  • "It was my birthday and it was a bad one.Despite my early reservation, we have been seated only 1 hour!! later, as soon as we sat, the server announced that the kitchen is closing and we need to hurry up with our order. Throughout the night my husband has been asked at least 5 times!! by different people (server, manager, another server) to order $1200 bottle of champagne with "special" service from a "clown" in skimpy underwear. These people literally have dollar signs on their faces, that's the only thing they care about. After 12am this upscale restaurant turned into a fun house where every "lady" feels like she MUST jump on a table and shake it hard. Will I go again? yes, when I feel like I need to waste a lot of money on a messy party.."

  • "Bagatelle has a lot going for it, cool location, traditional decor spiced up with not so traditional art, the food is well prepared, and the wine list, although limited, offers great choices, and the service is attentive. The only downer, and this tends to apply to so many restaurants, is why do hostesses feel compelled to try and seat a couple who clearly are out on a romantic dinner date in the rows of two seater tables that are as intimate as a locker room shower."

  • "I love this area of the city. My sister and I love the city this time of year and Bagatelle did not disappoint. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the gnocci as an appetizer. The risotto I had with dinner was delicious. The staff was very attentive. There were a bunch of xmas dinners going on and the crowd was great. If I did not have after dinner plans I would have definitely stayed for some extra drinks. I cannot wait to go back."

  • "Bagatelle had been recommended by a few so we decided to try it out for a late dinner upon our arrival in NY. The restaurant was very busy but our table was waiting for us and although you better reserve ahead of time if your not a regular they quickly made us feel at home. Started with Truffle pizza which was great and then had the oysters and rack of lamb. We had such a nice time we booked for their famous weekend brunch. FYI, I have never experienced anything like it before!!! Had an amazing but you better let the kids at home and be ready to order a few bottles of Champagne and Vodka...by 4 pm, the place could have competed with some of the best clubs in South Beach"

Unfortunately, the day we visited the restaurant it was for lunch on Friday and although very close to the Highline , Chelsea Market and other sites, the place was almost empty. Might be a great place over weekend and evenings as well as brunch on Sunday. Service was excellent and hope to be able to go back one day."

  • "A massive waterbug fell onto our booths from the ceiling above inches from my head. The wait staff and management was incredible apologetic and accomodating but it still ruined the dinner."

  • "We dinned at Bagatelle on Sunday and we were surprised by the fact that there were a significant amount of dinners. Ambience was great, I loved the music and the food. Nevertheless, I think that service has to improve. They were not only slow but they did not have the minimal intention to help. I asked for a steak and 2 min later I wanted to change the side dish (purée instead of fried potatoes). They told me that it was not possible even though it took them another 20min to bring my main course. At the end, I asked for a tea that never came. I think Bagatelle is a very nice option if you don't mind the service."

  • "During fashion Week most popular rstaurants are hopping. This one is famous for the Saturday brunch party but was not busy at all from 9:00 to 11:00. Surprising. The food was good though and the place was nice. needed a little more fun going on that night though. I would however go back."

  • "Nice decor, poor service, actually we didn't get it, we got served by 4 different guys, we felt like there was no personal service. Very loud music, loud crowd! We got a table next to a group table (we were three), the guys and girls next to us were dancing on the chairs running around, no one asked them to get down or to keep it down! The bill!!! Very high! Not worth it at all! Oh and the music... GET A DJ, cause it was poor quality! songs cut in half... to me it's should be a bar!"
