  • "My husband and I had a chance to try out this restaurant in North Palm Beach recently. Apparently Barolo opened less than 3 months ago but has not advertised other than being listed on Open Table. I must say that the service level there was beyond what we have seen recently in this area. Everyone from the hostess to our server Henry to the maitre' D was delightful! My husband loved the long bone veal chop and while I truly enjoyed the Cobia special, the dessert offerings were beautiful and delicious. One additional note....The walk in, climate controlled wine room is a thing of beauty!!! All the best to Barolo Ristorante!!! We will be back!"

  • "Great new restaurant in the Crystal Tree Plaza! The bar is absolutely beautiful and quite busy. We had a drink while waiting for our friends to arrive. The drinks were generous pours although expensive. We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly. Our waiter, Rob was attentive and wonderful. He decanted our wine and brought extra dipping oil when ours ran out. The oil was delicious as was the lentils and bread. My husband ordered the Salmon special. I had a pasta dish as did my friend. Her husband had a grilled steak. We all were quite pleased with our meals. The bill was very expensive for 4 people at $300 although we did have 2 bottles of wine with dinner. We will be back!"

  • "Walking in the door at this recently opened North Palm Beach restaurant definately caused us to say....WOW! This is not something you see in this sleepy area of Palm Beach County! The smiles that greeted us from beginning to end were matched by the unique twist on the menu items that were Yummo! Great job Barolo! See you again soon! By the way....the wine room is awesome! Reds served at cellar temp not room temp! Imagine!!!!"

  • "We were seated promptly (we had a reservation). The ambiance is nice as well as the decor. The waiter took a while to get our drinks, which were a bit in the pricey side ($14 for a martini). The food did not take long to come out. It was tasty, but I'm not sure that it beats even Carrabbas, a chain Italian, just down the street. If anything will prevent us from coming back, it would be the noise level. The bread service was tasty."

  • "The owners have done a really great job of completely renovating the iconic San Genaro space in Crystal Tree plaza. There are still some kinks to get out, nothing major. This restaurant is a great addition to the local dinning scene it North Palm Beach. I will try it again ."

  • "Front of house is excellent. No kids. Mature service who know what they are doing. Food is excellent. Fresh, authentic Italian served with understated elegance. It simply sets a new high mark in the area for fine Italian cuisine."

  • "We were a party of 3. Arrived at 7:15. The waiter was prompt, and took a drink order. No food for one hour, at 8:15. Spilled red wine on my guest. Offered free dessert, but the room was very loud. We will see if they last. Need faster service. The food was tasty."

  • "So happy that Barolo opened in palm beach gardens. I had two meals so far and they did not disappoint. Service can be a bit slow at times but it's hard to be upset as the wait staff so kind and professional. I wish the acoustics were better. It is VERY noisy in the restaurant."

  • "My husband and I live on Singer Island and decided to try Barolo and we were not disappointed. The food was great, the energy was fun and the service was excellent. A must go to!!!"

  • "The noise level was uncomfortably high. The quietest room in the place was probably the bar. Hopefully sound absorbing panels can be installed to correct the problem. Food is great but if you want to dine and talk, not a good pick."

  • "Our Open Table request for a quiet table was honored. The service was personable, friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and well prepared. We will definitely go back"

  • "Great new restaurant, with both excellent food and impeccable service"

  • "Service was exceptional. We had 5 courses to sample: everything was fresh and homemade, the eggplant antipasto is notable as was the beet salad. Gnocchi was the best we've had in Pb county! Salmon entree was seasoned well but the fish was over cooked beyond my requested temp. However, the restaurant was beyond gracious and that experience alone would bring me back out of appreciation for their efforts. Desert was divine, best red velvet cake I've ever had. Wine list is ample & includes several of my favorite Italian gems while being moderately priced for this level of restaurant. Ambiance nice, a little noisy the decor was beautiful & looked like a tasteful, multi-million dollar renovation. We will return soon. A new neighborhood gem!"

  • "With a seemingly endless array of eateries in this area, we are always willing to try something new. Barolo recently opened and has been well received once early issues were resolved. Decor is upscale and crisp. Our server was knowledgeable and congenial. I would say the offerings are perhaps northern Italian. Generous portions, deliciously prepared. Expect a fine dining experience at Barolo!"

  • "the restaurant is new, and they are having a problem getting the dinners out in a timely fashion. I had to send my dinner back-it was dry and the portion was unreasonably small on a large plate. I called the next day to complain, and they said they are having a lot of trouble with preparing that dish."

