  • "The pasta special was delicious...the dessert sampler was perfect. The older gentlemen next to us were friendly and funny. It was a wonderful evening!"

  • "But, not a spot for locals. There were parts of the restaurant which seemed more intimate, but we were seated in this awful upstairs portion of the restaurant, which was noisy and next to several large tables with children. It just ruined the experience for my husband and I who dine out rarely, and wanted to try something out of our neighborhood (he had lunch once at Becco and raved about the experience). The food was good--but not noteworthy or amazing. We ordered from the specials and from the regular menu, so I think we gave the food a fair try. My tuna was cooked just as I ordered it, but was too salty. The Panzanalla salad was a more successful, having just enough acidity (but probably not enough day-old bread)."

  • "We love dining at Becco! The atmosphere is very lively and we have always enjoyed the food. They also have $25 bottles of wine! The location in the Theatre District makes it convenient too. Make reservations ASAP because it's always crowded!"

  • "This was recommended by a relative. My family of 4 loved the ambiance, quality of food and the price."

  • "This place was very nice. The service was really outstanding. The food was very good as well. They seem to be known for their 3 pasta entree each day. The pasta's were fresh and good but not outstanding like the service. The place was a bit expensive compared to others in the area."

  • "The pasta special is a great deal but be ready to eat in order to get your money's worth!"

  • "another great meal was enjoyed at Becco on Sunday. My friends and I enjoyed all we ate and the fact that we were in no way rushed during our meal. We were asked what time our show started and the meal was planned accordingly. We will be back again."

  • "I hesitate to tell every one of my secret find. This is my go to restaurant for a fabulous meal with great service. The pasta is fresh and always delicious. Go with an appetite because this is not your ordinary NYC restaurant."

  • " Arrived 1/2 hr early seated close to front dr. It felt very warm like the ac was barely on. The only relief we got was when the front door opened. The room was crowded n noisey. There was not alot of room luckily the waiters were on the small size. We had the 3 pasta appetizer: the seafood risotto was good, pesto pasta dry ,kind of tasteless, the 3rd pasta with tomato sauce was also bland. The stuffed fried zucchini flower was delicious. Osso boco n pulled pork which was good. We live in Huntington where there a multitude of really good restaurants. Its tough becz my husbands Italian and grew up eating great food n we're foodies. Luv watching Lydia on tv but probably visit a different restaurant the next time we visit the city."

  • "I absolutely love Becco! I have never been disappointed! My favorite is the daily pasta dish that offers the Chef's three pastas of the day, and it is all you can eat for only $22.95! The wine is amazing and for only $25 a bottle in NYC is a serious steal! If you love food, wine and being treated like royalty, you must get to Becco! Make sure you reserve early!!!"

  • "A great place for groups and very nicely family oriented. I am a life long New Yorker and have never had someone at another table ask for dinner recommendations. We shared our dessert and our families had a great visit. I love this place!"

  • "Then the server cam back and said he was turning us over to another server. 10 minutes later the server came over and took our order. I ordered the 3 pasta all you can eat special and the others in our party of 4 total each ordered something different. An hour later the food came out. The 3 pasta dish I had the spaghetti was hard and this was homemade pasta. Which I have had before at Becco's. this rest of the party food was good but not up to the normal Becco standard. As I said my dish was all you can eat. The servers never came back to ask me if I wanted more or to even refill the water glasses. so its sad to say but Becco is off my list of NYC pleases to go to eat."

  • "Ate lunch here before Saturday Matinee and will definitely be back. The 3 different pasta special is an unbelievable value and the quality of food is top notch. My partner had chicken with roasted garlic and risotto, simple dish that had us drooling. Everything from the bread to the coffee was just perfect and the staff could not be nicer. Don't think twice, just make a reservation and don't look back."

  • "We enjoyed a delicious meal at Becco! We especially loved the complimentary bread basket with their homemade white bean dip with Parmesan and olive oil and their Special which was an unlimited serving of 3 of the chef's pasta dishes. I would recommend this restaurant."

  • "We took 2 of our granddaughters to see a show and for dinner celebrate their b'day. We had 6 o'clock reservations and got there about 5:45. The place was packed but our table was waiting for us. The 3 Pasta special hit the spot and the poached peach slices for desert was exceptional. We've been to Becco several times and will be returning. The people that run this place know how to do it right."

  • "We celebrated our anniversary at Becco. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We were seated immediately. My Open Table reservation included a remark for a quiet, romantic seating location. We were 100% satisfied with being seated in their "greenhouse" room upstairs where there were only 3 tables and a view of the neighborhood below. The water boy appeared immediately, as did our excellent, knowledgable waiter. The waitstaff service was excellent, the food served hot, and our champagne glasses never went below 1/3 full before being refilled, without asking. The meal pace was excellent, with no pressure whatsoever to get moving. Our meal, from start to finish took exactly 2 hours, including the surprise anniversary desert."

