It's the little things that we look for when dining out and Barrett's has it. The food was quite excellent, the service was excellent, the wine delicious. The noise level, however, prevented us from conversing comfortably and we were under an air vent that blew cold air. I would definitely go back, though I might ask for a different table. We are quite particular of what we eat and I must say we have enjoyed every dish we've selected. The appetizers are tasty and delicious. The entrees whether it be fish, meat or seafood have always been served hot, fresh and in sync with our entire meal. We also love the bread pudding. The staff is friendly and professional and they are impressively knowledgeable of the menu. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their food, and the service was outstanding. The only suggestion I would make would be re: the food selection - I would recommend having an option on the menu for a create your own omelette - instead of being limited to the 3 taste specific omelette selections that are on the menu. While the atmosphere at the restaurant during brunch was very relaxed, there were not a lot of menu items that would interest kids. Manager was quick to make sure a 2 year old in our party was fed quickly and didn't have to wait until the rest of the food was ready. In addition, manager stated that he had one of our meals remade because it "just didn't look right." Barrett's also replaced another meal because egg was overcooked with no problem.
