Diner Reviews
  • "Pre-Comedy Store dinner with friends was a great dining experience. Everyone loved their food, the wine was good, service was great, we thought our waiter was studying acting. We had the best seat in the house and were able to hear each other and carry on a conversation. There were 5 of us."

  • "We went here twice last week and were served by Ray each time. He did an absolutely amazing job! This is a great neighbourhood restaurant."

  • "They have changed their menu for dinner. Personally, I liked the original one as it had more choices with pasta dishes and others that were missing on this one. I had the Beaumont Burger which is always good. They give you plenty of food. We go there for Sunday brunch mostly burt was entertaining out of town guest."

  • "Our waiter was excellent and the food was OK but overpriced. $11.50 for a burger that was good, but the "aioli" sauce appeared to just be mayonaise and the fries were just so-so. Had the apple pie: it was about the size of an oreo and cost $4.00!"

  • "Beaumont's is right down the street from where I live, and it is such a great, local spot. Good food, good service, good ambience, live music on the weekends. We take all of our out-of-town visitors here, and it's consistently a hit!"

  • "We were THAT table that night. We were a bit too loud I bet. The service food and staff were attentive and food was spot on. I really like this restaurant and it's comfortable atmosphere."

  • "The chef is superior and the food is over the top. One of my FAVORITE places Great place for impressing food folk!!!"

  • "The food was amazing, the band was great. A little loud so you have to be prepared for that, but we really enjoyed the upbeat atmosphere, it was a perfect location for a Friday night out. I would definitely recommend getting any of the specials because their chef personally hand picks local seafood caught the night before to feature. If not seafood, his picks are always seasonal and delicious. The food at Beaumont's is such great quality and it is such a fun local spot."

  • "We found this on OpenTable as a neighborhood gem and thought we would try it out. It was great! I am a huge brussel sprouts fan so I thought I would find try them and loved, loved. loved them. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this for anyone in the La Jolla area to try and enjoy."

  • "It was a lively atmosphere, with a fundraiser going on in the bar, and an excellent musician performing. I was delighted to find many healthy food options, such as the kale salad and the carrot ginger soup. Others in my group had the grilled chicken or fish with vegetable and quinoa, and loved it. Service was very good, even with a full house."

  • "Started with a delicious cup of coffee. Had their specialty french toast with fresh fruit. All very good. Berry compote/spread was different and tasty. Attentive and friendly service, clean, nice music. Liked it all."

  • "We had a family dinner for a birthday celebration. The steak was excellent. Fish taco's were a bit dry, but the other food was delicious. Desserts were excellent, both the creme brûlée and the salted caramel bread pudding. Would definitely go back."

  • "I love this neighborhood gem with it's warm welcoming ambiance and friendly staff. The bar scene is lively and the bartender, Gavin, is awesome. We took our neighbors here to celebrate Valentine's and we loved the menu choices. The pear arugala salad and roasted beet soup were delicious as were the entrees. We will definitely return to repeat the experience."

  • "The service was lacking and prices too marked up for Valentines day here. I left feeling very disappointed."

  • "We arrived for our reservation 15 mins early and we were sat right away. The place was super busy and a bit loud but that's the energetic vibe. Wasn't sure we would enjoy the band playing in the middle of dinner but it wasn't too loud and the band was good. I like the "clean" menu options. A large amount of food for the price. The bar is fun if you're looking for a happy hour cocktail and small bite. Highly recommend.. The brunch is good too."

  • "This place has a great atmosphere! Hard to find a place that can be both kid-friendly and romantic. But it works. Outstanding service by people that seem to really like their job. Had Coq a vin in white bean cassoulet. Yummy! Pork special was a little fatty for my taste, but side dishes outstanding. Vegetables cooked just right."

  • "This was our second visit and confirmed our previous one. Food was good, but service was poor. Main course must have sat after plating as scallops arrived cold while fish stew was hot. We had to ask for silverware at each course. Asked for bread twice and still did not get bread. Noise level was too high for conversation. This was the last night of Restaurant Week, so perhaps everyone was tired! I doubt we will ever go back."

  • "Although the food was good, the service was very slow and the noise level was too high to enjoy the meal. Also, the band was setting up right next to our booth. Good thing we left before they started playing. Very frenetic atmosphere suited more for the younger generation."

  • "Great menu at an extremely reasonable price for their restaurant week specials. My husband and I had a great time. There was live music and a interesting crowd. I loved the elk meatball and the bread pudding desert."

  • "My boyfriend like coming to Beaumont's for the live music, casual atmosphere, unique drink menu, and the friendly service!! Because we love it so much, we decided to come earlier to try the food, and what better time to try a new restaurant than SD Restaurant Week?! The Restaurant Week menu had a great selection, and everything that we ordered was superb! However, the highlights of the night were the Maker's Mark Creme Brulee and the Salted Pretzel Bread Pudding.....we don't normally order bread pudding, but that bread pudding is one of our top favorites now! I didn't think I could like this place more than I already did, but I was wrong. It is our new favorite spot for dinner, drinks, live music, and quality service!!"

  • "My friends and I have never been disappointed by the food, and there are some real standouts on the menu. We do love brunch in particular. The service is always slow; but you can enjoy your meal, the staff is friendly, the bar well tended. We have never exactly determined if it is under staffed, or the kitchen is pushed for the size of the space. The specials are usually excellent, short rib Wellington was a great Christmas Eve special. Scallops are beautifully prepared but should be market priced as you may get three to five.. and you need five."

  • "With a party of 9 people, all of which had never been to Beaumonts, we were all really impressed and everyone said they would be returning. I had made reservations on Open Table and requested a table close to where the band was playing, so I received a very kind phone call asking if we wouldn't mind splitting the party into 2 tables. It worked out fantastic and we all enjoyed having the men together and the ladies together. There was a wide selection of food that appealed to everyone and it was all very tasty. I have to say our server was amazing, very attentive. When the band began, we switched it up and sat with our spouses or got out there and danced. We all had a great time. Can't wait to go back !"

  • "We have been here many times. We like the music and food. In our recent visit we had Artichoke again and Bison Flatbread. This was our best Artichoke. They have always been good but the recent visit it was the best so far. The Bison flatbread was very tasty, had lots of flavor. The music has always been good."

  • "We were thrilled with a friend's recommendation to eat here. The ambience, the wait staff, and the bar tender/owner made you feel welcome from the minute you stepped up to the hostess desk. Then....the choices for food and drinks capture your taste buds. The menu is not that large but is surprisingly full of interesting options. There is something for everyone's taste buds whether you are there for small plates or a full coarse special dinner. My husband is always in search of the "perfect Manhattan" and he was thrilled with his drink. My friend and I ordered multiple small plates to share and each one was wonderful. We will be going back to experience more of their wonderful food and to participate in some of their varied special events!"

  • "This was the second time we celebrated my birthday at Beaumonts. And it was great again. Brent was exceptional as usual as a waiter. And the Creme Brulee was lovely. The band was tight and really added to the fun. We will be back again."

  • "Hip little place, good vibe, good music. Great for small groups hanging out, or dates where you want to hear some music and don't care if its a bit loud. Food is average, nothing special, but not bad. Really friendly great staff. I'd recommend going, for sure, I had a good time. Just don't expect a knock out dinner."
