Beatrice & WoodsleyMothers Day Brunch was deliciousMothers Day Brunch was delicious --salmon was excellent as was the carrot-coconut milk soup. We always enjoy the ambiance and this was the first time we sat downstairs, which was a little bit more quiet than upstairs. Loved the prairie dog painting, too. We will go back again.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restaurant! Great foodGreat restaurant! Great food and drinks! Something happened in the kitchen with the entree's and it took over an hour to get them out. But when they came, they tasted great, and they ended up comping all three of our entree's off the check! It was very nice of them, and I was very pleased.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBest BrunchA foodie friend recommend B&W for brunch and I adored it -- food, service, rustic decor. I'll be go back to try lunch and dinner.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a great experience. VeryWhat a great experience. Very cool interior and
Wonderfully creative dishes. The savory bread
Pudding was outstanding as was the bison filet.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMReally fun place!Everything about this place is fun! The decor, the menu, the drinks! The food is good and innovative.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for a romantic occasionThis was our first time at Beatrice & Woodsley and I came off a recommendation that it's a great date/romantic spot. They were exactly right. The ambience is fantastic, it's fun just to be inside. The hostess was extremely welcoming and our waiter was also excellent. Not overbearing and not inattentive, just right. Big on eye contact confirmations which I'm a fan of. Our drinks were very good, and as a former cocktail bartender I know a good drink when I taste it.
I had the paella and it was delicious and filling. My date had the bison steak and this is where my only complaint is - the portion was a bit small for the money paid and it was a bit bland.
Overall though, this place was excellent. I will go back.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional! Not to pricey, the portions are a bit small but it was amazing food and our waitress was wonderful!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat date spotThe ambience is quite different from all the hipster places. The lighting really complimented the interior; and, along with the menu and cocktails it made for quite a classy and romantic evening with my date.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWhimsical and fun decor andWhimsical and fun decor and amazing food with a seasonal menu! Great cocktails!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome place!Always delicious and inviting. Wait staff is awesome, too. I must say that the only reason we rate the food less than five stars is because we so much appreciate the gluten-free menu and they could only recommend one item on the brunch menu. Ok, and the dish was delicious, but not ideal. Otherwise, the drinks, food, atmosphere and service were all amazing. Been before and will be back. Plenty of times.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was tasty and theThe food was tasty and the crab beignets were 'bravo' as usual. The cheese selections were not worth the price.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI went to Beatrice and WoodsleyI went to Beatrice and Woodsley for a one-year anniversary, and couldn't have had a better experience. The atmosphere is probably the best I've ever seem in a restaurant. It looks like a forest in a fantasy. Lanterns hang at different heights with trees and flowing curtains. It's definitely a romantic restaurant, as there were couples at each table. My waiter never rushed us, explained each flavor, and was always around, but never annoying.
The food? Amazing. I had crawfish beignets which absolutely made the mouth water. Whatever is in that sauce is heaven. Two entrees, steep price, but there isn't a morsel you won't be talking about the next day.
The best dinner date I've ever had.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat decor and tasty food.Great decor and tasty food. A bit pricy for appetizers but overall a good restaurant when you can get a reservation there.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a wonderful time atAlways a wonderful time at B&W. Great service, unique menue and lovely decor.4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a find! The atmosphereWhat a find! The atmosphere here is unlike anywhere I have been in Denver. The pictures do not begin to do it justice. Romantic and cozy, a great place for a special date. We wanted tapas and wine, and I would like to see a more extensive appetizer list. However, we both enjoyed the crab beignets very much, and the escargot was excellent. Tables are well spaced and all the tables were full, and turning over, but the noise level was low enough to permit quiet conversation. The waiter was delightful and service was excellent. We will definitely go back, again and again.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMUnique, stunning decor, tasty fare. The aspens got me. I'd heard of Beatrice & Woodsley, then saw their Easter prix fixe brunch recommended in the Denver Post. But it was the trees that made me go. The pictures on their website are stunning, and indeed, the tree-filled room is a visual treat. The woody, bucolic decor is interesting, elegant and unlike anything I've seen in Denver. The holiday menu was delicious, highlighted with johnnycakes, Easter eggs, hot cross buns, a nicely spiced squash soup and quail with pork belly (they've succumbed to the belly trend, but I didn't hold it against them). The service was professional, efficient and friendly. I want to return to sample the regular menu--and I bet the room looks positively magical at night.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had the Vegetarian EasterWe had the Vegetarian Easter Brunch the food was awesome. The Sprouts and Spuds were DELICIOUS!!! Can't wait to return!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ambiance. Although,Great ambiance. Although, my husband was a little concerned being 6ft 4 at sitting at the booths because the tables were low.... No worries we sat at the bar which was eclectic and fun! I did feel the bartenders were busy with both table service and bar service that they were a little slower than should have been. That's the reason for my rating of good and not great!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMI want to live at B+WThis place is worth a visit for the ambiance alone, but once you sit down, you'll realize you're in for much more. You're served your glass of wine in its own glass carafe with a hand-written tag telling you about it. Your food arrives and it's imaginative, fun and delicious. Your server is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and sweet, and you'll leave feeling like you were just on a magical little vacation from your life. Go. Just go. I promise you'll adore this spot.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMDesign of the restaurant isDesign of the restaurant is a plus, clever use of materials and theme. Interesting, tasty food without being bizarre. Moderate price, loved the small plates. Happy Hour is a real bargain, with unusual, delicious choices.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMfirst time and I'll be back!Service was prompt and dishes were both pleasing to the eye and palate. Portions are sized perfect, but don't expect to have left overs. If you want to stuff yourself then try the local Chinese buffet. Excellent service with great ambiance, cute, romantic, and great food that's nicely priced.... I'll be back, starting with a couple of fun drinks for happy hour!3/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
