My wife and I were looking for something different, and noticed Basil's had an open reservation and decided to give it a try. We are glad we did. The service was impeccable. The food was terrific with plenty of options to satisfy any craving. We had the Duck A L'Orange and shrimp scampi. Dessert is also a must have. If you've never eaten here before you should give it a try. It's that simple! My husband and I have chosen Basil as our favorite restaurant based on our overall dining experience and we live in Southern CT. The veal dishes are the most palate pleasing, the staff is most attentive and gracious, and the atmosphere is cozy and romantic. Service is really good and you get the time to really relax and have a couple of hours for dinner. Usually you are rushed at most restaurants. Here they give you all the time you need/wantto really enjoy the meal and your company!

This was our first time eating French cuisine; the food was good.
