We were coming from a presentation at Tyler Florence's Shop and decided to try it for dinner because the food had been so good at lunch. I ordered the "Chicken Pilliard" which was a special on Tuesday and it was delicious! The service was first class as far as the drinks and appetizers. It did take the main courses a little longer to arrive than we expected, but they were worth the wait. We were offered free drinks if we wanted to wait which was very nice. The problem was fixed and again were informed promptly - so we stayed for dinner. Waiter was very good and accommodating. The music became annoying as talking was a problem. Would have been nice if music had not been "electrified". We will go back - but not on a Wednesday night!

We invited two friends to join us and they cleaned their plates despite the large portions (breast and thigh). I would add that their wedge salad is a great meal in itself. We tend to go early during the week when the noise level is reasonable. When the bar fills up it can get "energetic". My only complaint is they need to bring back their fried green tomatoes which were great. Oops, one other complaint: the house chardonnay was rather bland on our last visit. And, whoever the smug manager guy walking around doing nothing is, that isn't helping.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our second visit,This was our second visit, and our waiter Mark recognized us (after 5 or 6 weeks) and cheerily did all the things that you want an excellent waiter to do. He recommended a cocktail - the Spicy Paloma- that exactly suited my mood - a salty dog with a kick. My husband and I shared the baby gem wedge salad - head & shoulders above the normal variety with iceberg lettuce, at least IMHO. The guys had the pork chop which was done to a T. The gals had the caramelized salmon, and the mushrooms were especially tasty. The salmon was well cooked as well. Our friends brought a special bottle of wine, and Mark immediately offered to decant it.

The hostess seated us immediately at a small table by the bar. Mark was our server and was delightful. He suggested i try the Skinny Girl martini which was wonderful. My husband ordered the short rib hash with eggs and cleaned his plate. I had the corn flake French toast with berries which was yummy.
