  • "Fantastic food, beautiful lay out- wish service was faster however. Will def go back!"

  • "I've been here three times, at happy hour, late evening and Saturday brunch. Each time the service was stellar, the drink selection fantastic, the food rich and amazing and delicious, and I just love the imaginative interior. Highly recommended."

  • "This is one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Our server, Kevin, guided us through the most amazing meal. My fiancé and I picked a half bottle of wine, and Kevin made suggestions that would pair well. We ended up doing all small plates: the crawfish beignets and the sweet pea spinach cakes were my absolute favorites. We also got the Sesame Creme Brûlée, and Kevin gave us each a glass of desert wine that paired perfectly with it for my birthday. I'm not the biggest fan of those sweeter wines either, but it was perfect. We sat in the front of the restaurant as the sun was going down and the light was beautiful. Seriously, this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. (And you have to see the bathroom! It's crazy!)"

  • "No doubt about it, this is the best brunch on Broadway and beyond. Beatrice & Woodsley brings all the aspects and components together to make for a practically perfect dining experience. If you haven't tried it, you should. If you have, you know what I'm talking about."

  • "We went to B&W on Friday night to celebrate my wife's last day at her job. I dropped my wife off to find parking an arrived at the table 10 minutes later, I sat down and the waiter delivered my wife's drink to her a few minutes later. He didn't acknowledge that I was there for another 5 minutes, no water, no drink order, nothing. They ran out of the ingredients for the Garden of Jewel drink which is popular and one would think that they would have planned for that considering it was a Friday night."

  • "Went for brunch (with a reservation, tho it turned out none was needed, may work to take your chances). Had a delicious brunch adult beverage (Tea Thyme, yum) and a nice "garden preparation" sort of deconstructed Benedict (Eggs Johnny Fever?), with a mustard sauce and lots of veggies and cauliflower. The sauce was a little viscous, and the mustard the primary flavor (maybe making the flavor a bit one note), but still a tasty dish and I appreciated the number of vegetarian options that were available on the menu. Friends got the biscuit and gravy which they inhaled!! :) The ambiance is great, the service delightful, and I will definitely return when I am in the Denver area. Looking forward to trying dinner here!"

  • "Although I can eat gluten free at this restaurant I think they could get a bit more inventive and expand these choices.ame thing because the choices are quite limited."

  • "A great place to go with a smaller group. The food was delicious with plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options."

  • "We went to Beatrice & Woodsley for dinner for my husband's birthday. Everything was good. Nothing was outstanding. I enjoyed the small plates more than the dinner plate. The gnocchi was a nice start to the dinner and the mussels were very good. I wouldn't order the cheese plate again. The cocktails were good, but not excellent and the wine pours were a little scant. Overall, I am happy that I went to try the dinner menu, but would not recommend it to others as there are plenty of other restaurants at that price point that are exceptional. Everything was good, but did not exceed my expectations at all."

  • "I enjoyed the atmosphere and flavors of the restaurant. The wine and cocktail menus were good, but I wish there had been a larger selection of entrees and that the smaller plates would not be so small."

  • "I went to Beatrice and Woodsleys with a chef, and architect, and interior designer. We were all blown away way by the ambiance, woodwork, and ingenuity of the restaurant design. I thought the food was very good. The descriptions sound heavy but the portions are manageable. I would say that no one thought that the food was out of this world. The bloody marys have the perfect amount of spice for me."

  • "Can't wait to go back! Amazing food, friendly service, beautiful ambience. Great time with our friends!"

  • "this was my third visit and it was not stellar. While the pimento cheesecake app was heavenly (I should haveorders 3 and skipped the entree), the shrimp and grits were bland. Not enough cheese in the grits and very chewy shrimp were disappointing. The chicken that I raved about after my first visit was undercooked and didn't have the crisp finish that it had the first time. Dessert was delicious, it was the same deconstructed banana cream pie."

  • "Beatrice and Woodsley is a very lovely restaurant. The food is a bit pricey for what you get, and it's good, not great. My pork shoulder (the special that night) for instance was dry, though the flavor was good. Very nice date spot for the ambience alone. The service was very good."

  • "We had some guests in from out of town and wanted to show them a cool Denver spot. None of us had ever been to this restaurant before but it came highly recomended by a friend. We were all impressed with the food and the service. The decor and ambiance were amazing and we will definitely return."

