Every meal should start with their Grand Marnier prawns - and the rest will follow and is likely to be just as great! A menu with the perfect amount of selections - and they encourage substitutions! I ordered the lamb - but opted for quinoa instead of the pasta - Delicious! And the pecan pie to finish it off. Can't wait to return....

We were staying at the beautiful Willow's Lodge for the weekend and I had gotten a "sip and savor" food & wine package, so we had a $200 credit to the Barking Frog. I had let the Lodge know it was my boyfriend's birthday, and they must have given the Barking Frog the heads up as well, and the whole staff was so inviting and friendly, wishing my boyfriend Happy Birthday multiple times. We had a great dinner -- his lamb was melt-in-your-mouth and my ahi tuna was cooked to perfection. Other highlights were the wagyu carpaccio and the creme brulee, and the Moscow Mules! We'll definitely be back, especially the next time we stay at Willow's!

I have been at The Barking Frog numerous times. The food is the best around. The wine list is excellent and the atmosphere is always relaxed and quiet. You can equally have a business lunch, a romantic dinner or a birthday celebration. One caution: If you like diet-coke bring you own since they only carry diet-pepsi.

This was a fantastic place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our two dinners were wonderful and we were able to eat outside which made it even better. The wine list is fantastic and the food absolutely wonderful. Had dinner there two nights in a row and breakfat brunch on Sunday morning.

The waiter, Michael, provided us with excellent service. His input in what kind of wine to choose was welcome and appreciated. My sister & her husband had a wonderful time celebrating her birthday. Everyone was professional, friendly and kind. I had a last minute addition to our party and the hostess was very kind in including him in our reservation. That was greatly appreciated it. The food was delicious.

Although the lunch menu appears merely interesting, e.g., a Reuben sandwich, the preparations are outstanding. Mussels, scallops, salads, the Reuben, whatever, were uniquely flavored. In fact the emphasis is on flavor although the presentation wasn't half bad as well. One is tempted to explore the entire lunch menu and come back for dinner. Which I'm sure we will do. Our wait persons were well versed on the nuances of the dishes and also had good recommendations from the wine list.

Exquisite wagyu carpaccio had the most amazing calamansi preserve to give it a zing! A tasty treat of pear and roasted nuts made our palettes happy between courses. He had the lamb, which is the best I've tasted in decades... or ever? I had the scallops, perfectly prepared, sweet, beautifully presented. This is food with thought, creativity, careful attention to ingredients, and passion. Our server was delightful and tolerated my date's teasing and goofiness. I can't imagine a lovelier meal.

We came here before a wedding at 1:00 on a Sunday. We were a party of 8 and were seated 15 minutes after or reservation time. The restaurant was about 1/3 full. The food was outstanding ad always, I had the shrimp appetizer as an entree and we had two orders of beignets which was plenty for all of us, very delicious. others had a delicious hamburger. We found everything wonderful including our busboy but the server really should find another line of work. She was in attentive and down right rude. I find we generally experience this if we have a group larger than 6 because the server will put on an 18-20% tip regardless which is a practice that needs to stop if it means larger tables get terrible service.

My wife and I regularly try to catch brunch at Barking Frog in the summer when the patio is open. The ambiance is great with the fountain - which also helps drown out other conversations and gives the feeling of privacy. Service at Barking Frog is always excellent. On this last visit we had the omelet of the day - which includes chicken, pesto and smoked mozzarella - so good!

Dinner was wonderful. Service was fabulous. It's moderately expensive, and I find the interior lacks a certain intimacy. But over all, very enjoyable. Breakfast, not so much. Had issues getting seated. Hostess seemed scattered. Food, over cooked, dry and too many potatoes as filler. Stick with coffee and the beignets.

My wife and I we're hoping for a nice romantic anniversary. Instead it was disappointing. Extremely loud due to drunk patrons and the T- bone was smothered with some sort of overpowering sauce. We ordered the creme brule for dessert it was brutal. Odd flavor and runny. I will say the server was very helpful and pleasant.

I ordered an appetizer, the halibut entree, and a half bottle of wine. When the halibut arrived, the top half was cooked to perfection, but the bottom half was nearly raw. I pointed this out to the waiter who observed that yes, it was raw and said this should never happen. He promptly took the dish away to have a new one prepared. The manager came over (without my prompting) and apologized. He also said he was taking the half bottle of wine off my bill. Wow! Unfortunate that the dish was ill-prepared, but mistakes happen. This was a very nice recovery.

