Barbuzzo Restaurantjust delicious!I was at a conference at the convention center and took out of town friends to Barbuzzo for lunch. We had antipasti platters and a few pizzas. It was just delicious. My friends were from San Francisco, a great restaurant town, and they loved Barbuzzo. I'll be back!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLunchSome of the best food (pizza especially) in Philly; little bit crowded / noisy for lunch as I had selected Barbuzzo for a lunch meeting. Better for social / casual purposes.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh energy with very goodHigh energy with very good food. Save room for the budino - layers of rich deliciousness.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and fun time withGreat food and fun time with friends. Excellent service.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, sit at the counterGreat food, sit at the counter where they cook. The chefs are great and fun to watch.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous in the VillageSecond time in 2 weeks that I lunched at Barbuzzo! Each time the food was delicious & the atmosphere vibrant! A couple of sidewalk tables this week (now that the weather is finally warm)...looked very cozy out there! Leave room for the famous budino dessert...it's heaven in a mason jar! Planning a Friday afternoon soon...outside table...sipping sangria...perfect end to the workweek--Can't wait!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic! The food was great, the staff even better. There is a reason why you need reservations!5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMSpace is a little tight butSpace is a little tight but the food is delicious!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAll-around amazingExcellent cocktails, our server knew every detail of the menu, excellent food. The lemon-fava bean arancini were particularly amazing on their spring menu. I also loved the pork ragu pasta and the new hanger steak dish. We had the salted caramel budino for dessert--unbelievably good. Capogiro is right across the street, but you would miss out if you didn't have dessert at Barbuzzo!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMLovelyThis was really a great dining experience. We had the sheep's milk ricotta, the burrata, the grilled octopus, and the tonnarelli nero pasta. I would gladly order any of these dishes again, but I also want to try everything on the menu. The two of us were satisfied with this amount of food, which means this doesn't have to be a terribly expensive place to eat. Next time, though, I won't skip dessert! Can't wait to go back!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat lunch optionStopped in a for a quick lunch, had the Antipasto and one of the pizzas (Taleggio, mushrooms, artichoike). Great service, well worth the visit5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't wait to come back,First time visiting Philadelphia even though live in NJ! Usually go to NYC for good food! Well..barbuzzo has changed that for me! Went with 2 friends to celebrate a birthday. They have a wonderful menu for sharing ! We shared 4 different dishes and each was more memorable then the next! The beet salad with kale was absolutely delicious! What. Wonderful salad for a warm summer day! You have to try the pizza...any pizza...the crust is so flakey and light! Not the heavy pizza drenched in oil! The antipasti salad had a nice variation of foods on it Nd the cheese platter was a great way to finish off our meal before dessert! Oh...try the sangria! So delicious and thirst quenching! Will definitely be back! Service was excellent!5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat ambience, but food is averagegreat ambience, but food is average, especially for the price.

We had a great meal!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExtremely PopularThis is an extremely popular restaurant and so are their sister restaurants. We had a reservations and there was a makeshift line outside for lunch. The staff and food were great, I get the feeling you want to try a a variety of titems they do just becuase its different. The boards are great and wish I had ordered at least one more for the group. In talking to locals they are all very pleased with what they have done for the neighborhood.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food, great service! My husband and I went here for dinner last Friday and it was a fantastic experience. We were running late and had a hard time with parking. We called the restaurant to let them know we'd be late and not only did they hold our reservation, when I arrived my table was ready and waiting for me--LOVE that! Our waitress could NOT have been more accommodating or friendly and the pace was perfect. We had the following to eat: Asparago pizza (UNBELIEVABLY delicious--a must have), Fava & preserved lemon arancini (also incredible-get it!), grilled octopus salad (very good but the pizza & arancini were more impressive), and pappardelle pasta (good, but needed a bit more acidity) and finished w/ the boudino--just as incredible as promised.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMMGMClose to convention center and meetings. Fun atmosphere. Good food.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMamazingBarbuzzo is our regular place.. we eat here always and it doesnt disappoint.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was great, exceptEverything was great, except that the service was only okay: my waiter only grudgingly accommodated my request for a simple substitution for my order (guanciale instead of lardo on my pizza,) and was not especial friendly in general. Because of the great food and atmosphere I would still highly recommend.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAlthough I've been here severalAlthough I've been here several times before, this was my 1st visit for lunch. My husband refuses to eat diner there if the waiter needs to reach over him to attend to the next table. The sangria was amazing, so we would sit at the bar and grab a snack next time.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding service and foodOutstanding service and food - very friendly staff.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMBarbuzzo Highly recommend:Barbuzzo

Always look forward to returning.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMI've been to Barbuzzo previously,I've been to Barbuzzo previously, and am committed to taking friends there for dinner when they visit me in Philly. I have found that dinner is better than lunch, although to get a reservation for dinner (particularly on a Fri or Sat) requires a couple of weeks of advance notice. Service was outstanding -- Cassandra was phenomenal!!!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMuch better than I could make,Much better than I could make, and I like to think I'm a good cook! I loved how the chef cooked with lots of vegetables, and combined ingredients in unusual ways. Wish I had left room for desert!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMI had one of the best mealsI had one of the best meals of my life at Barbuzzo. It is a bit pricey but the food was amazing. I would definitely be going back there for a special occassion.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was the best food thatIt was the best food that me and my gf have ever had! The pizza with shaved asparagus and a truffled egg was absolutely amazing.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's like a MediterraneanIt's like a Mediterranean tapas bar! Wonderful, small plates complete with rich flavors and vibrant colors. And great drinks. A friendly and helpful wait staff.