Bali is amazingly placed on the 2nd floor giving you large panoramic views to the ocean and the sunsets, making this place a wonderful setting for a romantic evening with your loved one. My wife is allergic to shellfish so we were not able to partake in the seafood, which I understand is very wonderful. We spent our evening enjoying the steakhouse side of their menu. The menu was not overwhelmingly extensive but there was still plenty of enticing entrees, so it was quite easy to pick what we wanted and the food that was served was prepared with a great deal of excellence. We were very happy with the evening.

I would not recommend this restaurant to someone. It is the typical resort restaurant with high prices and expensive ticket for ordinary food. We had requested a window seat and was told the only table available was reserved 3 days in advance( which we found to be untrue). Service was mediocre at best. Don't waste your money here. The only reason to eat here is if your in a pinch to get food at the last minute.

I have mixed feelings about this place. First of all they are not open on Sunday's and Monday's! What the heck people? You are in a resort area with 10's of 1000's of people who need to eat. That's just dumb. Then they are only open on the other 5 days from 5 - 9pm, seriously only 4 hours a day? Then I saw the prices, holy smokes they are high, way high. Like a party of 4 is $400 for dinner high. Now all of that being said, the steaks were excellent. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Everything here is ala cart. The side dishes and appetizers are not worth ordering. It's weird stuff, I would not eat it, but other food freaks might like it. Service was fast and friendly, but anyone can manage that if they only work 20 hours a week. In my opinion that's the most ridiculous thing about the restaurant that and the prices.

Service was outstanding, View was amazing, steak was perfect. Things that weren't perfect - asparagus was overcooked, wedge salad was less than perfect, wine selection wasn't outstanding. The most annoying part was the fireworks noise that interrupted a very romantic setting. I would recommend participating after the fireworks are finished, @ 8pm or after. The extreme price did not represent the experience.

I am a New Yorker and food is my "hobby". When I recently vacationed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, I was pleasantly surprised by the fabulous fare served at Bali Restaurant. The seafood was generously portioned, unbelievably fresh, uniquely inventive and downright delicious. It blows NYC's LeBernardin, Oceana, Seafire and Aquagrill out of the water! I regret that we did not dine at Bali every night. All of the other restaurants we went to at the resort, fell short.

On a 9-hour layover in HNL and booked a room at the Hilton Village. The place itself is over the top and too huge for our taste -- like a cruise ship on land. We wanted a nicer dinner to finish off our trip to the Islands and went to Bali. The ambiance and views are fantastic. For a hotel restaurant, the prices are "reasonable" by Hawaii standards. For this menu, think steak house with an island twist. For example, the wedge salad was not made with blue cheese, but a really fresh light tomato dressing -- excellent. We were impressed by the food but did find the service a little off kilter. They voluntarily rbought uis soup when they realized we had been waiting 20 minutes for our salads. Lamb and the chicken were outstanding.

The reviews for Bali Steak & Seafood were mixed, so we were apprehensive. But everything was outstanding. I wonder if the negative reviews were from some who wandered in thinking this was a typical hotel restaurant and were not ready to enjoy the truly superb restaurant this is.

Andreas was our server and while Alicia (General Manager) and Server John tried their best, this restaurant failed miserably.( Please note we had a wonderful experience here in 2009 when we stayed at this hotel.) Andreas (our server) lost immediate interest in us when we said we were tired from a day in the ocean. His response? "Poor You" were his exact words to me when I said we were not feeling 100% from diving/snorkeling all day. We might have ordered wine later, but you could tell he wanted us to order liquor right from the start. We had four $50 American Express Gift Cards. I showed them to him at the BEGINNING of the meal and he said he would have to see about them/their amounts. Immediate nasty attitude! We should have walked out.

We have dined at Bali's in the past, and were very pleased to find it is still an outstanding restaurant. The food selections were well presented and cooked perfectly. The service was impeccable. It doesn't get any better than dining with the sound of the ocean waves and feeling the tropical breezes. We will definitely return.

