A word from Beau's On The River
Beau’s on the River opened at the Sheraton Suites Akron/Cuyahoga Falls in May of 2013. This restaurant on the river offers stunning views of the river rapids and falls with floor to ceiling windows with and innovative contemporary décor.

As a sister property to Beau’s Grille at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn, we offer a casual atmosphere with plenty of the same great food and service that the award winning Beau’s Grille has been treating our loyal customers to for years. Executive Chef Billy Thurman takes a unique twist on some of your old favorites with a fresh look and taste to his style of cooking. His mouthwatering plates taste even more amazing than they look.

  • "We arrived quite early for our reservation. The hostess was more than polite and accommodating to get us seated in a cozy spot as was requested. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes and specials and gave us his preferred selections. The blackened cod was a great selection. The desert menu was not all that exciting especially when compared to the entrees. All in all, great dishes, excellent service and a relaxed environment."

  • "We had a nice dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday on a Thursday night. It was retail wine night, so we ordered a bottle of wine at a good price. My husband had the filet mignon and I had the featured catch of the day. Both were very good -- the presentation of the salmon with quinoa, kale, and grapefruit was interesting and a nice combination. It was quiet -- not a lot of people on a rainy Thursday night. We hadn't been there since Beau's took over this restaurant. We were not disappointed and will be back."

  • "We have been to Beau's on the west side many times. Invited friends out to dinner and decided to give Beau' on the River a try. All four of us were very happy with our meals. I had the filet mignon and it melted in my mouth. My husband had the salmon with lobster risotto. He thought it was great. One guest was a vegetarian. They ordered the black pepper ravioli and couldn't say enough wonderful things about it. Our other friend ordered steak and almost lost his mind it was so good. I think at one point he was considering licking his plate to get the last morsels. Other than our server being a little slow with refills on drinks and bread, everything was great. The river is still beautiful even without the dam and the waterfall."

  • "Was seated right away. We started with Medium Hot Banana Peppers & Beau’s Calamari Napolitana appetizers, the peppers were excellent and the calamari was just ok. I think had they not had the sauce over them they would have been much better..we like our calamari crispy. Dinner was the Fettuccini Del Mar, Panko Crusted Chicken Parmesan and the Panko Crusted Lake Perch. The Perch & Chicken were good but the Fettuccini Del Mar was cooked perfectly, definetly recommend it. Our server was very good as well as answered all our questions and gave suggestions. Overall experience was very good. We will go back again."

  • "An informal business group of five of us went the Beau's at 6:30 on a quiet Monday evening. The place was almost empty, but the food was good and the river views, as always, were excellent. Service was very good (by a young lady named Melany, I think). It's not cheap, especially if you mix in a few starters and a moderate bottle of wine, but it was a good evening, enjoyed by all."

We relaxed and enjoyed a drink before ordering and we didn't feel rushed at all. After dinner we stepped into the lounge area to listen to the band playing fo a bit before heading home.   • "Great view of the river, subdued lighting and generally low level of noise. Easy to enjoy conversation over dinner without getting loud. Filets were well prepared and the food tasty overall. Mashed potatoes were unexciting and a little institutional in texture. Salads were very good. Key lime pie was good but a tad sweet, and over the top on the whipped cream. The prices are a little high, more in line with likes of Flemings and Hyde Park, but without the nuances and special unique flavors to the sides/accompaniments. Service was very good and not rushed."

  • "Tuesday night I enjoyed a fine dinner with some out of town guests. From the appetizers to dessert the food was excellent. We started with an order of the Beef Carpaccio and the Thai Spring Rolls. Both were excellent. Two of us had the house side salad with white French dressing. The salads were some of the best side salads we've had recently. One had the Lake Perch dinner. He really enjoyed the fish but thought the breading was a on the heavy side. Two had the fish special of the day, Trout with Jasmine rice. and I had the Short Rib Special of the day. Both specials were wonderful. We finished the meal sharing the Bread Pudding. I would recomend Beau's on the River for a fine meal."

  • "The view was beautiful. The waiter and all personnel were very friendly and helpful. The pork chops were the best I ever had. We were celebrating my granddaughter being on the deans list again!!!!! She enjoyed it so much. I was told if I told the manager I was using my Chase Sapphire I would get 2000 points. Manager was not there. I did tell waiter but he didn't understand what I was referring to. Could you check this out for me? I will go there every chance I get!!!!!"

  • "Beau on the River is must visit restaurant! My boyfriend and I frequent this restaurant as much as we can not only because of the food, but also the atmosphere. This hidden gem is tucked away in the Cuyahoga Falls area and upon entering the restaurant the view is amazing. The rushing waters and greenery with the ambience of the restaurant provides a very relaxing and tranquil dining experience. We normally dine for Sunday brunch, and the service is great. The waiters are very attentive and accommodative. Additionally, the food is well prepared and their is a great variety for the breakfast portion and lunch. I do have to say that is fine dining comes with a nice price tag (roughly $20/person), but I honestly agree that it is worth it."

  • "Presentation of food done by amateurs as this was a brunch buffet. This is one of the few restaurants on the planet that can't make something as simple as an omelette. They use both a pan and a flat grill and it comes out way below average. It's confusing to them. I've been eating there for years. They still haven't figured it out."

  • "The good: Food was excellent. We started with the Lobster Bisque which as a great choice. My partner had the Amish Chicken and raved about it...very tender and delicious. I had the Braised Short Ribs and was amazed the amount of meat on the bones. The bad: They had no record of our reservation and we were seated next to the servers station and completely out of view of the rest of the room or the spectacular view outside. Special requests were ignored. The Ugly: I got an email from Open Table chiding me for being a no show. Got things squared with the Table, but bad experience and completely unnecessary. Beau's has a lot going for them in a good chef , servers, ambiance etc., but if then can't get their ducks in a row, all is futile."

  • "I was pleasantly surprised at the low prices at such an elegant place. The sesame tuna needed some kind of flavorful sauce or spice, could perhaps be served with sushi style garnishes. The berry salad was a little too sweet, but quite good. The lobster bisque was the best I've ever had. Our waitress was friendly without bothering us and provided perfect service."

Because management was awesome and attentive--we didn't complain, just let them know--and the server was extremely apologetic. Plus, we love the view of the Cuyahoga and the food is better than most buffets. They've won us over."

  • "Menu is always interesting. Had Wild Boar Chops. Where do you find that on a menu? It was excellent. View is along the Cuyahoga River with many rapids. This time of year, ice has unique forms on the banks and cliffs. As always, food and service was excellent. Valet service was also excellent. Snow was removed, windows were scraped, and heater running on full when car was delivered, all for free"

  • "Under new ownership since May of 2013 this place is once again worth a visit or three! We were there for lunch but even at night the river appears to be well lit so the view may still be great. The menu contained a lot of standards but also had inventive items such as an "ALT sandwich" which was salmon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and sprouts--it was really quite good. The soup of the day was potato but it wasn't your mom's potato soup--really rather special with a variety of ingredients. Service was adequate with an eager but relatively inexperienced wait staff--failed to refill water and failed to offer dessert (which was fine). Go for the view, stay for the food."

So, learning of the relatively new Beau's on the river, and having dined at the previous Sheraton restaurant there, we went there to clebrate a birthday. The food was amazing - short ribs and halibut. Very nice wine selection. Our server - Jason - was personable, knowledgeable and attentive. It could not have been a better experience."
