A word from Bagatelle - Los Angeles
Bagatelle Los Angeles redefines the French Mediterranean dining through the exquisite seasonal menu and a beautifully designed space with outdoor seating. Located on La Cienaga in the heart of West Hollywood, Bagatelle brings a new "joie de vivre" to LA, mirroring that which can only be found in the South of France, until now...
Bagatelle's contempary French Cuisine finds its roots on two continents. Our Chef grew up in Normandy, Alsace, Brittany and began cooking in local restaurants at a young age, before moving on to work under such visionaries as Alain Ducasse, Laurent Gras, Troigros, Daniel Boulud or Geoffrey Zakarian in Manhattan.

Diner Reviews
  • "We got to the restaurant to find it empty, which was fine. As soon as we sat down, we were informed that that they were out of the salmon. I was disappointed because that's what I wanted to order. I looked at the menu again and found a few smaller items I wanted. I asked to start with the butternut squash soup, to which the waitress responded that she thought they might be out of that, and she left to check. When she returned, she informed us that, in fact, they were out of it. Given how small the number of offerings on the menu, we just gave up at that point and went to another restaurant."

  • "Great service, managers are roaming around asking clientele hues everything! Good job!"

  • "Food is out of this world, but noise level is so high you can't talk. Speakers blaring from all walls, no quiet area. They cater to the hip crowd that strolls in after 10:30, don't really care about the dinner crowd. It's a shame, as food is divine, restaurant itself is very pretty, service is great but definite headache making"

  • "Even though it took awhile for our food to get to my table, the manager was nice enough to comp our drinks."

  • "The music was being so loudly, my dinner companions and I couldn't hear each other and had to ask that the music be turned down."

  • "I really expected a lot more from this place. I didn't have the best experience. The music was so loud that everyone was shouting to speak to each other. Great if you're at the bar area but not if you're sitting and trying to eat. If you are not a smoker like I am, try to be seated far from the outside lounge. Everytime the door to the outside was open, i could smell cigarette smoke. Then at one point, the door was left open and it was so bad, my hair reeked of smoke after i left. My petite filet was BARELY hot, maybe warm. We didnt get refills on our water until after the glasses were empty. It wasn't even crowded so there's no excuse to not notice our waters. Waitress was just okay."

  • "but don't want to go to a club, this is the place to be. However, noise level can be a bit overwhelming if you sit to close to the speakers. Service was phenomenal. We had travelzoo vouchers but still received excellent attention. Tell them it's your birthday and they offer you a very fancy smancy ice cream sundae...you are in for a 'treat!'"

  • "Was entranced by Bagatelle at brunch a few weeks ago and decided to introduce friends to this vixen for a Friday dinner. Come early (8:00) for conversation before the crowds happen, then stay for great drinks and a hot scene. Their logo is a perfect representation: classy & elegant mixed with whimsy & crazy."

  • "Had a 9PM dinner reservation -- was not seated till after 10PM even though we arrived 10 minutes before 9pm. Front end staff were rude when I went back to the front desk and asked for an update. I have never had to wait so long for dinner when I had confirmed reservations. However... One of the hostesses noticed we had been waiting for over an hour and comped us a round of drinks which was nice but the wait really killed the evening. The food was excellent, at least what we tried, and the actual table service was also very good. The noise level made it difficult to have a conversation. This place is more for a larger bday dinner group not for small groups or table of twos. I won't return unless for a bday party or similar event."
