Eat outside if at all possible, very romantic. Had the Bravo's Top Chef Dinner Menu. Each course is served family style, so no elaborate plating designs, just great food, expertly prepared. We loved everything. The menu consisted of: seared sea scallops, sautéed tiny clams, Ligurian octopus salad, Scampi Vivi, risotto ai frutti di mare, tortiglioni con moscardini, rigatoni con scorfano e melanzane, ravioli di ricotta con caciotta Toscana, pescato d’amo al forno (orata). Followed by a symphony of desserts. Service was impeccable. This was more than a great meal, it was an incredible dining experience. Chef Paul Bartolotta was at the desk when we arrived. We had one of the three chef's tasting menus, with fresh fish flow in from the Mediterranean. We are very critical of many restaurants, because my wife is a spectacular cook. I always tell her should could go on The Taste and win!! Although all of the servers are very good, Ray is one of a kind.

HOWEVER, there was a problem. We made the reservation (using OpenTable) a couple weeks ahead. When we arrived at the entrance, the young ladies told us we had no reservation. After much discussion with them and a manager, their computer was able to determine that our reservation was for AUGUST 17, not APRIL 17. Fortunately there was a suitable table available. Your confirmation had indicated APRIL. This was clearly the restaurant's mistake. The cuttlefish was suppose to be charcoal grilled. When it arrived at my table it looked as if it was boiled and put on the grill for about thirty seconds and then covered it with some sauce on top. It had no taste all of being grilled on a wood fire so that was the only disappointment. The penne with scorpion fish was delicious and so was the spaghetti al astice. I ordered the occhiona which is the big red eye sea bream was cooked perfectly and also was delicious. Every single staff member I came into contact with could not have been more gracious and welcoming. The tasting menu was exquisite. The portions were perfect and it is the only way to go so that you enjoy the variety the Chef has to offer. I had high hopes for the dinner and they exceeded all of them.
