The experience was a bit of a mixed bag. We dined outdoors and when it got dark we could not see the food. Candles were eventually brought out at the end of our meal. Some of the food was great (duck) and some was not cooked properly (tenderloin was Blue one half well done the other). I was surprised that several menu items were unavailable. Maybe the solution is to go for dinner at seniors hour at 5pm instead of a mainstream time of 7pm.

My wife and I have been going to the Barking Frog every year since we got married, for our anniversary. The food and staff are great and ambiance is memorable. I would say the one downside this year, was the rowdiness of one of the tables the night we went. It was a group of about six woman obviously had too much to drink. One of which that passed out at the table halfway through our meal. Like I said it not clear how they got so intoxicated but there foul language and loud conversation did put a bit of a damper on the evening. I will definitely be back with my wife next year and hopefully these woman find a more suitable establishment to frequent. Thanks for everything and the cardamom crème brûlée was to die for.... So good!

The restaurant's ambience and service were very good. However, both my husband's and my over-medium eggs were too runny (even the whites were runny) and the potatoes were dry on the outside and mushy on the inside. I assumed that for the price, over $15 for breakfast, that the quality would be better. The wait staff was very attentive, though. The coffee was also good. We did not have the chance to communicate the dissatisfaction with the eggs because we were there for a business meeting. It was not worth it to interrupt the meeting. This was our first time at this restaurant. We are local and would love to give it a second chance, but I cannot imagine doing so for the price tag.

Across from Chateau Ste Michelle, winery this is a great place for dinner before a show at the winery. A nice selection of wines, interesting menu and excellent service. The foie gras was outstanding, as were the lamb and halibut entrees.

The food here is legendary, and the wait staff know their menu, and wines to perfection! We were able to share plates with no additional charges, and were encouraged to do so, and informed which items were suitable for sharing. If the staff know in advance that it is a special occasion, they will go out of their way to make it even more special. This is a well run establishment, with excellent quality food, presented beautifully, with wonderful service throughout.

Some items were great but a few weren't. The pork chop sounded great but wasn't appealing when I finally tried it. Waiter didn't volunteer to have it taken off the bill which was surprising for this type of venue. Scallops and mussels were phenomenal. Ambience was very nice until a boisterous party of four was seated near us. Potatoes were the size of marbles and had no taste - I've had better roasted potatoes at inexpensive casual venues. I'll go back but only have the mussels and scallops.

This restaurant came highly recommended to me by a friend. I was very excited to experience it and made the reservation far ahead of time. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere was nice....we were able to dine outside rather than the two seater first offered next to another couple. The food was just so so. We were both disappointed. For the price we expected phenomenal. I probably would not choose it again and would only recommend with full explanation of our experience.

Went there for brunch recently on a Sunday late morning. The food was okay not great. Ther service was poor and for no apparent reason. They were not busy and appeared to be staffed properly, and our waitress was pleasant, but service was sporadic at best. Made a reservation and had to wait ten minutes for our table even though the place was half full, had to flag down someone repeatedly for coffee and water refills, the food took forever in arriving once we ordered, and my Mom's coffee cup was dirty and we had to ask it be replaced with a clean cup. The table that was visited by the property general manager seemed to get a lot of attention. The rest of us not so much. Nice location but this was not worth the hype.

We have eaten here a couple of times and while the service is always a little slow thistime it was horrendous. The waitress kept passing our table and igoring us. The manager finally came over w/bread and water. The waitress then stopped by and said she would be with us in a minute but didnt for the next 15 until the manager came by again to see if we wanted more bread! We said we'd wanted to order. 25 min later we asked him where the food was it was another 10 min for the entre salads but the lamb burgers for the others didn't show up for 15 min after that!Tthe manager said he would comp us. The manager said a large party came in late,There was a favorite place when but it will be a long time before we go here again,

We stayed at the hotel, and so we had our children with us. For dinner it is not kid friendly. The waitress Kristen was actually rude. She did not offer us a complimentary dish like the couple without children. She then acted shocked to find out we were staying at the hotel. We went to the Barking Frog and were pleased to be seated outside. We were served an amuse bouche which was a nice touch, but the overall experience left us flat. The service was slow and had several issues: It took a while for us to get bread at the table, this was followed by slow delivery of our drinks. After ordering our meal and waiting a while for it to be delivered the wrong dish was served to my wife. We decided to stick around for dessert and were served a dish with a hair in it. We were happy the manager stopped by to personally apologize but his method of resolving the issue was to simply give his business card and offer when we come in next time to ask him for a free appetizer. We do not expect there will be a next time.

