Beach cafe is always a great place to go on a sunny day. The food is always good and they have a great bar. If you're boating on Lake Washington this is a great place to stop for lunch. Nothing is too original on the menu, but it is very, very good. Friendly staff too!

Lovely view of the lake - and parking is very convenient & reasonably priced! We had a lunch of old high school friends, and they were very accommodating as we "camped" and chatted. The food was unpretentious, tasty & served quickly. The server was knowledgeable and accommodating regarding gluten-free food choices.

I made the arrangements after seeing it on OpenTable and got the confirmation and then that night got a phone call and an apology that we really didn't have a reservation because the restaurant made a mistake and didn't block out our time. We had wanted the brunch buffet and I saw that it started at 11:00am but our reservations were for 10:45am. I didn't question it but when we got the call, she said I could only get 10:00am because they were setting up for the brunch at 10:45am. I told her I made the reservation for the brunch buffet and she thought awhile and then decided that they would fit us in for the brunch. That worried me because I thought we would either have a bad table or bump someone else who had a reservation.

The only restaurant in Kirkland not to have outdoor seating set up on a glorious Easter weekend. What a disappointment and a missed opportunity. Food was average, calamari overcooked.

We did the Easter Sunday brunch and it was just ok. The food was inconsistent & the service was so-so. My husband was looking forward to having a fabulous breakfast fare. He had some mini pancakes, sausage patties, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and he thought they were all pretty average tasting. The pancakes were cold and bland, the sausage patties were burnt and the scrambled eggs were rubbery. I, on the other hand, tried the lamb chops and roasted salmon and thought the food was delicious. It felt like we went to two different restaurants. I may have been wiser picking out the specials of the day but I think that the food should have been consistent and good all around.

We went on Easter - there was a buffet brunch for $39 per person, $20 for children. The buffet was nice but nothing special. Of course, you are really there for the beautiful view, so I was surprised to be seated at a table with NO view (completely obstructed by a wall), with easily a dozen empty tables nearby. We asked to be moved, and were, but still. Later during the meal, a large party decided they didn't like their table, and moved themselves and actually began re-arranging tables near us so they could be seated how they wanted. None of the staff stopped them or assisted them, even after I suggested to a waiter that a manager should be called. Overall, not worth it.

The food was quite good but the menu is more limitted than we remember it being under previous ownership. The Lake Washington view is spectacular and the service was friendly and attentive. Overall, the experience was Good+.
