BeccoGreat foodThe fiood was fantastic!!! Loved the wine fixed price as well6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMCiaoCiaoFood is always fresh and delicious. Have been there several times and would recommend to anyone.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLunch For Mom's BirthdayWe were in New York to celebrate my Mom's 74th Birthday. Booked for a Saturday lunch so we could continue sight seeing in the afternoon. When we arrived we were promptly brought to our table that was in an enclosed area in the back, but had two skylights that brought in the natural light. The wait staff was prompt and explained the specials and any other questions we had. Most in our group had the Sinfonia di Paste which included either a cesar salad or antipasta and all you fresh pasta (three choices) you can eat. The wait staff come around and serve the fresh pasts from a pan directly on your plate. The food was excellent. My mother received gelato for a desert with a candle as the wait staff sang Happy Birthday...great singers.! .6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place to eat !Order the steak or specialty pasta but bypass the all you can eat pasta dinner it's not great. Steak was incredible drinks fabulous dessert is a must have !!!! Fresh strawberries and raspberries with a sweet cream mix . To die for !6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMBecco is still a great dealI know, you're in New York, prices are outrageous, you're tired of paying $11 for a mediocre glass of wine, plus tax and tip so it's now $14!!! FEAR NOT. Becco is one of the best deals in midtown. The food is excellent, too, especially if you're out starving friends.
I'll lead with $25 bottles of wine - Becco still offers 20 perfectly decent bottles of wine last page of the menu, not the separate wine list.
Here's the deal. Every night, they have three freshly made pastas served at the table. You can get these on an "all you can eat" basis, but if you also have a main course, the pasta is $9 more than the Entree price. $35 & you can feast with a salad, unlimited pasta and an entree and not break the bank. The Osso Bucco, rocks!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMimpeccableWe've returned to this restaurant time and again to show out-of-town guests one of the best meals they can get in NYC.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat, but noisy!Loved the food at Becco. But the noise level was painfully high. We could not hear the waiter at all. Gave up on hearing the specials. Though we requested a quiet table, we were seated by a large party of 12+ people screaming from one end of their long table to the other. Terribly uncomfortable and caused us to struggle to have any conversation with friends who we hadn't seen in a long time.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBefore a showThis restaurant was great! We had a seating at 5:30, before our show at 8pm. 3 of us ordered their 3 pasta special and my mom ordered off the menu and got the seafood plate. It was all fantastic! The wine selection is wonderful and their desserts were as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. My party consisted of a 12 year old girl, 2 75 year olds, and my 40ish self. It is very convenient to the Broadway district, which made it a great choice before the show.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWell-prepared PastaThe Simfonia di pasti (sp.?) was an excellent lunch and the pasta was especially well prepared: good sauces and the pasta was cooked just right, not overdone. Portions were generous and seconds were offered. We will return.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBetter than the first time.Enjoyed the first time. Loved the second time. Went for lunch; pre-theater. They have it down to a sciene. Had four different entrees; tuna, salmon, calves liver, and eggplant parm. All delicious. $25 wines are ok. Skip appetizers; they are not needed for portions are plentiful and they are not impressive. Leave room for cheesecake. while prices are reasonable, watch out for drinks and add ons; that's where they hit you. will most definitely visit again.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experienceThe fresh ingredients With wonderful flavors.
Great wines by the bottle for $25.
This was my second visit with guests from upstate & California.
It is the place to make New Yorkers proud.
From the fresh pastas to perfectly done tuna. Not one miss. The only problem at Becccos is deciding what to get.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMTheater districtBecco is on the heart of the theater district, Location is great. Good food and service. My only complaint was the tables were jam packed even in the quieter back room. It was a Verh high noise level and difficult to hear everyone at our table. If not for the noise level, the experience would have been wonderful!! We will return!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent dinnerRecommended by a friend and it was well worth it. The atmosphere was great and I simply cannot say enough about the food, it was outstanding6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBecco - Great Before a ShowCrowded restaurant very close to theaters in NY. Very good wine list and extensive menu. The Sinfonia de Paste choice was excellent and the refills were prompt. Highly recommend. Tables are all VERY CLOSE together so be prepared to know everything about people sitting around you.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMI rate Becco highly. I haveI rate Becco highly. I have been there several times. It is conveniently located to the theatre district. The ambience is lively, the food is excellent and the service is friendly and efficient. The Caesar salad, served with all entrees, was delicious. The Ossobuco and the Arista di Maile were well-prepared and very enjoyable. I would recommend Becco as a perfect dinner restaurant either before or after the theatre.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMViva italiano!Food is absolutely fantastic. We sat in the back room past the bar. It was lovely and the staff was highly attentive and super helpful. Strongly recommend for New Yorkers and those visiting NYC. MAKE YOUR RESERVATION AT LEAST A MONTH BEFORE THE DATE DURING THE SUMMER.
