I brought my daughter and it was the first time she had visited Beau Monde. She was enchanted and said the crepes were better than the ones we had when we visited Paris two years ago. Selected the French onion soup and the buckwheat crepe filled with andouille sausage, ratatouille and caramelized tomato sauce. The soup and the crepe arrived hot and were very delicious. Beau Monde has a decent wine list and a very inventive menu that satisfied both the carnivores and vegetarians in our group. The noise level was abusive. My friend loved her tomato, spinach, olive and feta one as well. We split a banana, coconut crepe for dessert. Everything was delicious, the restaurant was beautiful, and the service was great. Our waitress helped us pick out the sweet crêpe (there were too many wonderful sounding options on the menu for us to decide). The tables are larger than most in center city and there is more space and room to breathe. I've recommended Beau Monde to basically everyone I've seen since dining there. Crêpes are for so much more than brunch! The service was also consistently good even though the first time it was really busy (around noon on a Sunday) and the second time I went there it was almost empty (it was around 3pm on a weekday). It's a really cute place and sitting outside on a sunny day makes the experience just perfect. They are great at splitting dishes and the portions are just right. She was super helpful with our questions and really "read" the table well- knowing when we were still talking/perusing the menu versus ready to order. I was hosting a number of people from out of town who I had never met before, and the atmosphere was perfect- comfortable, fun, and not too energetic that we were screaming or couldn't hear across the table. We made reservations, arrived exactly at that time, and still had to wait for a table even though there were 4 that were empty. Was asked to wait at the bar but it was full so we had to awkwardly stand over people since they have no good waiting area. There are some original tastes like Beef Bourguignon crepes or Coq au vin crepes. The Beef Bourguignon has the perfect taste, and the smocked salmon is delicious! You can either choose from the savory or sweet crepes that are suggested on the menu, or you can build your own crepe. The food is fresh, and you can tell the sauces are homemade. My favorite dessert crepe that happens to be my own design includes vanilla ice cream with nutella and white chocolate sauce. yum! Found it online listed in a top 10 of romantic dining spots in the city. They were not wrong. It's a beautiful restaurant. The glass of wine (one of 3 sold by the glass on the wine list) I had wasn't outstanding but it was ok. We shared soup, salad and a crepe. All were very good. The flavors were food but a bit rich...but it is French. The servers are always so nice. This time I had a woman named Shawn (sp?) and she couldn't have been sweeter and better.
It's great if weather permits outdoor dining, or inside as it has a fireplace and a very warm, very French, ambiance. You can't go wrong either way.

We took our mother for her birthday and she absolutely loved it. We all had a savory and a sweet crepe. They were all delicious. They have a full bar and a decent wine list.
