A word from Beacon Bar and Grill
Designer Walter Gagliano's second visioning of BBG introduced a fresh, romantic feel to BBG. Vermeer’s portrait of “Girl with a Pearl Earring” was the muse in creating a new look. “Our original goal was to bring the space to a cleaner more contemporary vibe. When we discovered the over scaled Vermeer print, originally created by Philipe Stark, our fondness for bold romanticism found expression and led our fabric and lighting choices in a different direction" stated Gagliano.
Chef Dylyn Coolide introduces a menu that balances his own personal flair and beliefs with the wants and needs of our guests. Clean lines, bright flavors, and unique combinations best describe his culinary style. Menu items are influenced by the seasons in conjunction with local farmers and purveyors. Just like our clientele, our cuisine represents a fusion between regional and global influences. Chef Coolidge's goal is to give a truly pleasant and graceful dining experience in a casual, elegant setting.

Hello, I have eaten at Beacon Bar and Grill several times, with great satisfaction; however, this time I was disappointed. The various salads were very dry and the bacon did not have a crunch, but instead, were very hard to chew. I will eat there again and if it hasn't improved, I will not eat there again.

This was the best brunch I have ever had and I will most certainly be coming again the next time I am in DC. The bottomless mimosas truly ARE bottomless. Amazing food, service, and ambiance. I would love to bring my mom here for Mother's Day.

The food has gone way downhill from when I was last there. About two years ago. The champagne and vodka are beyond cheap brands and the crowd leaves something to be desired. The only plus was good fresh waffles and a lovely server. Otherwise, totally disappointing.

The brunch buffet was vast and diverse and way above average for buffet fare. And fresh omelets were made to order. And the lemon bar dessert was a treat. However, the over $30 and no menu options was overly steep. . Especially for those who went without the mimosas or marys.

I decided to take my family to Beacon so that we may celebrate my mother's 50th birthday. The entire group which included 8 adults and 2 children enjoyed themselves. The food was amazing. The service was so great there was honestly nothing we complain about. We only hoped that there were food that appealed to children just as much as it did for the adults. Regardless, this will not deter me from coming back. I honestly love this place! Put it on your "places to go" list.

We went here for the 4th of July and the only thing worse than the food was the service. Everything took forever to come out and our glasses were almost always empty. I asked for mayo for my burger and I was finished eating it (despite it being truly terrible) by the time the mayo arrived. We did the 3 course menu and they forgot to bring out the desert. Perhaps the food is better when it's a non-holiday, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This was my first in DC and I was in DC to celebrate my birthday. This restaurant was recommended by a friend. I loved the food, the service & overall feel was great. I'm going to tell EVERYONE I know to go. It was $30 for buffet brunch, unlimited mimosa and unlimited tequila sunrise. It was worth the price. I do not usually like buffet style, but I did not mind it at this restaurant. They were very clean, the food stayed hot and the guys cooking the omelets and waffles were so nice. Again, I loved this place and will be going back when I visit the DC area again.

It had been a while since I dined here. The mushroom quesadillas were pretty good, but that was about it on the positive side. A few in our group were less than impressed with the steaks (dry, even though medium rare), wings, and sauces (tasted like bottled varieties, not made in house as one might expect here). It was okay, but with nobody raving about anything they had for dinner, I'm not looking to return.

This was my second visit to this place. I am coming from NYC . First time i went at 10 AM and it was just after they opened, they have full buffet, but this time i went at 2 pm and half of buffet was gone. They dont replenish dishes that are gone. i did not want eggs at 2 PM so choices for food were limited. There were only 1/2 of salads at this time. The good part they give champagne no limits. LOL.

I went here with a party of 9 on Father's Day. We arrived about twenty minutes early of our reservation and were seated immediately upon arriving. The service was really quite well - our drinks were constantly refilled and our requests were accommodated appropriately. The brunch buffet had everything you would expect and some things you wouldn't. Overall, it was really good. The quality of the food was good and everything I personally had was delicious. Some of the members of my party advised they were not fond of the dessert selection; I didn't partake in that, so I have nothing to comment, but there were plenty of other things to make-up for that potentially negative aspect. Overall a good choice for brunch - we would definitely go again.