We've been here quite a few times. On this occasion went there for brunch. The Crab Benedict was great! The Croque Madame was underwhelming -- hardly any cheese on it. A sandwich should have two slices of bread not one. We barely saw our server and the place was not busy. The Barking Frog just doesn't seem special and unique anymore.

Just had flank steak salads. One had lots of blue cheese crumbles on top, the other didn't and a quick search through the salad didn't show any either, so sent it back. We could overhear the chef giving the server "attitude" about "it's inside" and she defended us with "but the other one has lots on top so they want some on this one too". We got it back nicely dressed with blue cheese. It was delicious.

I chose the Barking Frog for my boyfriend's 50th birthday dinner. It was perfect. We sat outside, which was quiet and romantic. The service was friendly and attentive, but not overly so. In the absence of the sommelier the night we were there, our waiter guided us through the extensive wine list to find something local, good, and in our price range. Our meals were delicious and of a good portion size. We ordered one dessert to share between us--the creme brulee--and they wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate on the plate, which was a nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the experience at Barking Frog and will go back in a heartbeat the next time we're in Woodinville.

The experience was a bit of a mixed bag. We dined outdoors and when it got dark we could not see the food. Candles were eventually brought out at the end of our meal. Some of the food was great (duck) and some was not cooked properly (tenderloin was Blue one half well done the other). I was surprised that several menu items were unavailable. Maybe the solution is to go for dinner at seniors hour at 5pm instead of a mainstream time of 7pm.

My wife and I have been going to the Barking Frog every year since we got married, for our anniversary. The food and staff are great and ambiance is memorable. I would say the one downside this year, was the rowdiness of one of the tables the night we went. It was a group of about six woman obviously had too much to drink. One of which that passed out at the table halfway through our meal. Like I said it not clear how they got so intoxicated but there foul language and loud conversation did put a bit of a damper on the evening. I will definitely be back with my wife next year and hopefully these woman find a more suitable establishment to frequent. Thanks for everything and the cardamom crème brûlée was to die for.... So good!

The restaurant's ambience and service were very good. However, both my husband's and my over-medium eggs were too runny (even the whites were runny) and the potatoes were dry on the outside and mushy on the inside. I assumed that for the price, over $15 for breakfast, that the quality would be better. The wait staff was very attentive, though. The coffee was also good. We did not have the chance to communicate the dissatisfaction with the eggs because we were there for a business meeting. It was not worth it to interrupt the meeting. This was our first time at this restaurant. We are local and would love to give it a second chance, but I cannot imagine doing so for the price tag.

The food here is legendary, and the wait staff know their menu, and wines to perfection! We were able to share plates with no additional charges, and were encouraged to do so, and informed which items were suitable for sharing. This is a well run establishment, with excellent quality food, presented beautifully, with wonderful service throughout.

Some items were great but a few weren't. The pork chop sounded great but wasn't appealing when I finally tried it. Waiter didn't volunteer to have it taken off the bill which was surprising for this type of venue. Scallops and mussels were phenomenal. Ambience was very nice until a boisterous party of four was seated near us. Potatoes were the size of marbles and had no taste - I've had better roasted potatoes at inexpensive casual venues. I'll go back but only have the mussels and scallops.

This restaurant came highly recommended to me by a friend. I was very excited to experience it and made the reservation far ahead of time. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere was nice....we were able to dine outside rather than the two seater first offered next to another couple. The food was just so so. We were both disappointed. For the price we expected phenomenal. I probably would not choose it again and would only recommend with full explanation of our experience.

Went there for brunch recently on a Sunday late morning. The food was okay not great. Ther service was poor and for no apparent reason. They were not busy and appeared to be staffed properly, and our waitress was pleasant, but service was sporadic at best. Made a reservation and had to wait ten minutes for our table even though the place was half full, had to flag down someone repeatedly for coffee and water refills, the food took forever in arriving once we ordered, and my Mom's coffee cup was dirty and we had to ask it be replaced with a clean cup. The table that was visited by the property general manager seemed to get a lot of attention. The rest of us not so much. Nice location but this was not worth the hype.
