Barrio 47Dinner with 10Had dinner her with 9 friends. It was quite when we got there since we had a reservation for 7am. (We had Jazz at the Village Vanguard at 10.30), but was really busy and tough to hear by the end. Overall, the food was good, although they "made" you do a pre-fix for a party of 10. Be careful about the steak, although good, their idea of medium is medium-rare (i.e. red in the middle ... not pink). Overall, a good experience in an unassuming location.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience!Went for dinner to celebrate my birthday, everything was great, the food is delicious, the ambience is very cosy, it's a discreet hotpost to discover, I loved it!!!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food!Excellent experience at barrio 47! From the food to the service, everything was perfect!
We tried couple cocktails (diablo and hibiscus mule), had the fois gras (superb), lobster paella and hanger steak were cooked perfectly. Our waiter, I think Nelzon, was very attentive and knowledgeable. By the time we left, the bar area was packed w/ a vibrant European crowd, very cool. We will be back!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMYum!!!'Went for brunch and I was blown away by how delicious it was! I had the barrio burger which was to die for the combination of the egg and bacon n truffle fries is delicious !! My friend had the sausage hash which was vey interesting the home made merguez had just the right amount of everything ! The service was great. right from the beginning out hostess was bery friendly and full of energy! our server Marc was very attentive and made sure our experience was pleasant without over solicitating us ..:Make sure you don't miss out on the blood orange champagne cocktail and the Bloody Mary too!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI celebrated my birthday at BarrioI went with a party of 10 to celebrate my 35th birthday. I have been to Barrio before with smaller groups but going with a larger group was even better. Energic scene, friendly staff and the food and cocktails were amazing. Definitely going back again.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMBest paella in nyc!!!!I'm a big fan of paella, the one they have come with a nice portion of fresh lobster on top, the rice was perfectly cooked, mixed with chorizo, clams and shrimps, DELICIOUS! The interior is very cosy with original painted brick walls, makes you feel you're having dinner in barcelona. Great service, affordable wine list, I will be back!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA True GemDon't pass up Barrio 47! My friend and I really enjoyed our dinner here. Cocktails are amazing, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, I recommend this place to anyone :)5/22/2013 12:00:00 AM$1 oysters for HHCame here on a Monday with my gfs. Great $1 oysters, & $20 for a pot of mussels, fries, and choice of beer or wine. Everything we had was delicious. All of the desserts were good too. Definitely a neighborhood gem!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMediterranean gemFirst time at Barrio 47. Extremely well-appointed bar focusing on high-end whiskeys and local gins, not too busy, tasteful. Highlight of the meal was the mushroom pizza on very thin crust, cut into eight squares - delicious. Had the Hake/Mussels special, very tasty although Hake isn't my favorite fish and wish they'd used grape tomatoes instead of sliced regular tomatoes in the sauce, they cook up better. I'd go there again.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, nice atmosphereRecently ate here with some friends. Food was excellent as always, had the fish of the day which was real yummy. Barrio Especial cocktail is my favorite, we had them for the entire table.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and drinks in abundance!Once Again, we enjoyed the time we spent in the West Village. I personnaly had the Fish of the day which was a monkfish with mussels, delightful, and a special cucumber cocktail that the new bartender made me.

Warm ambiance and delicious cocktail list
Thanks for the good time , I will return4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMdelicious dinner!!!I just moved to the west village and decided to try Barrio 47. The decor is very cool, a mix of brick walls and industrial lights with a wood burning oven in the center of the dining room. We went last tuesday for their farm to fire series, we started with the scallops and octopus, I had the veal chop and my partner the hanger steak, all was delicious. The staff is very welcoming, the service was excellent, i will def come back very soon!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome restaurant in everyAwesome restaurant in every way. The staff was very accommodating to our large group, food was delicious and great value for money, and real ambience. I recommend it to anyone.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFood awesome. Service awesome.Food awesome. Service awesome. Special drinks way special4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMHad dinner here recently withHad dinner here recently with my family. We were all very impressed. Restaurant has great atmosphere, though it does get a bit loud when it's full. Food was excellent, we shared some appetizers and then each had an entree, with a cocktail on the side. They were all delicious; we especially liked the cocas for appetizer and the truffle lasagna.
