BSB has a very lovely, European ambiance that has the feeling of being in Paris. The wait service is friendly and courteous and the level of service remains constant. From an excellent reasonably priced wine, appetizers, entrees and dessert we had a great meal with very good service. The pâté appetizer is rich and generously portioned so sharing was in order. Our entrees included succulent mussels with fabulous fries, a heavenly halibut dish and tasty lamb chops. We stayed for dessert and that was well worth the calories - apple tarte with precise thin cut slices of apple was both beautiful and yummy. The balsamic strawberries exceeded expectations. Plus, the coffee was also aromatic. If you bring wine corkage is waived if you also buy a bottle, which we did. The Moules Provencale (avec frites) was probably the best I've ever had. I had the halibut as my entree and it was excellent. The pork loin that came with the prix fixe was a little dry though.
The desserts were all excellent (apple tarte - prix fixe, the chocolate mousse & profiteroles).
The service was only "very good" though. As always, everything was completely delicious and service was marked by the highest level of professionalism. Each dish was created with every detail in mind and the flavors were developed expertly and exactly. Our servers were helpful, gracious and attentive. The mussels were just excellent and the lamb stew was great comfort food on a chilly evening.
