For years, Basta Pasta had established itself as a cornerstone for diners in Harford County. We are now bringing the experience closer to the Baltimore Metro area in Timonium . You can enjoy a memorable dining experience in any of our 6 intimate dining rooms . We feature hearty, traditional regional Italian cousine.   • "I brought a longtime friend to Basta Pasta for lunch, knowing he enjoyed seafood and had never eaten here before. We each ordered a crab cake, his fried, mine broiled, along with a side veggie. I had him taste mine first since it would be a bit more subtle tasting than his, and he loved it. Since he prefers fried foods, he enjoyed his cake even more, admiring the large lumps of crab in both versions. He admitted that he had expected my raves about the crab cakes to be purely subjective, but happily acknowledged that he had never had a better-tasting crab cake. Before we left, he actually called his wife to schedule a dinner for the two of them at Basta Pasta for the following week. What better praise!"

Fabulous. Garlic rolls and salad are a plus. We had our office Xmas party in one of their private rooms. Best one to date and we've been doing this for over 30 years! Can't wait for next year."

  • "Had a reservation for 8pm. We arrived at 8pm & were seated immediately. The hostesses were very pleasant, as was our server. Cant say enough about our server as a matter of fact. This was our first visit to this establishment so I cant speak for the rest of the servers, maybe we just got lucky with ours, but he seemed very well trained & polite. Food was great, very authentic Italian & in huge portions. Nice wine list. Overall, we were very happy. We will definitely be returning!"

  • "We eat at BP about 2 - 3 times a month. Food consistently great! Service has always been stellar... my husband is handicapped and they make great accommodations for him. Always helpful. HOWEVER... went there this week, not crowded. ... waiter was at first very attentive...but after he brought the salad, we only saw him once to bring our meal... water glasses were emptied, wine glass empty...no waiter. There were only two other tables of two that he was servicing. He disappeared for large stretches of time. FIRST TIME EVER we have had a complaint about the service. I WOULD GO BACK... but definitely not have the waiter."

  • "Our party ordered two of the 4-course $30.15 Restaurant Week prix fixe specials: Chilean Sea Bass and Rack of Lamb. Both delicious as was the Parmesan Tilapia ordered from the regular menu. House white sangria decent, even though a bit too sweet. Service was good. This is a large restaurant so make sure to request a table closer to the entrance if anyone in your party has mobility issues."

Food is always extremely good and the noise level was just right - no one had to yell - that's important on our catch-ups. BP is good for almost any occasion, even a romantic one. We were seated at a lovely table in the back, not right on top of another party. Waiter was super pleasant and efficient, food and timing was excellent and prices were reasonable. We will definitely return soon Favorites from our party were the chicken marsala. eggplant parmesan and the lobster ravioli. Wine was excellent also."

Service was very good considering the crowd House salad was excellent and fresh. Red sangria was very good but was slim on ice - which was quickly replenished. Crabcake was excellent in all respects. Linguine and white clam sauce was very good - great flavor and pasta but the chopped clams were tough Overall very good experience"