IT WILL BE A DINNER YOU WILL NEVER FORGET!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was delicious.Everything was delicious. Except when I stared eating my veal, I noticed sea food taste and smell. I asked the waiter if there was sea food in the recipe and he said no. I thought it may be me. I ate it, noticing the taste throughout. Actually should have returned it.I figured it out afterwards. The chef must have used the pan previously to prepare a sea food dish and the oil carried over to my meat.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAll around winnerReally excellent food preparation and design. Prompt, knowledgeable and attentive service that wasn't at all annoying. Generous portions; surprisingly reasonable prices.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was excellent, beautifullyThe food was excellent, beautifully presented and the waitstaff very attentive, it is in a great location too! Make reservations for this memorable dining experience.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFamily FriendlyBecco made our 10 year wedding anniversary dinner very special! We are from North Carolina, and planned this trip with our 8-year-old twin daughters. I wanted a nice dinner (but not too formal) for our actual anniversary celebration. Becco was perfect. Great table in the back looking up through the skylight. Great service. I had the peppercorn tuna over polenta with radishes and a balsamic vinegar reduction, my husband had three pastas - ravioli, penne and fettuccine, and my girls had giant meatballs - one plate of 3 that they split - with a side of yummy fettuccine. Flavorful red sauce. Then we ordered 1 dessert to split. They brought an additional dessert and two dessert wines as a surprise for our celebration. I love Becco!6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was excellent.Everything was excellent. Our only disappointment: There ought to be a full choice of pasta dishes, not just the sinfonia di paste. Otherwise, we loved it. The prices were moderate, the food well prepared, and our waiter very patient with our questions.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother wonderful time at BeccoThis was the first time I ordered off the menu. My organic chicken was delicious. I usually get the 3 pasta meal and one of my party did just that. She was very happy with her meal. Service was excellent. The server took the time to find out if we had theatre tickets and the time the show began so he could pace our meal. This was another wonderful experience for me at Becco.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWish you were in Philadelphia! There's a great vibrant restaurant scene in Philly. But if Becco was there, it would be greater.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing Every TimeThis place is amazing every time. Food is always different and delicious. The three pasta special is the way to go because you can get it every time and still have a consistently different and fantastic meal.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMlovely lunch but menu was limitedI didn't realize that Sunday was a three pasta lunch, but it was delicious. Not only that,my guest was a vegetarian, and they made her a special vegetarian pasta because one of the pastas had meat. I thought that was very special and I appreciated it.
I would return in a New York minute.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMJust Great!Had a wonderful lunch We had the 3 pasta lunch special and enjoyed all three. They were served hot and were extremely tasty. Would definitely go again and recommend to anyone.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMIt had been a while sinceIt had been a while since we last visited Becco but we wont wait as long for our next visit. Food and service were both exceptional.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMsplendid dinning experienceTruly a must go to, if you are in the Times Square area. Tremendous menu, with food that you can actually identify the tastes with. No strong sauces that overpower the flavor of the meal. Our table ordered the stuffed peppers, chicken dish, sea bass, and grilled salmon. For an app. we had the prosciutto with roasted peppers and fresh mozzarella cheese...amazing. Apple strudel and chocolate mousse for dessert.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMTourist Mecca Shines!Becco is an incredibly popular restaurant, not for those who want a quiet, leisurely lunch or dinner. However, the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable (except for the meager portion of gelati for $8.00), and the wait staff is efficient and friendly. The all-you-can-eat-three-kinds-of-pasta menu is hard to resist. And bottles of wine are amazingly well-priced for a venue in mid-Manhattan.
It's bustling, noisy, with rather small table for two but, in its way, its fun and you do feel you are in the center of the dining action. We will return and, perhaps, someday Lidia will be there to beckon us to her table!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMTheater district standoutWonderful food, outstanding wine list including a whole page of very drinkable $25 selections. Very accommodating to pre-theater crowd or as in our case, were happy to let us linger over our our post theater meal. While famous for their "three pasta" meal, other choices are delicious as well.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMDependable and yet surprisingLunch for $18.95 in mid-town Manhattan is a surprise. The three pasta dishes are filing, delicious and varied. The bread basket contains crispy bread sticks, foccacio and dark bread. The choices of wines are Italian and there is a wide selection of bottles for $25. I had the tuna special, rare and it was the best.
