Balkanika9th Avenue DelightLooking for a moderately priced, vegetarian friendly, pleasant place near the theatre district, we were very pleased with the result. We had a comfortable table but the music was a little loud when we sat down. At our request, the waiter immediately turned down the volume to "pleasant background" level. The food was ethnically Middle-Eastern and spot on. The 4 of us emerged satisfied at less than $100!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for an early pre-theaterGreat for an early pre-theater dinner when Tuesday's curtain is at 7PM. Four of us ate very well and will certainly return to sample more of the delicious food.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and generousExcellent food and generous portions. NYC is the town with cuisine from everywhere in the world, but we have really limited options for the Balkans, except this place. Our server was terrific to explain all the food choices.
