Bar Crudo - Divisadero StGreat food... Questionable service.I love Bar Crudo and come quite often. The food is incredible but a few times I have felt the host used some questionable tactics. Most recently I waited an additional 20 minutes after we had arrived for our 8pm reservation. Mean while multiple tables got sat before us. A few weeks ago the host asked if my boyfriend and I "would be done in an hour," since she had a reservation coming in. Rude. The rest of the staff is great but I've been troubled by the 2 hosts a few times now.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMBest lobster beet salad ever!!Best lobster beet salad ever!! Huge beer selection! We went on a Friday night and it was PACKED - luckily we had reservations and were seated immediately. The noise level is high which didn't bother us but it may some people. It actually helped keep our conversation private because the tables are very close (it is a small place). Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. (We did raise the average age a couple decades.) Bar Crudo was even better than I remembered. We slurped down some oysters, went crazy for the arctic char crude, noted the too-few-squid in the squid salad (which was otherwise good), and thoroughly enjoyed the butterfish and mussels from the hot dishes. The ingredients were fresh, and the dishes beautifully presented. Our favorite of the evening was the raw Ono dish. The seafood chowder was rich and flavorful, though perhaps over-bacon'd and slightly more salty than we would have preferred. We took forever and ordered one course at a time, so our adorable waiter eventually lost interest, but the rest of the staff covered our table pretty well.
