  • "We use to love Bamboo Club- not sure what happened. The ambience is looking a little run down, the prices definantly went up and the food does not have the presentation it use to. The service was also very poor. We use to always go to the one in Tucson and we always left like we had just had a special night out, same with the one that was on mill. The last 2 times at the scottsdale restaurant have been disappointing. It makes me sad but will not be returning."

  • "1. The menu makes it sound good...but does not describe what will arrive at your table. 2. Grease- grease- and more grease... The look, feel, and taste of the food. 3. Uneducated servers when questioning what was on menu and what subsequently arrived on table. We ordered the lobster tails... Stated that they are prepared table side...what arrived at our table were two dripping soggy battered and deep fried lobster tails- which was not what the menu described... An accurate description for that dish would have been: " Two battered and fried lobster tails from yesterday that we microwaved today. May be completely in edible and we can't prepare table side since this was cooked at least a day ago. Fried rice was rice floating in grease-"

  • "Food was fabulous as always. Sat outside but when it got cold we asked if the heater near our table could be turned on. Manager said no because of smell of gas. He said the heaters were not working properly. We really wanted to be outside but with no heaters working we asked to move inside. Waitress said 4-5 times how "slammed" they were in the kitchen and how slow the service would be. It was. Fortunately, we were in no hurry but others around us complained."

  • "what a delightful surprise! I had no idea that our neighboring bamboo club could produce genuine gourmet quality dinners. I may have had equally fine salmon dinners, but NEVER BETTER than I had the other night at bamboo club; perfectly sautéed spinach and bell pepper mix as a bed for the generous and lightly (but perfectly grilled salmon steak. For 18 dollars? P lease keep that cook (chef?)!"

It was a nice gorgeous day for a special lunch date and we weren't disappointed. Service was attentive, the ambiance was relax and easy going. We will definitely come back!"

  • "First visit. Chose frm Phx Fine Dining member list. 4 of us seated promptly but took 15 min for server to arrive. Took 20+ min for 2 drinks to be delivered. Server took order & ret shortly to say they were out of shrimp - order was chgd. 20 min later ret to say they were out of duck. Order chgd. She apologized. Told mgr our issues. He said they were not out of shrimp. Order chgd back but out of duck. His apology limited to "sorry". Food arrived & was good but we had to request utensils & napkins. 2 req to settle bill.1 to get it & 1 to random waiter to take credit cards. He did, we left, never to return. Good food not good enough to makeup for poor service & attitude. Phx Fine Dining establishment, we think not! Don't waste your time"

  • "We haven't been here in awhile. We first noticed that the prices have gone up. Our server was pleasant and had been employed there for some time. He was very informative. We got there around 5:30, ahead of the crowd. I went on YELP and checked in and found a coupon for any appetizer so we chose the Coconut Shrimp. It was definitely tasty and the bed of slaw was also appetizing. I had the Cantonese noodles which I thought were too thick, almost like the Yakisoba noodles. There wasn't that many noodles with the dish I prefer the thinner ones. There was lots of veggies and mixture of meats which overpowered the noodles. We also shared the Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Chicken which had the same ingredients as the noodle dish except for the nuts."

  • "I had been to the Phx location about 15 years ago and remembered it to be really great, with a fresh and interesting menu. I brought my husband to this location on NY Eve, expecting a really special experience. It was memorable, but not for anything positive. Having lived in California for the past 15 years, we're accustomed to bringing our own wine to dinner (paying a corking fee). We brought a bottle, and our waiter picked it up and LOUDLY said, "Are you kidding me???? You can't do that here!". Kind of a "My Cousin Vinnie" character - very loud and overstimulated in general. Others came and went by the time our food arrived and it was mediocre at best. So ordinary, I was surprised. So much for that special menu, we won't be going back."

  • "We have been customers of the Bamboo Club for more years than I can remember. The food is different and fresh and always very good. Our waiter tonight John G was fantastic. Personable, very accommodating and attentive. Our all time favorite item on the menu is the hot calamari salad, which even my husband tried tonight and loved it! The only thing tonight was that my husband said the hot and sour soup had very little flavor, but he spiced it right up with some of the hot sauce John brought to the table. Overall a very enjoyable meal."

We ordered an appetizer but had no silverware to eat with, and had to ask 2 seperate people before getting any. Our waiter rarely checked in on us & was very short with us the few times that he did. In the end I would give this place another chance seeing as we ate here on New Year's Eve & it was very busy, (maybe more staffing in the future) but as I said-the food did taste good, but the service was below par."

  • "When we arrived on Saturday night 12/21 at 5:00 pm we were given the back room as there were quite a few of us. It took what I thought a long time for the waiter to take our order for dinner. The room was very cold and I asked the waiter to turn up the heat in the room several times. I saw him go to the themostat but the room temperture never changed. We ate dinner with our coats and sweaters on. This was very uncomfortable, I will not be returning to this restuarant again in the future."

  • "The service was extremely slow! My wife and I went out with a couple good friends on a parents night out. We only a couple of hours from drop off to picking up the kids. The restaurant was 10 minutes away. We were sat immediately and the server took 10 minutes to greet us. Other tables around us were sat, and finished their apps and served their entrees before we were given our apps. The server never came back to ask us how are dinner was going. We all had to rush through our entrees and had no time for dessert before we had to go pick up the kids. We will not return again. There are too many other restaurants near your location that have better service."

  • "We always enjoy dining here. The Calamari Salad is outstanding. The soups have improved greatly since our last visit; both the wonton and the hot & sour soups are outstanding. The shrimp Vietnamese is always an excellent dish. We tried the Pad Thai this time and really liked the seasoning and the shrimp, but the chicken pieces were small, thin and rubbery. We would ask that the chicken be omitted next time, but we would order this dish again. We look forward to our next visit."