Would definitely go here again! Great find4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMMy visit to Barrio 47 wasMy visit to Barrio 47 was not what I expected. The decor and feel seems much more geared to a late night crowd. So I was pleasantly surprised that the food was quite good -- tasty and interesting. Our server was great! Friendly and helpful. While the restaurant was close to empty at dinner hour (7 pm) and didn't fill up as we ordered and ate, this is definitely a place where you can get a good meal and enjoy the cool decor.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMA Tasty Neighborhood PartyThis restaurant was a great find, as we do not know much about Manhattan yet. We went for brunch on Easter, and the wait staff was friendly and energetic. The food was fantastic and full of flavor. The European flair was just enough, and the ambiance was that of a lively party. I fully reccommend trying this one out!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWent there half an hour beforeWent there half an hour before my reservation to check their bar scene and was kindly surprised. They were still doing happy hour with their new cocktail: their famous sangria, at $7!!!! Speechless!
About the dinner, I figured that they are now serving "Tartares" as appetizers, that you can also get as a Main Course.
We shared the Tuna and the Sirloin, outstanding! Thumbs up for barrio!
We'll be back.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMLobster paella was very good.Lobster paella was very good. Also very small portion for a main dish. The scallops and a mushroom pizza were both quite good. We sat at the table in the nook of the front window and had a nice view the city streets.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent SeafoodThe seafood at Barrio 47 was divine! Started with the beau soleil oysters which rocked my world, followed by the salmon tartare that was the best I had in a long time. For our main course my friend and I split the lobster paella and the salmon. These didn't disappoint! The salmon was perfectly cooked and I loved the presentation. I am looking forward to coming back to this restaurant as I was incredibly impressed with the food. Our waiter was very attentive, gave great suggestions for the wine, and was super cute ; ) We found the menu very reasonably priced for the quality and the ambiance was perfect! We'll be back for sure.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat night, and then...We had a wonderful time, enjoyed fantastic service, and ate delicious food. As we were finishing our drinks and sitting with the bill on our table the hostess came to inform us she had a reservation that she needed to seat so "were we almost done?" My husband had half of his drink left. After I exclaimed how rude it was she started to backtrack and offer to seat us somewhere else. No thanks. We didn't take an excessively long time eating or paying the bill but obviously we weren't fast enough for her. Because of the lame end to our meal I won't be returning or recommending this place. Boo. Could've been a winner. When you have so many places to chose from in NYC, there's no need to settle.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the cocktails and willLove the cocktails and will go back for them again !3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMBRUNNNNCH!I came here with a group of friends for brunch last Sunday. I was REALLY excited to try it since I've been for dinner several times. We decided on ordering close to one of everything and sharing since we wanted to try the entire menu. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! The burger, lobster cake benedict, sausage hash and shaksuka were amoung our favorites. As if it couldn't get any better, they also have a $29 brunch special that includes 3 mimosa drinks (mimosa, kir royal, passion fruit, bellini, blood orange, and hibiscus)
After our server told us they recently won bext french toast in the west village, we added that on as our dessert.
I can't wait to come back with another group of friends!3/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is by far one of my favoriteThis is by far one of my favorite spots in the city! The food and drinks are superb and the service is impeccable. Can't wait to go back!1/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a hidden gem nearThis is a hidden gem near Union Square. It is a small and cozy bar/restaurant easily located near any major subway exits. The staff are internationally diverse and very friendly, with the bartenders serving up delicious cocktails and engaging in friendly conversation while you wait for a table. I had the 47 and Dark and stormy, both were delicious and something you might find at a speakeasy bar. The food was amazing. I ordered the salmon, my friends ordered the steak. It came in a just-right portion. I definitely would go back there! We had four in our group, and I recommend making a reservation prior to going there. One issue we had was we didn't know there was a time limit on tables so we were kindly asked to leave, but it was enough time4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding!!!Barrio 47 is an excellent restaurant all around. The food is awesome and always seasoned perfectly. They have fun, delicious and unique drinks coupled with a lovely wine selection. The staff are attentive but not overbearing. There's a fun atmosphere with great music that suits groups or a couple out on a Friday night. I've also had their brunch, which is fantastic - try all their Bloody Mary's! Lastly, the prices are very good...not outrageous and well worth every bite and sip.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Brunch NYC, Seriously!I've been here a couple of times for dinner, which was absolutely to die for, so I was very excited to try brunch from this little West Village Hot Spot. We came here as a group of 7 for Brunch and had an incredible time!. For Brunch they offer a 3 drink (champagne cocktail) + 1 entree for $29. We started with freshly seared Wagyu Beef tidbits dipped in a goat cheese and julienne vegetable sauce which was amazing, and set our palettes off. I had a hard time deciding between what to pick because it all looked amazing, but stuck with eggs benedict with black truffle hollandaise, which I practically licked my plate clean it was soo good. I recommend this place for everyone, as it is surely one of the best brunches I've ever eaten in the city!2/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
