  • "Great Italian food at very fair prices, good service in a typically busy fashion. Overall much like a night in Italy. The wine list has a whole portion devoted to $25/bottle wines and many would be twice as much in other NYC restuarants. A welcome surprise. I will definitely return, hopefully many times."

  • "Excellent, prompt service….Delicious fresh meals…We'll definitely return next time we go to the theatre."

  • "My friend and I go to NYC twice a year, and we always eat at Becco one night before the theatre. The pace and friendliness of the service is excellent. While most people get the pasta, which is delicious, we always look forward to our two favorite dishes - stuffed peppers and osso bucco. Stuffed peppers, of all things, you say?! Yes, my friend says they are to die for. I love osso bucco and have had it many places in my travels, but the osso bucco at Becco is THE BEST EVER! Ask for a seat upstairs on the porch in front overlooking the street. It's not quite as noisy and a little more private."

  • "We had a group of 4, overall disappointing, salmon was good, steak not a good choice (we should've sent back) did not look appetizing and dry. We should've chosen the pasta special. Safe choice. Our wine didn't arrive until after our salad course. (Had to remind wait staff we had ordered wine). Wait staff's knowledge of beer selection limited."

  • "My husband and I had a great time at Becco. We had the antipasto, the intermediate pasta trio, lemon chicken and veal osso buco. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to return soon!"

  • "Visited Becco again recently and as we remembered, the food was really good. We got the pasta tasting menu. You get 3 pastas of yhe day and an appetizer or salad. It's only $22.95 so you can't beat it. Loved it. Good service too. Oh, and they have a nice selection of $25 bottles of wine too."

  • "It is much too crowded waiting for your table.....you wait in the bar...people trying to leave can't get out....I think the pasta assortment is awful... I certainly wouldn't go again.. Can't figure out why they are so busy and other restaurants nearby are empty?"

  • "Dependable and delicious. After 15 years, Becco has never disappointed."

  • "Our dinner was great overall food was good. I saw a review about the fried mozz app that we ordered. Didn't expect it to be cold in the center. They made another that was warm enough but not what I felt it should have been. The dinner was good. Ossobucco. The wine list @ $25 per bottle was great. We also had other drinks which were well made. No room for much else so we had some biscotti. Would go back to try the pasta. A nice spot."

  • "Started w a burned lasagna that we sent back to the kitchen to be exchanged for the pasta trio. The pappardelle was good, but the other two lacked any flavor. We complained, and they took it off our bill. Then they gave us a dessert sampler on the house. So although the food wasn't special, they did try to make up for it with their service. They handled it appropriately. Still, I wouldn't rush back there. Carmine's is much more consistent for Italian and seafood."

  • "The first thing we noticed when we arrived at Becco's is that is packed!! We arrived at 5:30 and every table was full. We were taken to our table immediately, but asked to move as we were too close to the stairs and I felt like we were crammed into our space. They happily moved us. Despite the large crowd, the service was fast and friendly. Our waiter patiently explained the menu and we did not feel rushed to order. We ordered the 3-pasta special for our kids, the pulled pork with strawberry rubarb for me and the veal piccata special for my husband. All the food was excellent - but the veal piccata was definitely the star - I wished I had ordered that instead of the pork (despite how delicious it was)."

  • "Consistently delicious italian dishes - osso buco and zuppa di pesce were both fantastic! Hearty portions with reasonably priced wines. Knowledgeable waitstaff; professional and efficient service. Ideal pre-theater location."

  • "We have been to Becco three times in the last month-the food, staff and ambience are wonderful!! I can't say enough good things about it-it's a wonderful dining experience with a delightful staff. Thanks again!"

  • "Good food and service but getting to be a tourist trap now - they rush you in and out!"

  • "Everyone I've ever taken here, family, friends, etc., has declared that this is their "new favorite NYC restaurant." The "all-you-can-eat" pasta menu is an absolute bargain and the rest of the menu is out of this world. Despite the crowds, the service hums along nicely, making sure you get to your theatre seats on time. I can't come back enough. Mille Grazie, Becco!"

