The Easter Brunch at Bay 223 was incredible, based on the variety of foods and desserts presented. The food was typical brunch fare, with pretty much every type of food represented. The champagne was free flowing, the attentiveness of the staff was remarkable and the ambience certainly felt inviting.

I have had lunch at Bay223 on many an occasion and have never had a reason to complain - the lobster salad is always delicious and the pesto dip they have with the bread they bring to the table is to die for! The brunch we just had for Easter, however, was nowhere near the quality I was eoxecting. There were too few stations for the number of people they allowed per seating; the lines for the breakfast items were ridiculously long (and oftentimes you'd have a child - or worse, an adult using a child as an excuse - cut in line in front of you! But that is hardly the restaurant's fault.); the quality of the food itself was just not great - not bad, just "eh".

The steak was dry and rubbery. Dessert and prime rib were good. Crabcakes lacked crab. More like breadcrumb cakes. Dim sum consisted of small pork buns and the gyoza.

Too pricy compare to the overall experience. The food wasn't bad, the place lacks intimacy, not warm on a cold night. It took a long time for food to arrive between courses. The steak was good but sauce for the steak was slimy and aweful. My duck was delicious bit it got cold very fast. The califlower soup was excellent. The staff was friendly. They need to learn to wait when the parents are settling the kids down.

New Years Day disappointment. Thinking the brunch at the Sofitel would definitely be a show-stopper, how wrong was I? The food choices were so limited and needless to say, "cheap" and they manage to charge $45 a pop. I don't think so! They didn't even have a salad bar with decent vegetables, but decided to swap in three trays of pancake dujour. (Blueberries, traditional and wheat). Come on, never am I spending that type of money for IHOP quality food. Such a let down.
