  • "We had a large group of 9 people and the service was outstanding. The kitchen mixed up on one of the dishes and two of our meals that were ordered medium rare came out rare and medium well. But nevertheless, the food tasted very good and the waiter took excellent care of us. Both appetizers and desert was excellent. We will definitely go back!"

  • "Decent place but the food is not as good with the old chef, the prices have gone up. Plus your meal comes with one piece of bread (not a basket for the table) No salad, no soup or option to add on with your meal. Everything is sold a la carte. We got basic pasta, chicken parm, and one soup(no drinks) and it cost $40. That just a bit too expensive."

  • "Celebrities great you as old friends.....but here.....you are the celebrity.......the food is so fresh, beautiful....if you are looking for a Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill...not this place...if you want to walk into a true Italian Bistro....this is your spot......."

  • "My wife and I have now been to Battuto twice. We love it. Several elements brought us back and will continue to bring us back. 1. The food is fantastic and the ideas original. Their approach to garlic cheese bread is fun and delicious. The filet mignon pizza is fantastic! 2. The service is great. They are knowledgeable and fast but not overbearing. Good wine service. 3. It is definitely a jewel within its location. We are huge fans."

  • "We discovered Battuto on one of our evening explorations for. Restaurants closer to home in 2013 and discovered Battuto. Wild boar ragout had just been added to menu, with butternut quash. That was the go to meal. Time passes and seasons change and what? No wild boar ragout? Had to step out and try some all new specialty dishes. Lamb Ragout, chicken primavera pasta. Soap so good. Kudos to server Ashley for her good natured participation in our jokes :-). tHIS is our go to restaurant!!"

  • "There was six of us. The service was unacceptable. The waiter brought our main entrée before we had a chance to finish our salads and soups. There wasn't even room for our plates. One member of our party ordered the same dish he has ordered the last five times we were there. He always request no mushrooms in his pasta. The dish was brought with mushrooms and when he sent it back, the manager or owner came to the table and told him it could not be prepared that way. He said it with a clear attitude that we all witnessed. We all agreed that in all of our experience of visiting restaurants', none of us have ever been treated that way. The last time we visited, another waiter had a negative attitude. I think success has gone to their head."

  • "Wonderful restaurant!! Received a gift certificate for the restaurant and decided to try it. This definitely will be our go to place for great food, wine and great service. The owner comes around and checks to see if everything is okay as well."

  • "We recently moved to the area and have found quite the gem in the North Dallas area. The owner stopped by our table several times to make us feel welcome and at home. He explained the menu items to make our mouths water and was very generous with his time with us. The filet pizza was wonderful and the bison pasta was certainly a wonderful new try. Thank you Gene for taking such great care of us."

  • "Italian is my favorite food so it has been harder and harder to find a restaurant that is up to my ever-increasing standards. Battuto exceeded my expectations and those of my fiance. Will DEFINITELY be returning. Great food, great service, great ambience."

  • "Having been born and raised in one of the great Italian Food cities in the U.S.A., I am always skeptical of any location in DFW voted best Italian Food by local diners. My skepticism is yet to be overturned. It's an Italian cuisine desert in this town and the quest continues.... We ate at Batutto for Sunday brunch-maybe 6 tables at the most occupied. Our uncomplicated order took a very long time to get to the table. The server was conscious of that and did his best to expedite the order. Don't quite understand why a new coffee mug was delivered to the table for a refill. The kid's pizza was just a slippery mess, and our 5 year old grandchild wouldn't eat it. HOW in the world can a pizza fail?"

  • "Meat and Cheese board was excellent, the pickles, jam, bread, and all the meats/cheeses were delicious. But, that's easy, anyone can do that. The cauliflower soup was too good. I could eat that by the bucketful. The arugula salad was so blah I could barely stand it. I ordered the scallops and they were so completely perfectly cooked, I could cry. And then, when I tasted the obscene amount of salt, I almost did. There was so much salt my mouth literally hurt. It completely ruined the perfectly cooked scallops. The risotto was good, though. The pomodoro pasta with filet was so lackluster it's not even worth mentioning. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly, he brought us an incorrect entree but fixed it quickly."

