BaskAmazing dining experienceI was assisting with my wife to one of the many wine events in SF and made a reservation for this restaurant because it was close to the event, had good reviews and I love Spanish food. We arrived an hour earlier and were able to get a table quick (5:30 p.m) Dough, our waiter made our dining experience an exceptional one. He has a great sense of humor and know the menu very well. I do recomend their red sangría, you can tell that they start with descent red wine as a base, few liquors and great fruit flavors. We started with the octopus follow with ham croquetas and warm chortizo. We had their delicious paella as a main dish and finished with their Basque cake for dessert. The service was excellent. We got there early (6:30) and it was not crowded. Food was brought promptly and we ate leisurely. As the place filled up, a musical trio played flamenco music, but we were not encouraged to leave. The bill was not brought until we asked, and so we did not leave until almost 9. well below what one would expect to pay at similar San Francisco restaurants. Wide variety which can be easily shared by two or three people. Even bigger portions of entrees
which could have been shared by three people. Young, energetic, noisy crowd which along with music made if difficult to have a conversation with our group of three older couples.
