  • "What a surprise! In our own backyard! We recently received a Grand Opening mailer from Barolo Ristorante and decided to check it out. We had no idea they were open but glad they are. Food, Service and Atmosphere was very, very good. The hostess, maitre d' and general manager were all so accomodating and appreciative of our visit. WOW! Great feeling that quite frankly is very uncommon these days and great night out. We will be back!!!"

Barolo Ristorante seems to have it figured out!! The Wine Room is spectacular! Bill Habansky, the owner, introduced himself and offered to show it to us. He has put a lot into this 'up and comer' and it shows! Good luck Barolo, we will see you again soon!"

  • "One of the best experiences I have had in the Palm Beaches. From start to finish the service, the food was phenomenal. Anthony the GM has put together a first class operation with food and staff. For the wine enthusiast they have a 1600 bottle collection. I read the reviews about the noise level and Anthony showed me the acoustics they put on the wall to dampen the echo. I think the noise level is perfect now with just enough chatter to make the place lively and feel like you are in a real cafe in Italy. If you are looking for romantic dinner that is quiet this isn't the place. My only concern about this place is when the high season starts it will be hard to get a reservation. Good job Anthony!"

  • "We are always looking of a good Italian restaurant close to home and were hopeful that this would be a find. The hostess, waitstaff, and valet could not have been more friendly and attentive. The bar is gorgeous and in comparison the decor in restaurant was weak. The acoustics were not great, it was half full but very noisy. My husband and I shared fried calamari- excellent, I had an appetizer for dinner, 2 pistachio crusted prawns on top of a goat cheese filled portobello mushroom cap- yummy, my husband had scampi over pasta- ordinary, tartufo dessert- good, we had 3 glasses of wine between the 2 of us- the bill including tip was $140, too expensive. Would we go back? Not sure...."

  • "We began the dinner with a nice quiet table in the front of the restaurant .Our server was the most adorable and lovely lady one could ask for. She told us the specials and took our drink order. Perfect! The drinks, bread and salads, appetizers all arrived and were delicious. The antipasti was fabulous as well as the beet salad and Cesar. Then the main dishes. Most were not very good. One was a pounded chicken Milanese which was so thin and breaded, our friend did not eat it, another dinner option included spinach on the menu but came with mixed veggies. My pasta special had bits of overcooked lobster pieces and 2 shrimp. None of the main courses were particularly good. With such a great beginning we were sad the rest was not up to par."

  • "I was looking forward to going here for the first time based on some of the raving reviews regarding the food. We were a party of 4 and not one of us finished our meals. The food was bland at best. Worst Caesar salad I have ever had. the Brodetto had no flavor and the veal scaloppini's sauce tasted like it came from a packet. Salmon was cooked fine, but risotto, again, was flavorless. As many others have described, the service was slow and poor and it is just way too loud. Great bar with literally no one it in. Definitely our last time here."

  • "Our second time in two months. Knowledgeable, attentive service, & flavorful food that takes us back to Italy. Bolognese sauce--rich but not heavy. Three triple lamb chops with a red wine au jus--scrumptious. Sole Francese--sauce is light, not overpowering. No problem here to substitute different vegetables if you like for the accompaniments. Entire staff, from the minute you walk in, seem genuinely interested in making sure you have a wonderful dining experience. Modern, clean-lined, dark wood atmosphere with colorful paintings. Both times, ate fairly early (6-8 pm)--noise has never been an issue for us. Valet parking, or plenty of parking in the adjacent shopping center. We will certainly be back often."

  • "Our 1st dining was very good when they first opened: veal was excellent, salmon excellent, but noticeably noisy. 2nd dining (with friends) my veal was as good as before but salmon was a little dry and conversation was nearly impossible due to the noise (they were getting an acoustic guy to evaluate). This was our 3 dining: veal was not flavorful, sole Franchise was bad in both the texture (kind of soggy) of the fish and flavorless. Noise issue remained. Probably won't be back. "

  • "Great new restaurant in the Crystal Tree Plaza! The bar is absolutely beautiful and quite busy. We had a drink while waiting for our friends to arrive. The drinks were generous pours although expensive. We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly. Our waiter, Rob was attentive and wonderful. He decanted our wine and brought extra dipping oil when ours ran out. The oil was delicious as was the lentils and bread. My husband ordered the Salmon special. I had a pasta dish as did my friend. Her husband had a grilled steak. We all were quite pleased with our meals. The bill was very expensive for 4 people at $300 although we did have 2 bottles of wine with dinner. We will be back!"

  • "FOOD - FABULOUS! SERVICE ACCEPTABLE AFTER WE JOGGED THE WAITER WE WERE THERE. THE NOISE WAS UNBEARABLE. WE WERE ASSURED THEY WERE WORKING ON IT AND IT WOULD BE CORRECTED WITHIN A FEW WEEKS. THE TABLES ARE SO CLOSE AND WITH THE NOISE LEVEL IT DID NOT MAKE FOR A COMFORTABLE EVENING. MAY TRY IT AGAIN IN A MONTH OR SO AS THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY GREAT.   • "We were seated promptly (we had a reservation). The ambiance is nice as well as the decor. The waiter took a while to get our drinks, which were a bit in the pricey side ($14 for a martini). The food did not take long to come out. It was tasty, but I'm not sure that it beats even Carrabbas, a chain Italian, just down the street. If anything will prevent us from coming back, it would be the noise level. The bread service was tasty."

  • "Service was exceptional. We had 5 courses to sample: everything was fresh and homemade, the eggplant antipasto is notable as was the beet salad. Gnocchi was the best we've had in Pb county! Salmon entree was seasoned well but the fish was over cooked beyond my requested temp. However, the restaurant was beyond gracious and that experience alone would bring me back out of appreciation for their efforts. Desert was divine, best red velvet cake I've ever had. Wine list is ample & includes several of my favorite Italian gems while being moderately priced for this level of restaurant. Ambiance nice, a little noisy the decor was beautiful & looked like a tasteful, multi-million dollar renovation. We will return soon. A new neighborhood gem!"

Decor is upscale and crisp. Our server was knowledgeable and congenial. I would say the offerings are perhaps northern Italian. Generous portions, deliciously prepared. Expect a fine dining experience at Barolo!"

  • "the restaurant is new, and they are having a problem getting the dinners out in a timely fashion. I had to send my dinner back-it was dry and the portion was unreasonably small on a large plate. I called the next day to complain, and they said they are having a lot of trouble with preparing that dish."