  • "We live nearby but with so many choices it took us a while to give it a chance. The first reaction was the regret of not coming in sooner. Great food & service - a true gem."

  • "Last night we ordered the special Bacon & Mushroom Risotto appetizer for the table. It was wonderful; creamy, but with plenty of texture. It was very good. We would order it again if it appeared on the menu."

  • "I have been to Battuto several times and I really want to love the restaurant. There are some things that keep it just short. For starters, the wine list is nice, upscale assortment but when you order a nice wine you would like to have it served in a proper wine glass. A crystal wine glass is more appropriate than the cheap, heavy glass they use. The food overall is good but the presentation is not always consistent."

  • "It was not bad, but nothing special. I had the short ribs, which were not all that great. The ribs themselves were okay, but were served on a corn bread type deal that I did not like at all. My wife had the spaghetti. It was average. I will say that our waiter was top notch. No complaint on the service"

  • "I tried to take my wife to another restaurant for Valentine's Day, but they wouldn't budge from their poorly advertised fixed price menu. Was able to get a timely reservation for dessert at Battuto, and it was great. My wife and I hadn't been to Battuto before, but we were very impressed with their menu, their staff working up front, and their wait staff. We looked over their full dinner menu as we were waiting for our desserts to arrive, and I can safely say that we will definitely be coming back. The staff were all very friendly. A little bit more upscale than for just a standard evening out, but looking forward to going back."

  • "We booked a reservation for a Valentine's Day dinner before continuing on for a weekend getaway. The food was super as always, our server was wonderful (would love to have him again!!!), and everything was as it should be as it always is when we eat at Battuto."

  • "We're happy to have this neighborhood restaurant. We have it in the rotation usually once a week and the food is consistently good. The crowd is sort of random. Sometimes it's hard to get in and other times it's not busy at all. At any rate, reservations are always a good idea and if Open Table says there is no seating, call the restaurant. They can usually work you in. Great place for a meal with the family or dining alone."

  • "We first ordered the bread and cheese plate as an appetizer- recommended by our waiter- just to find out that they were out of cheese. So, we ordered the calamari- it was ok. Then, we ordered the filet mignon pizza, just for our waiter to come back and tell us that they were out of filet. We had a 7:15 reservation, so it really wasn't that late. Anyway, when we got our food it was ok, definitely did not live up to the hype. I would recommend Maggianos over this place any day."

  • "Food was wonderful, it was a first visit for our friends. They will definitely return. Our waiter was Sara, she was very helpful in our choices of wine, really good wine, and our food selections. Will ask for her again! Thanks for bringing a great restaurant in our neighborhood, we really love inviting fiends to join us."

  • "Made a reservation so no waiting on a Friday night. Wide open dining room with quiet atmosphere. A little on the dark side for those over 40. The waiter had an attitude. He seemed like he didn't want to be there and my guess is that he won't last much longer. Regular menu is very limited but every two days they change the 'special' menu. Pasta is made in house so it isn't the thick gummy type - very nice touch. Portions are reasonable, prices are a little on the high end for the area, quality, quantity and service."

  • "This neighborhood Italian restaurant is excellent in food, service, and atmosphere. Although a somewhat limited entire menu, the food is superb, and the bar offers innovative and excellent drink selections. The soups were outstanding also. Definitely a place to return to often."

  • "Food is reliably very good. I recommend the short ribs, gnocchi and wild boar ragu over pasta. Took several friends there and all went back on other occasions. The chef/owner is visibly present and the servers are excellent. Try to go during the week as weekends get noisy."

  • "Second time at this restaurant; the food is good but the service was lacking. Waitress forgot to bring our appetizer and though she appologized it was an awkward experience. This restaurant has good food since it opened however the service can be inconsistent at times."

  • "I had wrote a few things I wanted before I came to Battuto. First, I wanted a booth, that was done. I also wanted that booth away from other tables because I wanted to be in peace with friends, I got a table with people around me on all sides. I wanted a nice view for the table, didnt get that. Also I wasnt even offered a complimentary dessert even though it was my birthday and the waitress knew that it was! Thats ridiculous. I can go somewhere as small as Chilis and get a free dessert just from them seeing that its a special occasion. The food was good, waitress was nice, but I dont think I will go back anytime soon."
