"They did not have our reservations when we arrived. It didn't matter, though, since 95% of the dining room was empty. The food was mediocre and the service lacking. My husband ordered a bowl of chowder but received it in a cup. It was freezing in there. The man at the next table couldn't stop rubbing his arms.We won't go back."

"My boyfriend and I went to Bay Grille & Lounge for Valentine's Day and we both enjoyed ourselves very much. The restaurant is in a hotel and is located on the marina in Berkeley. It is really pretty being that it is on the water and the ambiance of the restaurant is very modern and up to date. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and probably be back one day ourselves."

"Service, timing and pacing of the meal was very poor. Food was not warm first time around. Server bought our bottle of wine as apology. With a special Valentine's menu and a half full restaurant, they still didn't seem like they were ready to provide a true dining experience."

"The person who seated us wasn't very helpful. We specifically ask for a table next to the window, there was a couple leaving and they were cleaning it up. However, she said no and sat us next to a wall. I was speechless. Food was good , not bad because American food usually bland. Our waitress was super friendly and very sweet to us, we left her a gratuity that fit for her service."

"Located inside the Doubletree Hilton (go to the back, then turn left), this hidden surprise is on the inner marina, so a view of the boats and breakwater, not the Bay. To compensate, the food is immeasurably better than His Lordship's and Skates, with far better service as well. Dinner gave us good salads and entrees better than expected, but skip the bready pizza crust with minimal topping in favor of generous pastas and excellent grilled meats. Desserts are standard vendor fare but good quality, and coffee was a lot better than many expensive restaurants serve. Good choice for a mixed group, and we'll return soon to try lunch."

"Our reservation for 2 was handled nicely and we had several tables to choose from. Service was slow, but we wanted time to talk and catch up, so that was OK. Server was friendly yet not intrusive, the mark of a pro. Wine selection was enticing, we tasted 2 and decided which was the favorite. Bread and butter was slow to arrive, though. We split a salad, which the server expertly divided for us at the table, a nice touch. The dinner special, chicken breast stuffed with crabmeat, was very tasty. However, the New York steak, from Harris Ranch, was very small and tough even though ordered medium-rare. I do not recommend that. A dish of ice cream for dessert was a perfect ending. Good view, good vibes."
