Food average, not much for vegetarians. Had to ask for my drink 3x. They were flexible and let me order off the lunch menu though. But much better restaurants around the area.

Baklava had a warm, welcoming, European vibe from the moment we walked in. The service was outstanding (we loved the little nibble of warm baklava and vanilla ice cream the waiter provided as a surprise at the end of the meal). The food was authentic, delicious and not too fussy (hummus, kibbeh, chicken shish and eggplant stuffed with ground beef and vegetables). We were having such a great time that we lingered for another half hour over our wine and never felt rushed or pressed to "turn the table." Overall, just a fantastic place. It was our first time there and we will definitely return. I think it's a real gem that, when sandwiched between the higher-profile Lavanda and Evvia, may not get as much attention as it deserves.

Fabulous food flavors. Staff is very attentive and happy to be working there. They were delighted to have our business. Food and wine were generous, fresh and delicious. Ambiance is charming. Healthy, delicious food that actually tastes good! Love this place.

Open table did not allow us to make a reservation for 9, but we were accommodated easily after making a reservation for 8. Cocktails were very good, lahmacun and baba ghanoush were very good, fried cheese was great, calamari and octopus were only OK. Lamb shish kebab was fantastic, smoky, tender, as one might expect from a Turkish restaurant. Pistachio kebab and whole sea bass were also great. Salmon was a little over-charred. Baklava was full of pistachios and couldn't be any better. Prices were very reasonable - I hope they stay that way as this place becomes better known. This space has seen frequent turnover in the past few years, but I hope Baklava is here to stay.
