The food, the menu, the staff and service, and the historic charm of this magnificent establishment are all spectacular.

Baker House focuses on small plates or shared plates. We travelled back in time, and thoroughly enjoyed the grand piano playing and the singing. The laughter, and playfulness surrounding us was infectious. The sustenance was beautiful, and attractively arranged on beautiful antique plates and platters. My Tuscan chicken and sausage torellini was heavenly!! My fiance's steak was perfection. Donning several hats until we found two that fit our personalities was much of the fun of this historic mansion facing the shores of Lake Geneva. We had a variety of delectable dishes including a bananas foster French Toast that was to die for. The Baker House is one of my favorite destination spots. It's romance and nostalgia take you for a ride away from the mainstream. Servers were awesome, and etold us about the Sunday brunch. Now THAT was amazing! The food was really good, and some things could be made to order. I would certainly go back, and have already recommended this place to friends.

Most of the food we had such (we went with 6 appetizer plates to share & both deserts) was scrumptious, altho the chicken & shrimp scewers were a tad dry. But the food is such a small part of going to Baker House. The setting, the seating, the staff... all contribute to one of the most unique, fun & memorable dining experiences you can have in this area. Perfect for all... couples, groups & families alike! Service was outstanding! It was amazing. Our service was kind of slow and our server didn't offer more drinks or remember that she ordered me an egg benedict from the chef. We asked her to take our picture and she forgot that too, we asked again and it was taken care of. Food was amazing. Our table was awesome. We sat on the front porch on a couch looking out on the lake. Could not have been any nicer. We dressed in 1920 costumes and headed over for drinks and dinner. The food was good, the staff was dressed in period costumes, which made us really excited. We took a guided tour of the house and had a great time. The food was lovely and the drinks were great. Lake Geneva is a good meeting place for all of us. This was our first time visiting The Baker House and all of it's charms. From the moment we stepped in the door, we were greeted in cheer, with dress, decor & ambiance of the roaring 20s. We were seated early for our 6:00pm reservation the the front parlor at a perfect table with a settee facing the lake and comfy chairs on either side, so all 4 of us were able to enjoy the view. We enjoyed wearing a variety of provided hats as we caught up on life, sipping champagne & sharing tasty appetizers. We watched the sun set and topped the evening off with chocolate fondue and coffee, relaxed & unrushed. She met us when we arrived and remembered my request. The chef made a special effort to be sure my meal was safe for me - it was fantastic! I didn't think the food would be good. Surprise. We played it safe spinach salad. Fondue dessert. The cozy rooms feel like you are eating at home. Our server was lovely.
