I had the aged Delmonico steak and it was great, and not a strong taste that I thought it might have. We had a wonderful waitress. The only comment is that the steak could have been warmer when served."

  • "We went to Bass Street Chop House after a friend recommended it. Everything about it was awesome. Great scotch selection. Great wedge salad. Great wine recommendation from our waiter (we had cherry pie pinot noir) and the steaks were outstanding. All in all....great dinner with my two sons. Highly recommend."

  • "In town for the John Deere Golf Classic. The restaurant was busy, but should have been manageable. We placed our entire order at the same time-appetizers, salads , and entrees. We had to wait one hour and 45 minutes for our appetizers to arrive-one crab cake, one scallop, and one order of portobello fries. The steak entrees were ok, but disappointing. The waitress was extremely nice and did the best she could do. We asked to see the manager, who eventually came. He comped our appetizers, but only made excuses for the kitchen and the slow service. The manager should never need to make excuses for the kitchen. From start to finish, we were in the restaurant over three hours. Don't think we will be back."

  • "I get the pork chop everytime. It is my fave. Order early so the chef can start it. Mine was do e enough this time, as I request well done. When the server asked me to cut into it & make sure it was good, I had to send it back. After being cut, it was too dry & not the normal fantastic. I think had they cooked it longer initially, it would have held the juices like it always does. I will return!"

  • "Over all not to bad.potatoes where alittle to big.the mash potatoes to much.most people are looking for sincible in fine dining and not how much you can eat in one sitting.The potatoes where old and brown form sitting to long in the heat.eggs where over cooked on the salads. Green ring around the yoke.the waitress was nice and well informed about the menu and choices.Price was fair for the type of food and menu.Watch your cooking times,and sit time on some of your food."

  • "As always the food was delicious. Our waitress was very good, but over-worked. It was a Sunday evening and it appears they did not have enough staff to cover all of the diners who showed up. The atmosphere was good and every one enjoyed themselves. And again, the food was delicious. We will definitely go back to Bass Street Chop House for our special occasions."

  • "Our waiter was so slow! It took us a full two hours to have our meal. I thought at first perhaps the slow pace was normal for the restaurant, but people that were seated long after us were able to escape long before us. The restaurant was NOT busy, lots of empty tables, so it wasn't as if he was trying to serve twenty tables at once. The food was good but not worth the very high price. The acoustics were terrible, it was noisy even though it wasn't crowded, and it was freezing. Also had some other problems with service other than slowness (don't have enough space in the review to elaborate). We will NEVER go back here again. Considering how empty they were on a Saturday night it appears that many other people feel the same way."

  • "I have been here many times when in town on business and normally sit at the bar dining alone. It was always awesome then, but this night missed the mark. Tuna app did not taste fresh, steak not cooked properly, mac & cheese cold the first time and then overcooked the second time, chocolate lava cake not really a chocolate lava cake, meh. Wanted to love this place as it was my wife's first time there, but was not a good night, particularly for the price."

  • "My wife and I had an reservation for Bass Street on Saturday, we arrived, got seated and waited to be served. We waited a few minutes and the water server came by to charge our glasses and tell us that our waiter/waiteress is coming. As my wife and I observed that parties that came in after us were being served and we were still waiting. After 15 minutes of being ignored, we left. My wife vowed to never come back, because that was the worst experience we had in any restaurant."

You will not find better food or service in the Quad Cities. I normally have to go to Las Vegas for this kind of food. I would highly recommed this place to anyone who enjoys fine dining."

  • "My family has dined here for several years for Easter brunch and Mother's Day brunch. My wife and daughter were very disappointed that they took the crème brulee French toast off the Easter buffet. I casually expressed our disappointment to the head chef and he told us if we came back for Mother's Day he would make a special batch just for us. We returned on Mother's Day and the chef immediately recognized us and headed straight to the kitchen and lo and behold 10 minutes later we had a special batch of crème brulee French toast delivered to our table. Not only was it the best French toast we have ever had, that is service above and beyond the extraordinary! "

  • "This was our third time dining at Bass Street Chop House and the food was again outstanding, especially the prime beef. The service was also excellent with an efficient and energetic, but not overbearing waitress who made our elderly mother feel special for a Mother's Day dinner. The only drawback for this visit was the noise level was a little high as there was a festival occurring right outside the restaurant and the band's music was a tad loud and the tunes were not exactly fitting for a fine dining experience."

  • "We eat here at least every 4 weeks, often at the recently expanded bar area that let's you mix and match from the bar and regular dining menus. This was a special occasion, our 35th anniversary, and everything was as good as we have come to expect. Service was impeccable, friendly and efficient. Our glasses were never empty and food arrived at the correct pace. All food, from soup and salad to dessert was flavorful, fresh, the right amount and the right temperature. Whe the prices are high compared to standard chain restaurants, the experience never disappoints. "

  • "We went on a Saturday night and there was a concert right outside the restaurant. The music inside was loud enough we could not listen to the concert but the concert was so loud it was hard to hear the restaurant music. It was very distracting. The food was great although a little pricey. and the service was good. We were disappointed that they no longer serve onion rings. They were the best in the area and a way to differentiate this restaurant from others. "

  • "I have had many terrific dinners at the Bass Street Chop House, and I look forward to many more. Few restaurants have more personable waiters and bartenders; our waiter remembered my name from a few nights earlier when he was tending bar. However, my steak tonight was not up to par. The problem was not the cooking but rather the cut. For $42 you expect a reasonably good cut of meat, and this was tough and grizzly. My recommendation is (for the time being, anyway) to avoid the steaks and go instead for the double-cut Iowa pork chop, which is always splendid. The sandwiches, salads, and appetizers are all excellent as well."

Cameron does a wonderful job with the wine list, they are lucky to have him. For a Friday night 1/2 price bottle of wine and a prime bar burger they can't be beat. By far one of our favorite places."

  • "The food is always exceptional. The service is outstanding. The portions are perfect. The price is reasonable for the type of restaurant this is. Plan to spend $130 for dinner for two with only one glass of wine each. For us this is only a special occasion dining destination, but worth it."
