Backstreet BistroDelicious Italian FoodThis was our last night in Palm Desert & we chose the restaurant based on great reviews. We were totally pleased. Appetizers were delightful: crab cakes with an unusual combination of peppers in the sauce and bruschetta. The waitress helped us choose our entrees and our party of 4 loved each one including salmon and various pastas. Our bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon was amazing: smooth, velvety taste. The ambiance is charming, the food is delicious, and it is great to sit outside in the warm evenings. We had fettucine alfredo and veal scallopine and both were wonderful. I loved it and my husband loved it. The owner is very attentive though I can't say the same about all of her staff. The tiramsu is the absolute best I have had. Food is great and always fresh. They have music on Tuesday evenings and the owners make an effort to greet everyone and welcome you if they are around. Lots of choices and they adjust their seasonings etc. to suit you if you ask. Salmon (when it's on the menu) is always fresh and tasty.