  • "Our group had a fabulous meal. With two bottles of wine, two small dishes, and four grand dishes the meal came to over $300, but it was worth it! The atmosphere and no pressure staff was great. Their drinks are excellent, with a decent wine list."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "The food menu is small plates, and large plates. The "large plate" portion was comparable to a small plate portion at any other restaurant. At $28 it was a huge rip off and it was not gourmet enough to justify itself at that price."

  • "I had been to B&W for dinner a couple of times and loved it. It has become one of my very favorite restaurants. There were four of us for brunch. The cocktails and French Press coffee were wonderful; we would have been happy just sipping cocktails and coffee for hours. However, we did try the brunch menu and while everything was very good, nothing blew me away like the dinner menus have done. I'll stick with dinner from now on. Service as always was delightful. The staff is always so friendly, courteous and efficient, and just generally lots of fun."

  • "We are never disappointed whenever we dine at Beatrice & Woodsley, especially their fantastic brunch. The decor and unique interior design enhance the overall dining experience. The wonderful cuisine combined with the staff's professionalism and attention to its customers will make you want to return sooner than later. No doubt about it."

  • "My family celebrated my daughter's birthday at B&W and it was our first time dining here. It was a bit difficult to find the restaurant because there is no signage outside so be sure to memorize the address and look carefully. The interior is quite amazing like a woodsy fantasyland. Our server was great, good-natured and knowledgeable. The food was very good too- I ordered the Eggs Johnny Fever which had poached eggs over guetta and a crisp bread and an excellent dijon mustard sauce; everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. My only complaint is the table we were sitting at because it was low down and far from the seating; I literally had to lean all the way over and it was uncomfortable; the restaurant offers standard tables and chairs."

  • "We enjoyed the gluten free options immensely. While we both love beets, this was a whole different level. The small booths make having a couple conversation easy and romantic. The noise level was decent and the lighting and trees were neat."

  • "We went to B&W for restaurant week, even though I made my reservation through open table, the restaurant called and requested my CC number to hold the spot because they were so busy. When we arrived, 5 tables filled...I wouldn't call that busy. Our server was more than obvious that he hated his job and didn't care about our table. The first course, called the "Amuse" course, was amusing. The appetizer was a single apple slice with a drizzle of cheese sauce - now really a single slice? We went on to have the soup, which was just ok. For the main course, we had two options fish or vegan. Luckily the cod was delicious. All in all, overrated and over priced. There are enough gems in Denver to eat that you can skip this one."

  • "Tucked into one of these anonymous broadway blocks is what I won't soon forget. I almost walked by but something wonderful caught my eye. I take pride in deciphering the map and finding the treasure. I enthusiastically carry a shovel with me longing for the random day I might see the proverbial "X marks the spot". Tonight it paid off. Tonight I discovered Beatrice and Woodsley. Like a moth I hit my head upon the glass peering into this magical aperture glowing like a lightly fueled forest fire on a windless night. Then I walked inside... Absolutely stunning experience through and through. Will be back as many times as I can!"

  • "Love the atmosphere, service and food at Beatrice and Woodsley. The only suggestion I would make is to have more of a selection on the menu. The Crawfish Beignets were amazing! Thanks for everything!"

  • "I had dinner on Saturday evening with a couple of friends. We shared the crawfish beignets and the sweet pea cakes and we were all delighted. Two of us chose the restaurant week menu, one the cod and the other the savory bread pudding. The third diner had the catfish and grits - and oh my, thought she had died and gone to heaven! We were all delighted with every bite. The wait staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. All in all it was a memorable evening. We're going there for brunch next week!"

  • "We went for Denver a Restaurant Week. I normally love the ambience here but they sat us in the Wine Cellar, which wasn't as nice. Wasn't overly impressed with the Den Rest Week menu. The main course (cod and mussels with sausage) was delicious but a really small portion. The white bean hash was very under seasoned. Expected more from B&W based on my previous dining experiences there."

  • "The interior of this restaurant is so unique. It's like you are seated in an aspen grove with lanterns over head - really special. I wish i could say the food was just as good. Its not. Both our entrees were mediocre and very salty ( and I love salt ;-). I had the veggie option for restaurant week. It was a vegetarian bread pudding: too doughy and not a ton of flavor (except for salt) My friend said her cod was "ok" I would go back for a drink at the bar and an appetizer. Not for a full (expensive) meal. The service was fine"

  • "The ambience of Beatrice and Woodsley is excellent. Every booth and table feels very private. The drinks are also quite good. I had the restaurant week menu and I was a little bit disappointed with my entree(the wild rice bread pudding), but I tried everyone else's food(from the regular menu) and it was very good. The white bean and ham soup and my dessert were excellent. All in all I would recommend this restaurant to others, but I would skip restaurant week and go ahead and go for their regular menu and prepare to spend more money."

