A word from Barca
Barça Tapas Bar and Restaurant is a celebration of Barcelona and it's vibrance, excitement, architectural whimsy and sense of style. Designed and decorated by Sumessh Menon, the Dining Room at Barça is an homage to the bright and colorful street art and architectural whimsy that Barcelona is famous for. A banquette lined in lush leather and cow hide, illuminated with filament bulbs tucked inside moorish inspired wicker baskets, adds a sense of sophistication and fun to the colorful space.

We serve inventive food and beverage in a vibrant room that honors both the new traditions of modern Spanish cuisine and the techniques and spices of Spain's ancient Berber and Arab roots.

Come feel the excitement!

Got a last minute reservation and was seated immediately. Wait staff was great. The oysters were small but tasty. The meat board was fantastic. The Brussels sproats were great and the PAELLA VALENCIANA was perfect. Can't wait to go back!

Although there are only 2 desserts on the menu they are both out of this world - shouldn't miss them! And the decor is adorable.

A great Tapas/Paella restaurant fit for a romantic date or a group of friends out on the town. The food was excellent though a tad bit overpriced. The ambiance was spectacular. There nothing quite like stepping into a restaurant and feeling you have just arrived at a vacation destination. There service was impeccable;but, some New Yorkers may find it a bit slow. The feel was more European, more relaxed. I will be dining here again.

  • Want tapas n paella while in NYC?

Given that this restaurant was opened only around 2 months, I decided to check it out. The tapas were so tasty of course, but we reserved our tummy for that very paella that many folks mentioned (especially for those who went to Spain.) Now, I have never been in Spain before, but since I am in NYC so why not give it a shot? It was very fulfilling, and the taste of the rice, seafood, meat... was "clean." (Pardon me I cannot find the correct word to describe.) Still not enough, then we ordered a few more tapas. That fried potato wedges (patatas something) got us filled just in time. Perfect.

This is a great place to get tapas, especially during happy hour (3 for 30) the food was delicious and the prices were beyond reasonable. A cute soho restaurant I definitely recommend!

I went with a party of 4 and we had about 9 different plates including the Ceviche and desert. Each one brought a unique flavor to the table; equally as good. The Ceviche was some of the best I have ever had. It's a fun atmosphere for a group or a date.

My wife and I went for brunch with the $29 pulsd bottomless brunch certificate as well. While yes, the portions are not huge, the good was very tasty. My short rib sandwich was rich and flavorful and my wife's chorizo and cheese tortilla was like a delicious thick Omlette. Both were served with delicious grilled crostini brushed with olive oil. We had more than enough drink in our 90 minutes and were allowed to switch between three different kinds of sangria and a yummy blood orange mimosa. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and we left very satisfied.

The space is nice. That's about it. Bought a pulsd brunch voucher - $29 for 2 with 1 1/2 hours of unlimited drinks. There were 5 choices for brunch. FIVE. And no variety. Not just on the pulsd offer, on the regular menu. Everything else was tapas. Food portions were ridiculously small. I ordered the Spanish tortilla. Not what I got. Small square of potato like pudding with 3 burnt crostini. Friend's short rib sandwich was hard to find on the plate. Food was tasteless as was sangria. Service annoying. Felt like we were on an hourglass as far as unlimited cocktails were concerned. And then we were handed an itemized bill for $170 and told we just had to pay the tax with the certificate. Are you kidding? We left and went for pizza.

  • What a disappointment ...

Plan B was one of our favorite tapas restaurants. We loved the food and the service. We wanted to go back and to our surprise the restaurant had a new name, but we didn't know if it was under new management. Boy were we disappointed when we walked in and noticed the menu was different. I imagine there's new management and new chef. We really did not like it. Food just ok, and the staff was inattentive. No one came to check on us after we got our food, or to see if we wanted to order more food or drinks. We had to end up waving down the waitress in order to get our check. All in all, very disappointing. We are so sad Plan B is gone :-(

Tapas; an extremely expensive way to get as little food as possible. Don't get me wrong, I love tapas. But Barca, just recently changed names from Plan B (??), is clearly an example of poor thinking. Bit of advice for the customer, don't go. Bit of advice for Barca, if you want to be greedy, open a diner.