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat stood out most to meWhat stood out most to me during my dining experience was how helpful and friendly the Barbuzzo staff were! Our waitress was fantastic. Very accommodating and always checking on us. Every single thing we ate was an absolute pleasure. Even my coffee was delicious. The stand out hands down was the salted caramel budino. If you're fortunate enough to get a reservation at Barbuzzo you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you skipped out on this dessert. 5 stars. I will absolutely be returning.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Food EVEROk, it was everything I had heard and more. Barbuzzo really lives up to and exceeds its reputation. Everything I had was absolutely delicious! I haven't had food this good at a restaurant in a long time. I will definitely be back again ... and again!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBarbuzzo is worth the hype...Barbuzzo is worth the hype... Had a 7:00 reservation and sat at 7:00- they had our table for 4 waiting for us and we didn't have to wait one single minute. The food, as usual was incredible. I recommend the lardo pizza, we got it on a whim and it was DELICIOUS! I also really loved the butternut arancini, octopus salad, aspargo pizza, roasted beet salad sheeps milk ricotta, and the stuffed meatballs.. Oops!! I just listed everything we ordered! Don't forget to get the salted caramel budino.. Once again- bar buzzy was incredible!!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI had lunch with a friendI had lunch with a friend last week at Barbuzzo, and we both enjoyed it. The food is wonderful, and the service is great. Space is a little tight, and the ambience a little loud, but the food makes it worth those tiny struggles. I have never been there for dinner, but I think it would be a nice date place.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNewbieI love the atmosphere and the vibe is chilled but it can get noisy. The food was outstanding. Our waiter, Jack, was wonderful as it was our first time and all of his recommendations were delicious especially the Sangria. I will definitely come back and have recommended Barbuzzo to my friends and colleagues.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA Pleasant LunchI stopped for lunch at Barbuzzo before catching a flight back home. The weather was warm and sunny that afternoon, following a long winter, and it was great to sit outside and take in the sidewalk traffic on 13th. I had a steak sandwich for lunch, which was delicious, albeit a tad too thick, but that is more about my preference than about the steak, itself. I like that they serve beer and wine rather than being a byob. If I'm in the area again, I would not hesitate to come back for lunch or dinner.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMNot like the others...in a god way!Wow! First time there and I was totally impressed with the food ingredients, selections, service and well everything. They even had a couple of my snobby IPA beers! If you're looking for something different than the usual city Italian, Asian, Steakhouse scene go to Barbuzzo. Might want to take a food dictionary b/c you've probably not heard of many ingredients they use; but fear not, the wait staff is very knowledgeable and pleasant. I really liked the small plate system too--that way you can appreciate many different dishes, share them with friends and not get too full on 1 or 2 items. Everything is under $20. This is one great place!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat date restaurant. TheGreat date restaurant. The food was exceptional and the service was first rate. An absolute neighborhood gem. Try the lardo pizza and pork popcorn. Can't wait to go back again when I visit philly.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was unique and delicious,The food was unique and delicious, especially the sheep's milk ricotta appetizer. Our waitress was friendly, which makes for a positive dining experience. Really, the only downside was that the tables are so close together, but that is the case in the city, and it can't be helped.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe will go back!Being from Wilmington, I wanted to take my girlfriend for a fun birthday lunch in Philly. My daughter had been to Barbuzzo for dinner, loved the food, and recommended it to me. We sat at a sunny table by the window, had a delicious Antipasti plate with an ample variety of wonderful flavors, a very nice glass if wine and were happy as clams. Our waiter was very courteous and helpful, and our bill was reasonable. The location was perfect for walking around and doing a little shopping afterwards. We parked a half block away on the street, which was very convenient. We are looking forward to going back again soon.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great experience! We had a great experience! First time there but cannot wait to go back. Our server, Cassandra, was wonderful.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMwe love Barbuzzo and willwe love Barbuzzo and will be coming back very soon. Sometimes you have to get reservations far in advance but its worth it. It is our go to date night when we have time to plan.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderfulI highly recommend the beet salad; the pistachio pesto and goat cheese is a perfect combo! The food is always delicious and beautifully plated. And the salted caramel budino for dessert is the best dessert in the city (not exaggerating.) The restaurant has a very pleasant, slightly rustic atmosphere, giving the place a casual yet classy feel. A true neighborhood gem!4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful dinner! Flavorful...delicWonderful dinner! Flavorful...delicious! Felt a bit rushed through dinner, but otherwise great service.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent menu! Small platesExcellent menu! Small plates were wonderful for sharing and tasting several plates. Everything was delicious, unique and so very fresh. My new favorite restaurant!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMJust delicious. I went forJust delicious. I went for lunch and had a great meal. I highly recommend the Chef's Bar antipasti. I will defintiely be back for dinner and to expore their beverage list!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMVery hip, cool, place to be.Very hip, cool, place to be. Service was excellent. While the table next to us raved about every dish and we ate many of the same I thought the food was well prepared but average. Bone marrow and smoked pork tenderloin were the standouts for me.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMCramped noisy slice of food heavenIt's hard to get a table at this 13th Street spot. It's very cramped and very noisy. And all that faded away by the third bite of our Sheep's Milk Ricotta appetizer. Subsequent small plates exceeded expectations and were prepared to perfection. By 9 p.m., the crowd had eased and couples came in and sat at bar in front of the open cooking area. We're from out-of-town and hope we'll be lucky enough to visit again!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMMuch love from Ohio!!My boyfriend and I with two of our friends were in town for the weekend visiting from Ohio. My coworker, originally from Philly, recommended your place as a must go to. We are both managers in the business which makes us foodies. This is her favorite restaurant, so I couldn't wait to try. Let me just say, she couldn't have been more right! Our server and all the staff were very accommodating and friendly. He was great with offering suggestions, and we all loved the food!! The place is truly a gem!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
