back! We are talking about contemporary comfort food with a twist and with enough sophistication to make it an indulgent gourmet meal: Classics refined to perfection. Very delicious and we would visit again. The restaurant looks great too. There is attention to detail and presentation, and service is excellent. We came with our 21 month old and she accidently knocked over her bowl of edamame (which she loves) which broke, she was so sad for losing the edamame and even for breaking the bowl. No worries. Staff replaced the bowl and brought more peeled edamame and baby was super happy and pleased again.
We were well taken care of and had a delicious meal. Any small group would be comfortable here as well as a couple. Our server was excellent (friendly and knowledgeable). The tables at the back of the room have the piped in music a little loud for us, but the rest of the room is great. The menu is fabulous, the chef talented. I don't say this easily. We are a family of foodies and enjoy cooking ourselves so we can be picky. We all loved our choices. I had the pork green chile stew. Too smoky for my taste, almost like a campfire. I took it home and "doctored" it up with a fried egg- if they don't offer it with an egg, they should! My husband had the pork osso bucco, it was amazing! The spaetzle was a little dry, the whole dish would have been better with a bit more gravy, but the flavor was superb and the pork cooked to perfection. The s'mores dessert is totally craveable! Overall, a very nice experience. The food at this restaurant was excellent. However, my husband is attempting to eat healthy and ordered a salad for dinner. When it arrived, it was laughable with regard to the portion size. For the amount charged, much more should have been delivered. Our server was attentive and well-informed about all of the menu items. She took care of the special requests eagerly and cheerfully, without making a big deal of it. My only small complaint comes from the chilly temperature inside the restaurant when it was in the 90s outside. When people are dressed for hot weather, and the inside temperature is 70, it feels a little chilly. We requested to be seated outside because of the chill, and had to contend with sun in our eyes until it went down. The restaurant is energetic and has a great atmosphere! I loved that the chef is present and visiting the guests. Our server was very professional while still being relaxed. The entree menu is somewhat limited but there is still something for everyone and delicious. This has become our go-to place when we're tired of trying to find another special occasion spot. Some spots have come close and some have bordered on pathetic. When the check comes for $100 or more for 2 people and you're disappointed, you almost want to give up trying a new restaurant. Overall, we were very happy with the dishes including 2 appetizers, 2 pork chop dishes, a salmon dish, and a chicken dumplin bowl. The food was prepared almost perfect and the ingrediants used were creative and fresh. Our server was a young lady who was very knowdgeable and had pleasantly handled all of the questions to help with our order. A slight disatisfaction was caused by the air conditioned cold air blowing too much to our direction. It somewhat distracted us from a total enjoyment of our conversation and the food.
