  • "As per usual, our experience at BEAUMONDE was superb. I had one of the breakfast crepe specials. I don't eat wheat, so they turned it into an omelette for me. We were a group of eight and all of the others ordered crepes that ranged from a simple chicken-broccoli-cheddar to a complex goat cheese-caramelized leeks-chicken crepe. There was not a speck of food left on any plate. Banana-Nutella-hazelnut ice cream vs. dulce de leche vanilla ice cream crepes were amazing for desert. Truly, you can't go wrong at BEAUMONDE. "

  • "We attended a Cabaret performance at Society Hill Playhouse. We had a wonderful dinner here before, and then returned with friends after the show for dessert crepes and drinks. In both cases the food and service were excellent. This place reminds us of Crepe Suzette in Paris, a place we always visit when in Paris. "

  • "Went on a Saturday afternoon for brunch. Had a reservation (obviously thanks to opentable) but was running a little late, so I called and the hostess was more than understanding. After showing up with an extra friend and her four legged son, she was more than accommodating with an outdoor table and even brought some water to our puppy friend immediately. Our server was helpful, but not too overbearing. The food was delicious (highly recommend the cheese plate) and the ambiance was ideal for a quiet brunch with friends. Would definitely come back for brunch or dinner."

  • "This place is very charming, with nice decor and an inviting atmosphere!! It is spacious, probably large enough to accommodate 60 people. My brother and I went during lunch-time on a Tuesday, so there were only a few people there. It was quiet and relaxing. Our entree and dessert crepes were tres bien (very good)!!! I chose the coq au vin (chicken and veggies in a wine sauce) for my entree dish and warm nutella and bananas with powdered sugar for my dessert crepe. They were excellent!! I can't wait to return for more! I will be trying out something new the next time, as there are so many good choices. Do yourself a favor and go!!!"

  • "I will admit that I have never been to Beau Monde during the spring / summer, probably because their more romantic cozy interior just screams the prefect place to hideaway to during the winter. I love eating here because you get a lot to eat by I never leave feeling so full I can't continue with my evening. They recently removed the "build your own" crepe option from their menu but you can still customize based on the ingredients listed in their suggestions."

  • "This was my first time to Beau Monde. I have read reviews, seen it featured on television, drove past the palce and have wanted to come for so long. I am glad I finally did. I came here with my wife and we both were truly satisfied with our meal. She ordered a savory crepe from the brunch menu and I a sweet crepe. We happily shared and both were fantastic. We will be back here again for sure."

  • "Had dinner with a friend. She had a crepe and I had the soup du jour. It was a wonderful creamy tomato. I also had a salad with goat cheese, prosciutto and pistachios. The food was very good and just the right amount of different. It was a little noisy and the person behind me kept bumping into me or something, but our server was very pleasant and attentive. Though it had the ambiance for romance, there many families. We had a lovely experience. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "The owners of this place have done well. I've been to France many times and this place really does a nice job creating the atmosphere of an authentic creperie. The food is excellent, the servings are large and the staff is friendly and out to please. What more can you ask ! Actually, here is one request..... Please offer a gluten free buckwheat crêpe ! The authentic French recipe (at least one of the traditional recipes) is gluten free..... your food was great but you have a chance to sell to an entirely new audience which will be thrilled to pay for such a treat !. Very nice place - a real treat !"

  • "We recently visited with a large group and the service was very attentive and impressively efficient. The food was fantastic - loved the ratatouille crepes (buckwheat) for dinner, and the dessert crepes (I got the speciality crepes with bananas, toasted coconut, dulce de leche and coconut sorbet, and my husband got bananas, nutella and hazelnut ice cream) were amazing! Festive atmosphere that does feel like you are on location in France! Best yet, we were actually shocked that our bill for a great meal in Philly was as reasonable as it was! Definitely worth a return visit!"

  • "love this gem of a restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner. ultra pleasant atmosphere. perfect for a cappuccino or mimosa with the most well thought out crepes. quality fresh ingredients. the decor of hand painted walls over gold leaf transports you to a cafe in paris. cold evenings are best spent here with a glass of wine and their cheese plate followed by the most amazing soups ive ever tasted. hope Shawn waits on you. an absolute doll of a person."

Although our meals were delicious (crepes) - all the desserts are also crepes so it was a bit redundant. I was a bit disappointed that after notifying them both in the reservation and with a phone call earlier that same day that it was our daughter's birthday desserts came with no recognition of the reason we were there."

I ordered the poached eggs, blue cheese, and bacon crepe (brunch menu). Was really good. My husband had the chicken fricassee with eggs over easy. We could not decide who had the better dish. We split a mixed berry crepe for dessert. The staff here is soooo nice and accommodating - no eye roll when we said we wanted to share. INSTEAD they served us our halves on separate dishes, decorated with powdered sugar and fruit. Really fun in nice weather to eat outside. First brunch - will not be our last"

  • "We spent a wonderful New Years eve dining at the marvelously classy Beau Monde. I had been once before as part of a dining club, of which I am founder, that seeks out new and avante' Garde restaurants. We found this to be one of the best outings we've had as yet and thus, we ventured back to ring in the new year with a bit of dinner. Once again, the food, service and ambiance were all of an extremely high quality, the hostess, waiters and waitresses all quite attentive and I must make particular note of the bartender, a young woman, whos name was Bridget, I believe, who was not only knowledgable as far the various drinks were concerned, but also just delightful, very engaging in her conversations with the guests at the bar and very sweet."

Wine list is mediocre and I had to wait 5 minutes to be seated - with no one even stationed at entrance. Waiters totally ignore me and it was very early in the dinner hour. Will not be returning. Far too dark to see the menu. More lights should be added."

  • "Went in for my second anniversary, where I had only been here once before with friends (sat outside). Our server was delightful, always on top of things. We started dinner with the Salad De Jour which happened to be a ceaser salad with smoked salmon, eggs, homemade garlic croutons and sun dried tomatoes. I am not a big fan of eggs, however with everything combined, it is a total knock out! We both got dinner crepes, I got the Cajon Gumbo, and he got the Beef. Dinner was awesome all around. Now, desert! Desert was by far the best part of the meal. Sipped some coffee while waiting for out dessert crepe to arrive. We got a chocolate, caramel, apples, bananas, and vanilla ice cream. Literally to die for! Only con is it is a little loud inside."

  • "Whenever we make the journey into the city to explore the South Street area, we always plan for dinner at Beau Monde. We love the romantic French atmosphere, and the cozy fireplace on cold Fall and Winter evenings. And the food is amazing. The dinner and soup specials are always interesting - this weekend the lentil and andouille soup was fabulous! For entrees, the selection of ingredients for the crepes is excellent. I usually opt for the coq au vin or beef borguinon, but have fun and build your own. For dessert, a banana and creme anglaise crepe with a cup of coffee is to die for. If you go early, you can probably get a table for 2, but make reservations if you're arriving after 6. Highly recommended!"
