  • "U can't beat the ocean view n sounds of the ocean especially at sunset but the food for diviner is poor. The food preparation belongs at Denny's or cocos for $30.00 entree why with such a commanding view / setting could they not do better"

  • "It was a surprise birthday lunch for my husband. We both had the best time we'd ever had, and enjoyed everything about it. Having lunch, sitting right there on the beach, it was breathtaking. After lunch, put our feet in the water, and took a walk along the ocean. Could not have been better...Can't wait to go again.."

  • "The terrific location, on the sand at Crystal Cove, coupled with good food and service makes this a must visit place when we are at the beach. Brunch is our favourite time as the sun in a better position for beach/ocean watching. Every table on the deck has an umbrella. While it's operated by Ruby's, I find the food much better and menu more interesting than typical Ruby's. The eggs benedict served with rosemary potatoes was very good and well presented. The egg whites were firm, yolks sufficiently runny and hollandaise sauce tasty. They've added Beignets served with maple flavor syrup (9 small in an order), which were good, but don't compare with Cafe DuMond."

  • "It was the perfect Summer setting. We felt like we were teenagers vacationing at the beach again. The food was great, the service good, but the best was the wonderful beach, the sun and all the people on the sand. We loved every minute of it. Even had some wine with our dinner! Many thanks for a great time."

  • "You are basically eating on the beach 75 feet away from the ocean. That is what you're paying for. The food as awful. Eggs were runny and raw. so raw that the entire white was clear. Toast was cold and not toasted, potatoes were way over seasoned."

  • "The view was amazing, the food was great! The price is a little pricey for what you get, but the view would make up for it. Service was ok, I wish there was a little more vegetarian variety on the menu. We definitely plan to go back again, I just wish we could book a reservation further in advance."

  • "This is our favorite breakfast spot in Newport. The beignets are to die for! The atmosphere (right on the beach) is great. Make sure to make your reservations well ahead of your arrival date, and arrive early as they will only hold your table for a short time due to the large number of people who waiting for walk-up tables. It is a little pricey but worth it."

  • "I frequent Beachcomber often always making sure I have reservations. My past visits have been a 10+. This time was not. The waiter was sarcastic and while trying to be funny was insulting! He didn't stop with one insult, he compounded it with a few more trying to be funny. When a friend (who is a waiter) stopped to say hi, the waiter somehow realized he needed to let up but by then it was too late, the damage was done. Since my overall experience was favorable (drinks, food, ambiance) I rated my overall "very good" and typically it's off the charts! :)"

  • "This place was amazing. The location is exceptional, as it is in a prime spot (right on the beach, literally). Part of our group was late, but they still were able to accommodate us for when they arrived, although I would have been fine to wait because the beach is right there! We were sat at one of the tables in the front...which was perfect. The food, I ordered Chilaquilas. These were reaaallly good! Americanized, but really tasty regardless. Waiter was nice and attentive. We will definitely be coming back, as I would like to try their lunch and dinner menus (we were there for breakfast)."

  • "The lunch menu was much better. We went for an early dinner to see the sunset and our meal wasn't as good as the times we have come for lunch. My boyfriends scallops were cold and my frutti di mare pasta was okay. The tacos and hamburgers from the lunch menu were much much better."