The tables are closer than they need to be, but the restaurant fills up since it is so near the theaters. Part of the restaurant was closed off due to a private party, but there are tables outside as well.
Enjoy!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMCozy clean & delishLove this restaurant! This is my third visit. The service is good & the staff is friendly making it a relaxing atmosphere. There is a variety of food & wine choices to please everyone. My favorite wine was not available however a comparable wine was suggested & I was very pleased with it. The lunch menu is affordable while the dinner menu is a bit pricey however it is definitely worth it. In addition many specials are provided although you could always go with the Three Pasta Dish that Beccos is known for. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Make reservations as it is a hot spot!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst Time At BeccoMy girlfriend and I went to dinner last Saturday and we couldn't have been happier with the service and our meal.. We have highly recommended your restaurant to many of our friends.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBravo for Becco!Early pre-theatre dining worked great. 3 pasta dinner with $25 bottle of wine a standout for New York. Bravo!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous FoodWe have been to Becco on five occasions. Each time we had fabulous food. It is amazing how 2 different pastas can take on unique and indiependent character. Consistetly excellent food forces us to return.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMItalian fine diningExcellent service and delicious food! Very crowded and noisy! Tables packed in pretty tight. Waitstaff very friendly6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWhere else can you get anWhere else can you get an excellent bottle of wine for $25.00? If the short rib wasn't soooo good I might try something else, but
I cannot resist it. Wonderful deserts. We never visit New York City without coming back to Becco.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, atmosphere andGreat food, atmosphere and service. Perfect spot for dinner after a show!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful MealI took my fiance here for dinner after a Broadway show and we had a terrific experience. Our 2-top table was a little cramped and the noise level made it hard to hear for the first 20 minutes until things settled down but other than that everything was perfect. The menu offers outstanding Italian food well beyond traditional offerings. The separate wine list where the listed bottles were all $25 is a fabulous idea and one that more restaurants should include. It definitely takes the pressure off getting the right wine by taking price out of the equation. Our server was very knowledgable and friendly and our food came out on time and was perfectly prepared. I would definitely come to Becco again and would absolutely recommend it to others.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place to dine with friendsMy wife and I have been there several times and they get right each time ... even on a busy Wednesday Broadway Show night they know where to seat you, how to get served on time, and have a great start to your evening.
This dinning experience was on the balcony on a great beginning of the summer evening. Thanks6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBecco's is Always greatLively atmosphere - usually a pre-theatre crowd. Do make reservations, it's very popular, and for good reason.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat PlaceThis restaurant was recommended by a friend and we had no idea how good it was going to be. We had the pasta lunch special and it was high quality and bountiful. We will tell our friends and go back when we visit the big apple again!!!! Thank you.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect eveningWe dined at Becca before the show and had an amazing outdoor table. The wait staff was professional but very warm. The food was great and we loved the 25 dollar wine list.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restaurant . We wereGreat restaurant . We were going to theater. Food great. Great service.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful MealWe had a wonderful meal that was delicious, and very fairly priced for New York. The Bread was very good and the staff was very professional.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat wine listBest place in NY for a decent bottle of wine for a great price6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMCarb overload but well worth itSpinach ghocchi, fettucine with bolognese sauce, and ziti with fresh tomato basil sauce. Those were the three pastas being served for $22.95, all you can eat, by servers carrying huge pans through the restaurant. And you get to pick either an antipasto (veggies and seafood) or caesar salad to start! The good thing is that the pastas are so rich and delicious, its hard to get through more than 2 servings, and even then your struggling to eat every last drop of Italian goodness! This really is one of the best deals in NYC. Not to mention the $25 a bottle wine list. #245 (medium bodied Sangiovesse) is my favorite! They accept reservations up to two months in advance, so they are doing something right if people are booking that far ahead!6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMBecco - faboHave been to this restaurant about 12 times now, and it just keeps getting better.
The only negative is the closeness of some of the smaller tables for 2. However if that bothers you they have other options.
The food is great! The daily Trio Pasta special is not to be beat anywhere. One of the choices on a vist this week was Gnochhi filled with some green veggie I had never heard of that was melt in your mouth delicious!
The $25 wine list is a tremendous value with some really good choices.
I receomend this place to everyone.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeLoved the ambience, Loved the antipasto which was best I've ever had. The pasta's were fabulous. I would recommend in a New York minute.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMBeen to Becco countless timesBeen to Becco countless times and have never been Disappointed
Excellent food and service always6/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
