We had a great table with a veiw of the bay and by a fireplace (was a chilly night). The hand crafted cocktails were excellent as was the goat cheese salad that we split. I enjoyed the wood grilled prawns which, although cooked perfectly did not taste wood grilled at all. My husband had a double pork chop which was also excellent. The best however was the sweet corn and bacon pudding - delicious! Baleen is an exception, and the surprising and inventive menu is what does it. Good food, excellent service and friendly people. The place had a great view, great setting, great.... Food - lobster bisque was #1 in San Diego. The steaks were above average. Will we go back?
