"We went to Balade on a Saturday night for dinner, and it was an overall nice experience. I wasn't blown away by the food, although it was certainly nice to have something different for a change. The starters are all good, everything tastes fresh and the pita is very thin and nice -- you don't fill up right away. For my main I had the lamb kebab which was cooked perfectly and the rice was very authentic. I guess my one complaint is that they kept moving our table so people could get in and out of the seats on either side of us so I was always having to put my fork down. Next time I'd ask for a corner seat next to the wall so I wouldn't be bothered, or I'd just sit at the bar."

"This is the third time we've dined at Balade, and are making it one of our regular places to eat. Everything we've tried has been absolutely delicious — not a dud meal in the bunch. The manager has always come to our table to make recommendations and see that we have had a good experience. We tend to come early for dinner, but I would recommend coming after 7 pm, when the restaurant gets more crowded and lively. It's always been a good experience."

"I chose Balade almost randomly for a group (6 person) brunch and it was EXCELLENT. The service was extremely attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. Try the much-touted scrambled eggs with figs. Really a great spot if you're looking to experience a brunch that is delicious and comfortable without having to wait for a table, fight crowds, and be shooed away for the next waiting group."

"Even though one member of our party was late, they seated us and didn't hurry us. The Lebanese wine was wonderful, and they have a good range of plates, especially good when there's a vegetarian friend with you. The fresh bread was wonderful and everyone loved the food!"
