Weather was perfect AND it was Cinco de Mayo. Hostess and waiter were attentive, we were seated quickly (thanks to our reservation as the wait was 45 minutes) at a nice table with a view of Lake Washington...but it took our entree over an hour to arrive.
Restaurant comped our dinners, which was awesome. But I was ready to chew my hand off by the time it came.
We will definitely be back, though. Food was good, although I can't tell if it tasted especially good as I was ravenous (I had the tilapia and hubby had fish and chips), bar drinks were yummy. Both couples had Passport cards, and there seemed to be some confusion regarding what items to take off the tab. One of our guests had soup and an appetizer which is not considered a main course. Our waiter consulted his manager and explained to us what the procedure was but gave us the lowest two main courses deleted from our check. We appreciated that and will know what Beach Café policy is regarding the Passport cards the next time we dine.
Two of us had fish plates, the mahi-mahi with fruit salsa and the coconut baked tilapia. Occasionally there is a change in the kitchen, and the new chef brings something new and special and always the result has been good. I cannot think of a better place to entertain clients, or just enjoy a quality meal with friends.