Not really impressed. The food was good, but not great. I ordered the crab benedict, and it is something I could have gotten at Denny's. The service was "meh". We brought our daughter, and the server seemed put out when she had to get other things....like ranch sauce, or not nut bread, and it was rather slow. Probably would have been a good pace for romantic dining in the evening, but not so much with a kid for brunch.

When we first arrived in the morning to use the outdoor dining, we told the waitress we would like that table which has an umbrella, but she said no, to sit at this one which has no umbrella and in direct sun, as it needs to be cleared off and cleaned off from the previous people that had just left after eating. This tells us she don't want to clear the table off for us. We had very poor service from her, and when she came by once to ask how the food is, we told her the food that consist of eggs, ham and potatoes were way too dry and overcooked (The Mt. Rainer Breakfast). She said oh and just left and did not come back until bringing the receipt to be paid. We ate the best dinner there the night before and had the best service by Michael.

We were warmly welcomed and the meals that our server recommended were AMAZING!!! We each enjoyed the wonderfully refreshing chilled cucumber soup & the fish cheviche tacos...OH, MY! And the desserts were simply to die for...with imaginative blends of ingredients that made for an absolutely unique and beautiful ending to our time there. Loved the whole experience!!!

Overall I enjoyed our lunch/brunch but the service was very slow, we did not get our bread until after we asked what others were being served after our main courses arrived. Also, I was not expecting a brunch only menu at 1pm on a Saturday and don't recall seeing it posted on their website that it was brunch time when we showed up. I was looking forward to the regular lunch menu not the brunch menu with eggs at 1pm. It was also very loud in the restaurant and hard to talk and listen at the table.

My wife and I have been going to the Barking Frog for our anniversary for many years and we have never been disappointed. I look forward to having their Grand Marnier prawn appetizer and often comment that I should just order two of them and treat it as my entree; however, you also cannot pass up their scallops! The wine selection is great and the service is excellent. The ambiance is very relaxed but you can feel comfortable in casual or formal attire. We will definitely continue to recommend this restaurant to everyone and will be returning again soon for at least a glass of wine and an appetizer!

Went to barking frog for breakfast. Had reservations but were told no room outside. Then we were put at a table for 6 even though there were only 6 of us and even though there was a table for 4 close by. Our friends were vegan and menu was not conducive to vegan or vegetarian. Waitress seemed put out by having to adjust orders to be vegan and vegetarian even though it mainly just required leaving some ingredients out. Took a LONG time to get order. Price $74.00 for 4 people (no alcohol). Unhappy customer

We came here for our sixth year wedding anniversary. Our waitress was awful rushed us through the entire dinner and didn't explain anything on the menu. I tried to ask her several questions about the entrees but she did not describe the dishes and was not helpful.my husband had the beef tenderloin and loved it. I had the halibut the meat was delicious but was served on top of a broth that was not good and took away from the fish. We had the shrimp appetizer and that was delicious. Basically I think it is a good restaurant we were just unlucky to have a bad waitress. With drinks an appetizer, salad and entrees we were in and out in and hour 15 minutes and that was after I pushed her away twice saying we were not ready to order.

Sorry, but this restaurant is way over rated. Waited at least 10 minutes for our waiter to acknowledge us after we first sat down, and the place was barely busy. Somewhat limited menu. Tried 4 or 5 different items, none of which I would recommend. Don't waste your money on the $50 steak - totally not worth it. You would expect a lot more for these prices. No, definitely not going back...
