Bar Cara is the newest addition to the Bloomfield dining scene. The DePersio Family that opened Fascino in 2003 is back with their second restaurant. Acclaimed chef, Ryan DePersio, is at the helm of this more traditional restaurant with a modern feel. The bar and restaurant was designed by… Cahill Studio and has a very trendy yet comfortable feel. "Looking for a late weeknight dinner and went to Bar Cara on a friend's recommendation. Food was delicious and wonderful, loved the live music (The Koontz were playing in the bar) and the other music selections. Not a lot of others dining at 9 PM on a Tuesday, but I imagine it would get a little more "energetic" with the room full. Very please with our choices of appetizers and dinner. Will definitely return!"

"Picked this restaurant because it was part of Bloomfield's restaurant week. They however they stopped their promotion on thursday. We were naturally a little disappointed. The food was very good and the service was good. I had the Bronzini and it was very tasty. My friend had another fish special that was good as well. I don't think anything blew my socks off but it was very tasty and the service was nice. Reservations seem to be a must because we got there at 5:30 on a Saturday and by 6:30 the place was packed. May be they all came for the same intentions we did. Restaurant Week."

"Love Bar Cara. The food is just great and the service is attentive. Great place to go for a casual meal. Comfortable and delicious. We know we can go here and have a nice meal with a glass of wine or a beer (decent selection) or even a good selection of cocktails."