  • "Food is delicious, but room is very noisy...hard to talk at the table."

  • "From the moment we walked in to this local 'newbie' you can see that a lot of effort went into making Barolo Ristorante special! The bar is incredible and as someone who appreciates wine served at the proper temperature, this place has a walk in climate controlled 'vault' with windows on the bar and dining room sides which create a visual statement to the inventory they have invested in. Service was excellent and the food was well done and presented in a way that was pleasing to the eye!!! Great job Barolo!!!! We will see you again! Soon!!!"

  • "My wife and I just had dinner at this newly opened restaurant again on Friday evening. This was our 3rd visit since its opening 3 weeks ago and we have to say that the service and food is surprisingly excellent for a new restaurant. This place seems like it has been open for much longer. The maitre'd Massimo was very engaging as well as the staff in general and we enjoyed the experience from beginning to end! We look forward to the nightly specials that we are told begin this week!!!"

  • "Great experience at this newly opened North Palm Beach location. My wife and I met another couple there for a drink at the bar...WOW!!! You must see this one! We were seated at our table and promptly attended to by Bob who along with another server made sure that everything was perfect! Antipasto platter app was very good, pastas were excellent (Pasta Limone!!) and the fish was expertyly prepared. The Lobster Ravioli special was very good as well! Finished up with a couple shared desserts and a drink at the bar. Looking forward to another trip to Barolo Ristorante!!!!"

  • "New restaurant currently undergoing soft opening. So far better than so good. There is exquisite attention to detail on the part of management. The food is top notch both in quality of the ingredients and in preparation. This is not a restaurant for exotic food, and, for me, that's a good thing. The usual suspects one would find at an Italian restaurant (northern) are on the menu. Virtually everything is made from scratch. The recipes developed have truly hit the mark. The wine list is moderately extensive and most any oenophile should be pleased. The restaurant is not inexpensive but is really very good value. Portions are just right and many dishes lend themselves to sharing Two weeks post opening and already building return patrons."

  • "My wife and I have, in a short period of time, come to really like this restaurant. Only open for a couple of weeks, I am surre that with their attention to detail that this 'local gem' will become more and more local's favorite. The pasta is house made and great along with my favorite, the Veal Chop!!!!"

  • "Extremely well trained staff. The Buffalo Mozzarella is the best I have ever ate. Do not miss out on their home made meatballs. Everything here is cooked to order and all home made. You will not be disappointed. The Manager Anthony Cammarano will make you feel at home and keep you coming back for more."

  • "The calamari portion was extremely small. The snapper marechiara had too little snapper along with too much shrimp. No Bronzino on the menu. However the food has a good flavor. I would give them another try as they have only been open a few weeks. The service although a bit slow is very friendly."

  • "This restaurant is new so we wanted to try it before we brought friends. The decor is sleek and bright, very contemporary. It was packed on this Saturday. The noise level, just from other's voices, was so loud it was hard to hear. The menu is what you would expect from a high end Italian restaurant. The food was very good. My husband had the bolognese as a first course and he said it was excellent. The prices were on the high side. Much more what you would expect in Palm Beach or New York. In fact, the decor and noise, as well as the bill, made me think I was in NY, not North Palm. If you like that, you will love this place. As for me, I will try it again off-season and on an early weekday night."

The staff was attentive and knowledgeable and the veal chop was excellent. She had the salmon which with risotto was also perpared exquisitly. Great job Barolo Ristorante! You will see us again...soon!"

  • "Brand new; trying hard to impress; pricey, for small portions. Food was tasty; service excellent but a little overboard."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Entree's of pork and chicken where bland and tasteless, the salad of a few mixed greens and half unripen plum tomatoes was disappointing. Unfortunatly some Florida restaurant owners interpretation of Fine Dining consists of table cloths, ambiance, and high price menus, the food doesn't seem to take precedence."

  • "1. Ordered a call brand cocktail 1st got a chipped glass, 2nd got a new glass but not the brand ordered, 3rd order another brand and got half a drink. Is it me? 2. Many wait staff yet service was very slow. Our waiter needs training. 3. Ordered veal with porcini mushrooms and pasta with porcini and truffle oil. Waiter told us the mushrooms were not dehydrated. He stated they were fresh porcini but not from Italy. The veal mushrooms were common buttons and the pasta mushrooms were not porcini and not a whiff of truffles. Very disappointing. 4. Manager/owner passed our table many times checking on surrounding tables but avoided speaking to us. He knew there were issues but did not try and make things better. Again, disappointing."
