I enjoyed the grilled salmon salad with nut couscous. Very satisfying and fresh. My boyfriend enjoyed his "usual" open face crab cake sandwich and ceasar salad. The crab cake is tasty with a crisp exterior, well executed.

The food is always outstanding and the duck wonton is unbelievably good. The service is always prompt without being omnipresent. We always order the tuna tartare appetizer. It's simply the best around, and we have tried it at most Jacksonville restaurants. On this particular night, we both ordered the fish special which was flounder. It was definitely fresh and prepared with just a light saute. My husband is VERY picky about fish and he said a couple of times how good it was. Don't be scared of getting the higher priced items at $25 they are worth every penny. The atmosphere was lively so if you are looking for a quiet dinner probably try elsewhere. It promoted active talking and the pace at which dinner was served was perfect for conversations. Waiter was awesome. I got the wrong beverage...though it tasted awesome anyhow, and after he realized it he brought me an extra on his own...I never would have noticed.

Later, as the place filled noise level was moderate. We enjoyed an incredible appetizer of selected(by us)cheeses,dried fruit,honey with a warm fresh loaf of bread.We then each had a gourmet pizza each with its own distinct flavors. The portions were just right. The crust was baked to crispy perfect and the toppings were fresh; the topping combinations were creative and delicious. Helpful was the suggested wine pairings on the menu. Finally we ended our meal with coconut cake and bread pudding. Half green salad with assorted fresh vegetables tossed with tasty vinaigrette dressing. Medium rare breast of duck perfectly coupled with sautéed greens. Filet seared to medium temp paired with layered scalloped potatoes and tender asparagus. I did a search around where I was and this was a block away. One seat left at the bar, and I took it. Great by the glass wine list, the best shrimp bisque I have ever had, and a delicious grilled shrimp salad. The shrimp were spicy and perfectly cooked. Only disappointment was too few "other" things going on in a bowl of designer greens. Would have been nice to have more of the featured items. Huge dessert case looked mouth watering, and I am sure most items were. I sadly picked the Red Velvet cake, which was moist and had a fabulous cheesecake layer at the bottom, but not much taste to the cake. Apparently though it is being retired.
