We didn't have much time and the server was very accommodating. Giving us suggestions on what would come out quicker. She was prompt with our bill as well. Food is av little pricey, but it does come with a show.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat local place!Food was wonderful, server was great, and the ambiance was really fun - on the night we were there, there was a main painting, people selling art, a live rock band, a woman having her body painted, and some kind of biker party.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMOld is NewThe Bar and Bistro is old downtown refurbished into a nice dining experience, keeping much of the old intact. Loved the area, the food, and the atmosphere.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGet Away from the StripWe were looking for an alternative from the chain or celebrity restaurants at the casinos and/or strip. What a great find! Had a nice bottle of wine and tapas on the patio. It was laid back enjoyment on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMJust a diamond in the rough.Just a diamond in the rough. Easy to get to .. great food ... diverse menu ... music .. outdoor and indoor seating and will definitely be going back with other friends.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThe indoor atmosphere wasThe indoor atmosphere was something to be desired, however the outdoor area was charming, a fire pit, live music. Our party was too large to be able to be seated outdoors and this left us as the only group indoors, so a bit scary. However, our server was very accomodating and the food was fantastic. My spouse is a Vegan and the options were plentiful and very appetizing for a Vegan diner. The rest of our group all found things of interest. The Kobe beef sliders were unbelievable, as were the fish & pork tacos. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, just wish we could have eaten outdoors. I will caution if you are cabbing it to the restaurant make transporation arrangements ahead of time, as we had to wait a very long time for a cab.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMCreative and tasty menu. Cool, full of good vibes & energy.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe came for an early dinnerWe came for an early dinner prior to an event at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts. We sat outside on the patio as it was a beautiful evening. Our servers' appetizer suggestions were excellent. We shared the Sofrito salad, Garlic Shrimp, fried plantain slices with a delicious cheesy dip, and crab cakes. The very best food was the Paella Velazquez - perfectly cooked seafood, creamy saffron rice - very flavorful! We were served promptly, and the service was excellent.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