  • "This was probably our 4 or 5th visit to Becco's. We also dine at Lidia's in Pittsburgh as our son and family live not too far away. This time at Becco's we were treated to some "star gazing". Tyne Daley sat 3 tables down from us. She seemed very gracious and my guess is she eats there often as the staff did not seem too surprised to see her. the food was delicious as always and service was great."

  • "I really enjoyed my experience at Bocca! The concept of unlimited pasta replenishments is a great idea (bringing it out on a pan is a great idea) and there is a wide range of menu options for everyone to enjoy."

  • "4 of us dined here before seeing a show. Service and food was great. Full page of $25 bottles of wine. A few tables with street view (indoor/window on 2nd floor or 1st floor outdoors)"

  • "We come back to Beccos Everytime we come to NYC and each time it is welcoming and delicious. Although we have never sat inside the restaurant, we feel we get the best table in the house just outside the entrance on their small patio, street side. Delicious food, great service and we love our table!"

  • "Lunch special with antipasto misto and three pastas. Others at the table had Cesare salad. Antipasta was outstanding. Every item on the plate was fresh and not overly seasoned with vinegar, each with distinct character and flavor. The pastas were underwhelming and kind of bland. Cesare salad was nothing special. Will definitely go back just for the antipasto."

  • "We enjoyed our dinner very much. The service overall was very good. Our waiter wanted to be anywhere other than where he was however."

  • "What a score! We decided to eat here at the last minute and lucky for us there was an available table. Staff was fantastic, food was even better. Will dine here again soon."

  • "I had dined there before as they have an excellent reputation and we went back with a party of six. It was truly outstanding and we walked to our Broadway show after having a great dinner."

  • "The Caesar salad pasta were bland. The waiter seemed to forget we we we were there, and spent most of his time talking to people who were apparently his friends."

  • "We love Becco for a pre show dinner. The food and service are consistently good. Only problem is that the entree portions are far too large for the average human. My daughter joked that it could feed a small family."

  • "Veal was bland & tough, while the fish was delicious."

  • "For her birthday, I took my 13 year old granddaughter to a Broadway show and lunch at Becco's. She is a vegetarian and Becco's was happy to accommodate her by modifying the menu. The food, the service and the ambiance all made for a beautiful birthday lunch."

  • "Found our way back for a second visit! and will be back for a third!!! Work with you if you are seeing a show, first thing they ask is what time is your show. They will make you experience worth it."

  • "We went for a Pre-Theater dinner which consists of three pastas and either cesar salad or antipasto. There is an extensive wine list that's price fixed at $25 a bottle so some pressure is diminished. The service staff is very eager to please and the food is excellent. Tables are close together and this cannot be viewed as an intimate, romantic dining spot but everyone is very pleasant. Again, the wine list is extensive and price fixed at $25 a bottle removes a great deal of the pressure from selecting a wine. In summary, we found our dining experience to be very positive and will return again soon."

  • "I simply adore the AYCE pasta special. Caesar salad to start is fresh and crunchy (not gooey) and there's always at least one of the pastas that's a stand-out. Others at the table enjoyed the lemon chicken: tasty, generous portion. Reasonable wine list, thin crisy braed sticks, bean dip and olives - the whole package is great."

  • "We were excited to be here, because the Becco has gotten very good reviews. We even saw Lydia, the well-known chef-proprietor. Becco's bread basket, olives, and delicious dip were an outstanding start. The bottle of Bastianich white wine was great, as were our meals. The unlimited pasta selections...all were very tasty. The chicken parm special was tasty, but the sauce was a bit bland. Swordfish was exceptional. Service was excellent. We did not stay for dessert because the restaurant's air-conditioning was not functioning. It was terribly warm. An employee told us that it was due for replacement "next month". A few floor fans might have helped, but there were none. We are looking forward to returning to Becco when conditions improve."