  • "This was not a great night at Becco. They knew we had a show to attend and the food was very slow to arrive. Pasta special was ok but nothing really light was offered. Salad had no taste. Would not rush back. I think they are getting by on their reputation. Quality not real good."

  • "The food was nothing spectacular, but it was cheap and fun and we were impressed with the friendly service. The portions are huge, so sharing is the best way to go. The pasta deal will take you over the top, stick with the real menu or do one or the other."

  • "Becco provided an awesome dining experience for our family. Despite showing up almost 30 minutes late (due to terrible traffic in the Lincoln Tunnel), we were seated almost immediately! From that point on, the server was accommodating and attentive. He recommended a kid's plate for my children (not on the regular menu) and adapted one of the pastas to accommodate my no-beef dietary restriction. The entire while he was cognizant of our 7:30 pm showtime. I would highly recommend Becco and would certainly return if in town for another show!"

  • "Excellent lunch find. The unlimited pasta lunch is really the best way to go to sample some of the best pastas ever. Cooked perfectly al dente, complemented by an array of sauces to showcase their menu.... Definitely don't eat breakfast prior as this will set you up for the entire day."

  • "Great food and service. It's hopping busy but they get you in and out w/o rushing. We had the salmon and the swordfish. Excellent! Very good prompt and attentive server."

  • "There were alot of pre-theatre diners, my party being one of them. However, we were seated nearly a half hour late, and as a result, was rushed through the dining experience. When you go to a place for an unlimited pasta, it was a bit straining. However, it was a great deal and the waitress was nice. I'd suggest a different strategy for scheduling, however, since we were not the only party to run into this dilemma."

  • "We took my mom here for lunch on July 23 pre theater. We were seated quickly with reservations and then had the most delicious bread/foccacia/bean dip/olives we have ever had. Our lovely waiter filled our bread basket twice then gave us some to take home! You cannot imagine how happy this made my mother! My mom is a huge fan of Lydia and watches her all the time and cooks like her. My mom was so impressed with the food and service- we all were. The lunch special with the chef pastas is the way to go-we had other things from the menu as well but the anti pasta was a heavenly mix of different veggies and fish and the pasta was plentiful and cooked well. The cannoli was the best we have ever had for dessert-whole pistachios and cream!"

  • "This was a great meal for all of us, and it was served with no rush, but we were able to enjoy our meal, make our show and the meal took about 90 minutes. Servers are young and kind and very knowledgeable."

  • "The service at Becco's was fantastic. The food ranged from inspired to mediocre. The all-you-can eat pasta was missing flavor. However, the short rib special was dynamite! I really enjoyed my veal piccata and the antipasta misto was tremendously delicious. On the other hand, the restaurant was crammed with too many tables, difficult to move around, and so loud you could barely hear the person next you speaking. Add in the squealing children and thinking became a problem. So over all, the noise level cancelled out the quality of the food. For midtown Manhattan, the meals were inexpensive, but it was obvious that to make ends meet, more tables needed to be turned over. A difficult balance for a restaurant to achieve."

  • "Becco is a lovely, professional, well-run, and well-staffed restaurant. The wine was great; the food was fantastic (there were plenty of vegetarian and fish options) and the atmosphere was quiet and private. Certainly, I will be recommending Becco to anyone who visits NYC."

  • "I loved the $25.00 bottles of wine. What a great idea. The Ceasar salad was good, but the bread was really hard and I expected oil and vinegar to dip the bread. The Osso Bucco was outstanding!!"

  • "Took my 11 year old son there after show & we both loved it. Not super fancy but service was great & food very yummy! Actually liked my son's lemon chicken even better than my pasta special. Definitely recommend for an before theater or after theater dinner"

  • "We have been to Becco several times when visiting our daughter in NYC. Always a good meal, always great wait staff. Prices for lunch are reasonable and the $25 bottles of wine are an added bonus. The Chef's three pasta special is hard to resist! We love sitting in the back room under the skylight. Within walking distance of Penn Station up 9th Ave. or a short hop on the subway. Reservations suggested."

  • "This was our first time at Becco and we really enjoyed it. I am a big fan of Lidia and decided to try chef's Gallagher's three daily pasta, along with the ceasar salad and antipasto. We were not disappointed, everything was delicious. My daughter tried the lemon chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. The service was excellent! Good overall ambiance! Would definitely return!"