Never had dined at Bali Steak & Seafood and we had a wonderful dining experience. The various seafood & fish dishes were the best. I loved the Kona Kampachi, the fresh fish of the day was also prepared deliciously. We didn't order a Seafood Platter on the menu, but the table of 2 next to us shared it and it looked delicious. Rack of lamb was large (probably Colorado), but wasn't well seasoned - sort of bland. Would stick with the seafood. Sides and desserts were all delightful. I Recommend dining here.

Overall, this is an acceptable hotel restaurant. There are plenty of other excellent options in the Waikiki area. Scenery. Pleasant atmosphere, but there are only about 6 tables with a view. We sat by a balcony overlooking a closed breakfast lanai. The rest of the restaurant is nice enough but interrupted by the servers' work stations. Service. We had a team rather than an individual. All seemed knowledgeable about our orders. Food. We ordered opah & snapper. The meals were very good but not "special." The "family style" asparagus was something we could get at home. At these prices, we expected a very outstanding, noteworthy vacation meal with special recipes. This restaurant didn't deliver.

What a great place to enjoy with friends. The staff was courteous and friendly. Did not rush us through our meal, they were very patient which gave us time to talk and enjoy the fantastic view of the beach and sunset. The steaks were especially good. Very tender and delicious. Cocktails, wine and after dinner drinks were perfect. We had not been there since it had been remodeled but it was as lovely as ever. I look forward to enjoying another meal there with friends and family.

Way overpriced. If I'm going to pay $60 for a meal, it better be fantastic. I could have made this at home. $9 for "potato purée". It was straight up mashed. No seasoning or anything. Maybe two spud's worth in a small bowl. Ridiculous.

Very nice spot for a night out with someone special. Ordered the 16oz Bone in Ribeye, which was fantastic. My wife had the fillet and we shared lobster potato gratin (very good). Service was great and our team of servers did a very nice job of pampering us. This restaurant compares to Ruth Chris, Morton's and Mastro's City Hall in Scottsdale. Desert and coffee capped off a great night. If you are a foodie and love to spend a nice evening out while on vacation this is the place. Resort casual is fine for this establishment as well (aloha attire).

Bread stale. Fish over cooked. Creamed spinach was in a thin milk sauce with a foul smelling melted cheese on top. Chairs were terribly uncomfortable. Once seated had to wait for 5 min to get menu. Restaurant manager did make it right for the bill, but unless they get a new chef and new dining chairs and get the initial seating down with menu, I would avoid this restaurant.

We have been going to Bali for 10 years for special occasions and for the wonderful food, ambiance and view. We were very disappointed in the "modern" Bali, as it went from Fine Dining to "modern". Although the menu options were sparce, the filet mignon was wonderful. The wait staff especially Chris was amazing. She has waited on us for years and remains highly professional as though she was still providing a fine dining experience.

After the waitress made a big deal to make sure we were aware that the ahi would be served medium rare it was over cooked along with the filet mignon. Waitress pretty much ignored our table and it wasn't as if they were too busy. Our reservation was 8:00pm. After being served, she didn't ask how everything was or did we need anything else. Very disappointed with the server and the food was very expensive. Bad experience all the way around.

The restaurant is open air and not air conditioned and affords an incredible ocean view. The dining area was comfortable with enough space between tables. Although the steak was asked to be medium rare it came medium. Dining between 5-6pm offers a 15% discount. The desserts are excellent but small--especially the candy bar. It is pricey.

The service provided by Ricky and Hector was excellent. The food and wine list, however, leave a lot to be desired. For a high end steak and seafood restaurant on a resort, the self-induced standards should be much higher. The cuts of meat were well inferior to places like Ruth's Chris and Donovan's and even Morton's (of which I am not a huge fan). Both my wife's and my steaks were well overcooked. Medium rare should not be difficult, but this may be due to the inferior cut of meat. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The Tropics bar and grill had better food. Ruths' Chris is not far away. Go there instead.
