There was NO smile. There was NO verbal welcome. Our waitress was prompt and efficient but failed to "up-sell" us on "better wine" beyond the "41 Special". Their sister restaurant (Bistro 41) "up-sold" us when we were there last and we were delighted with the outcome and were expecting a similar overture here. The weather was perfect and because I had noted on our reservation it was our anniversary they gave us a wonderful table outdoors along the railing. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The service was friendly and impeccable and we were made to feel very special by both our server and other staff in the restaurant. I highly recommend you make Bayfront Bistro a must if you're visiting Fort Myers Beach. I wish I could say that this was a fantastic experience, but I cannot. Service was wonderful, attentive, friendly, not pushy. The table was extraordinary, on the deck overlooking the bay. Temperature was in the high 70s. Superb.
The menu was very limited. Understandable as it was Easter Sunday. I had a Caesar Salad and the Braised Lamb. Both good, not fabulous. My guests had prime rib and salmon. No complaints. No kudos. The chocolate mousse had no taste.

Our waiter was very nice and took good care of us. Service was a little bit slow to start but once you taste the food it doesn't even matter! Front house staff though need to get it together a bit, I waiting there for at least 5 minutes watching them discusse in front of of costumes where they should seat people and switching a lot of tables around. In my reservation I stated we were dining with a handicapped person in a wheelchair, thy had not made the proper accommodations. Great view and a beautiful evening. Excellent service. I have never let someone else’s opinion influence me. Well I went there for the first time this season on Saturday and it was just great. The staff was pleasant, the food was great and I enjoyed the happy hour. (Maybe too much) We booked on open table and our table was ready. I read someone who said they had a 6 o’clock dinner reservation and then they were going to a show at B Mann and there was a big problem. We had 5.45 and it was perfect. PS if you are going to a show at 8pm it might be tough to get there with a 6pm dinner there can be tons of traffic on the beach. They were very busy NYE and we sat outside and witnessed the most beautiful moon rise. The food was great and service was too. Thanks to Mike and Rob. What is hard to believe was the rude and demanding customers next to us. I felt very bad for the server. They wanted a different seat and when one was not available they made the servers life very hard that night, not sure what some people are looking for especially on NYE on FMB?