  • "This was my second visit to B & W. Restaurant week. While their regular menu is small and well executed, their restaurant week menu was miniscule. However, my husband raved about the cod. I had the vegetarian bread pudding with cranberries and wild rice. It was tasty, but not as tasty as the other things I've tasted there. The moon pie was wonderful. And I thought I didn't like moon pies. B & W does an outstanding version."

  • "I get that it restaurant week isn't a great time for any place, but rather than being snarky about offering a service at a discount, the simple solution is DON'T. The server was SO rude and condescending when I asked if there were any other dessert options (again, I get that restaurants during restaurant week don't have to offer variation from the standard restaurant week menu) because of an allergy. I was SO excited to visit and was horribly disappointed. Luckily, I had fabulous company which made up for the service and food."

  • "The ambience was great, the place very uniquely decorated which I loved! The food however, was not so great. Not sure if it was just because it was restaurant week, or because I wasn't feeling that great, but I was very underwhelmed and un-impressed by the food. I wish we would have maybe ordered off the regular menu instead of the set menu. The hostess and our server were great though!"

  • "I had wanted to go to Beatrice and Woodsley for a long time. It did not disappoint. The food, service, and ambiance were wonderful. I have out-of-town "foodies" friends and will definitely plan an outing to B&W for us."

  • "Visited during Restaurant Week. It's on S Broadway; parking is limited but free after 6 pm. Feels relaxed like a lounge but tables are still private. "Amuse" course was first, consisting of a single apple slice with a rich cheese sauce on top, then a bowl of white bean and corn chowder (optional serving of ham on top). Main course was a generous portion of bread pudding with dried cranberries and a few other delightful flavors that I can't quite recall. My boyfriend got the fish and enjoyed it tremendously. The dessert was pumpkin whoopie pie, with heavy whipping cream. The dessert was good, but not great, and we were full from dinner, so we didn't eat much of it. The rest of the meal was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return!"

  • "I love B&W. We went for DRW and the prix fixe was delicious (we had the cod and the bread pudding). The service is excellent and I LOVE the ambiance in this restaurant. Something about the trees and the warm light and the white curtains makes me feel like I'm in a cozy cabin and a whimsical forest paradise all at once. I had a few minor critiques from this particular visit: the roasted beets that came with the bread pudding were way over-salted and some were charred. The cocktails didn't have much alcohol in them that I could detect. Finally, the prix fixe for 2 for restaurant week was $60 which is not in the spirit of a meal being $52.80. Mostly minor stuff - but I wish it would change for next year because I would come back again."

  • "My experience is that this restaurant can be a "hit" or a "miss". It was definitely a miss this time. The menu is way too pretentious, the food lacking and the price too high. My best advice is to stick to a drink at the bar (which is beautiful) or the brunch, which is usually good. Dinner very disappointing."
    Dined on 2/24/2014
  • "Other than the bathroom sink, Beatrice and Woodsley was pretty straight forward. The atmosphere and décor were notably different and tasteful. The menu was fresh and interesting. Everything I had was delicious and priced realistically. I look forward to going back."
    Dined on 2/23/2014
  • "I was surprised that the Denver Restaurant Week menu was so lacking in color. The white/beige color palate was found throughout the meal. We did have dark brown when the chocolate/pumpkin cake arrived for dessert. Would have loved a little more veggies for contrast to the meal."
    Dined on 2/23/2014
  • "We went there for resturant week and ordered off the regular menu as well as the resturant week menue. The food was average at best. The vegetable bread pudding was dry and bland. The risotto was too sweet and tasted like cream. The roast chicken was a leg/thigh on veggies that were unrecognizable not a $28 portion. All of the food served was just warm enough to not send back but defiantly not hot. I think they are concentrating on being hip trendy and that fine for the atmosphere but it's just not really working with the food. The wine was good. Staff great. Atmosphere fun."

  • "We had the catfish and the burger. The catfish was dry and best described as coming out of a freezer and straight to the deep fat fryer, NO imagination was used in this dish. While my burger was good, the potato salad tasted as if it had a whole bottle of smoke dumped in it, fake and very over powering. I have a smoker and use it all the time... I love the taste of smoke but this was all you tasted in the potato salad. Also, while I am no big fan of huge plates of food, the portions were small and over priced. The burger was maybe four bites at $20, the catfish was three pieces about 1/2 thick and 1 inch wide, more like a kiddie menu item and at $24 was simply thinking that you were paying for the decor and the food an after thought."
